  • Is the new Karizma XMR like the original Karizma? In a word, not even a little bit. Three things. First, the original Karizma's appeal was about it being larger in engine size, physical size and feel than everything else on the market. It felt substantial in a very appealing way. Today, not only is making a motorcycle larger than everything else in the volume segment impossible, the Karizma XMR is formatted as a sportsbike which means light and compact are essential to the XMR. Second, the Honda-developed Zma engine produced torque, with a relatively weak top end. It was this easy acceleration that defined the riding experience. The XMR is the literal opposite - not only is it's best performance past 7,000rpm, it thoroughly enjoys the revs too. Third, Hero's obviously kept the initial colours similar to the original but the full fairing -- good looking! -- is more like the bloaty ZMR than the stylish (for the time) ZMA.

    Best bike in the segment proud owner ridden 2 k + kms in 2 months not faced any issues and the best part is servicing and customer hospitality .

    The OG ZMA sort of has an ADV like stance with the raised handlebars and the small fairings. A very wild thought - What if the 440 Xpulse Hero is working on is actually the successor of the OG ZMA? Hero can simply change the wheels to alloy ones, add fairings and some minor design tweaks and market it as new Karizma (220 x 2= 440 lol)

    Original karizma was a jugaad. With a honda crf230 engine which belongs to a adventure bike, it wasnt really sporty but was a big commuter motorcycle.

    Hero can technically build a Karizma R with the same 210 architecture so same chassis, engine.etc,only with a different subfrsme for a comfy single piece seat. Question is will they do it.

    Wow! everyone said the same thing new Karizma was totally a different bike . Now am in real dilemma should I own one or not .. i have already been through disappointment with my Xtreme 2014 model though that bike never give me any headache but I didn't enjoy riding it like first Xtreme .. i just don't want to repeate the whole disappointment again ...

    your voice is way too low, when compared to other channels or in general youtube shorts and vedios. For same volume, others are clearly audible. I need to concentrate to hear you, which isnt a good thing!

    I'm thinking of upgrading my scooty could you please make a vid on best value for money scooty in 2023
    currently I own Access 125 but I'm bored of it now tbh ik its a great scooty but after several check ups by mechanics, service center .. I'm getting a mileage of 25-30kmpl and I have a daily up and down of 30kms at least

      Fun no milage test drive the N-torque no need of flat bottom try Aerox do test drive not sure how they are to ride but heard they are good

      And if it is carburettor you can find the manual look at the normal AFR settings and fiddle with it a little for milage

      None of my suggestions are VFM to be fair, but do consider switching to electric scooters if you have access (pun not intended) to a charging point.
      TVS iQube is a nice practical E scoot, takes away the major pain point of TVS vehicles, i.e service. Just visit the ASC for regular checkups to maintain warranty.
      If EVs aren't your thing, consider getting the Avenis / Burgmann 125. These two share the same mechanicals as your Access, just different body styles, so take your pick after a test ride. Avenis for the sporty stylish scooter, Burgmann for the calm comfy maxi styled scooter.
      If you can live with somewhat inconsistent service experience, then TVS has decent offerings too, the Ntorq can turn the mundane daily commute into a fun sprint.

    I dont think so new generation XMR is light weight or smaller,according to the present generation they have made it due to competetion..

    Hero doesn't realize their potential in sport segment, when the xmr 2 comes or if it comes that will be the og karizma

    maybe og karizma was good cause r15 didn't existed back then not sure though whn was r15 launched in india by yamaha..
