RCBS DIES FIXED MY ISSUES ALSO!!! Sent my dies to Lee Precision and they told me the chamber on my Savage bolt action and my Wilson Combat barrels were tight tolerances,...send some fired rounds and they would make a die to fit my once fired brass ? My brass kept getting stuck in the chambers after firing...Also a collet crimp die takes out the bulge under the reloaded bullets...
Along with polishing the feed ramps and chamber to a mirror finish, I do the same with the dies that contact the case. Eliminates problems by having things incredibly slick.
I have both sets of dies and have had no problems with either. I have been reloading this cartridge since it came out. I will agree it can be a bit troublesome mainly if using in an AR platform. That is when it is most critical as to OAL. As for the crimping of this round; you only roll crimp if there is a cantilever on the bullet otherwise it is a taper crimp or collet crimp. You could cause pressure issues otherwise. If you do not have a taper crimp, you can use the case length sizer die as a makeshift crimp after seating. It works just fine.
The bullet seating die in every RCBS and Lee die set I've ever used, is specifically designed to affix varying degrees of taper and roll crimps when seating the bullet, if so desired. No need for any "makeshift" utilizations when handloading this or any other cartridge using either set.
My Lee set did the same thing, wouldn't size the base of the cases. I ended up going with the Lyman MSR set, which has a small base die. Glad I'm not the only one. Thanks for sharing with us 👍👊🇺🇸
I have the Lee set. I use an AR platform. Not sure why yours is not full length sizing. I have never had that problem. Using all sorts of projectiles. Using WIN, Hornady, and Starline brass. They all work well. I will recommend you stick to the taper crimp method. That is the correct way to get this cartridge to head space. Also, case length has a small window to work with, so measure and trim as needed EACH time you reload the brass. My 170gr Hornady's always shoot outstanding.
I load the 165 FTX with Win 296 and 4227 powder in my TC Venture II. Figure out where the bullet touches the lands and back off .030” to load. Make sure to trim your brass regularly also. I simplified reloading by sizing the case and no flare. .355-.356 bullets seat just fine. I lightly taper crimp with a Lee die to finish. I use Hornady sizing and loading die.
I subscribed with notifications, excited to see stuff on the 350 legend, I got a Lyman die set and I want to load mostly 9mm projectile plinkers sub 2000 fps but also plan to get some more suitable rifle bullets aswell
Yeah boss on your RCVS reloading dyet reloading dies make a suggestion take your seating when you take the talk out go in and Polish that bullet seating up a little bit on the inside make it a little smoother it's got a little bit over rough and sometimes what it'll do is it won't go in the case gate right andibble drop and Biddle the chamber and the rifle it has a lot to do with the way that the end of that bullet cockeyed sometimes you might check that it worked for me it might work for you a little bit and it'll go into that cascade's a little better Another thing is if you start seeing bubble guppies with the RCBS coin that dank really well because I've had it happen to me were you doing it where are you doing a 160 grain bullets
Calibrate your scale and weigh the powder b4 you put the powder in the case. I was actually laughing at your procedure and wondering how you thought that that was the way to go.
I won't even comment on the charging operation. In the three videos I noted you have some reloading manuals perhaps you should read them. Some useful info there.
From what I understand it’s a roll crimp instead of a taper crimp so I ditched it. Can always pick another one up later if need be. Might try and snag the RCBS taper crimp die
Its always fun to see new reloaders go orgasmic when a quality piece of equipment gets the job done. Now get that red piece of shit on the bench off of there and get a quality press from rcbs too. Anything else that is lee needs to go into the dumpster as well and replaced with quality.

I had great results with 26gr of H110 with the 165 FXT in a AR Ploatformand cycled perfit every time.
So far I haven't had any problems with feeding or cycling using the Lee dies. Some of my cases are on their 5-6 time around.
I probably should have tried a test in the rifle barrel before I switched

No problem thanks for giving the video a look!

I haven’t been able to venture too far away from this load yet. Hopefully sometime! Thanks for the sub 👍🏼🇺🇸
It's such a multi purpose round
Compare dimensions with the factory round

Thanks for the info!
I'm looking at getting a 350 cva single shot because Illinois is too fucking stupid. Any suggestions for loads on this?
So was it the lee dies, causing the problem
Others have stated no issues with the Lee dies, but I do know that once I switched I did not have a problem again.
I don't know the troubles you had with Lee dies but I have Lee dies for the 350 and had zero issues
That had to be the most painful charging I've ever seen.
It was brutal! I’ll use the powder measure from now on
I've actually used tweezers for the last few flakes and it wasn't that painful.
Next time try the CCI number 400's they seemed to be almost as consistent as the CCI BR's , n that's if u can fined them good luck n be careful
LOL> some ;people just should not be reloading.
I also have the same problem with Lee dies. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Agreed.

Don’t worry everything is calibrated and set up way before I get into the video. Even if it’s not seen on screen. Thanks for watching!

Can barely hear you friend.
Should have kept the Lee factory crimp die.
From what I understand it’s a roll crimp instead of a taper crimp so I ditched it. Can always pick another one up later if need be. Might try and snag the RCBS taper crimp die
No it uses a collet for the taper.
get a powder trickler. I stay strickiy RCBS dies I never had any problems. I dont like Lee dies they are Junk in my opinion.
