- The Xtreme 160R was created as a sporty and lightweight contender from Hero in the class that is owned by two big names, Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache. Now, Hero's rolling out an updated 4-valve engine to create a more persuasive package, with a wider variant spread and what you see on the screen is the top variant with the upside down forks. The design is on the busy side but quality levels are up, and the performance should be better too. What is clear is that the suspension setup is the highlight of this video series. It really works well making the 160R 4V feel sporty but remains comfortable in most situations too. The 160R hasn't seen much success and in this FAQ series, we're working out the highs and lows of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.

2024 model is further updated now with dual channel abs and split seat is removed.
I own one the 2v one and trust me it's a delight to have it, daily commute.. yes, weekend rides... Yes, it never goes out of breath returns atleast 45 to 50 kmpl mileage apart from that the stability that it provides even though being soo light is a treat in fact I love it soo much that I'm willing to buy the 4v rather than upgrading to a bigger cc

I own the Xtreme 160r 4v base model and it's a kind of flawless for me in the city.
I generally miss the 6th gear in highways. But 80kmph cruising speed is not so bad at all.

I've always found the Xtreme 160R cute. Did it actually fail? I see way too many of them wherever I go.
I meant the 2-Valve variant, not the new one. The 4v is actually a rare find!
The Apache is the most popular 4v bike in the market, Apache 2vs are rarely seen now.
@@snehasishdev3296 I know. In theory, the RTR 160 4v has the highest torque in it's segment too! So it's an obvious choice for city commuters.

The design of Xtreme 4v is far better than Apache that looks outdated by now..Only Pulsar N 160 comes close..
As a matter of fact I own the 2v bike and go on weekend rides where I keep up with Royal Enfields and it never goes out of breath that's the potential of this bike

Just commenting to let you guys know, in case you missed out, that the new 160r 4v has been updated with dual channel abs and redesigned tail section. I believe the dual channel abs alone can change its value a lot more now.

Please bring the reviews of rtr 4v siblings. I want shumi to explain the handling capability of rtr200 4v compared to ns200 and r15 v3/v4.
I don't think they'll cover those bikes anymore cause they've done it in their former automotive channels. Check out shumi's rtr 200 4v and 160 4v videos back when he was in PD, plenty of stuff there. That's what I did when I couldn't find too!

@@ayushluther the 2024 version of the rtr 160 got the update of the dual channel abs, which was the only thing missing from the bike, I agree that's not worth a whole video, but a short would do good as well👍. But a triple threat between the rtr , n160 and the extreme 160 (or) ns 160 would be a good video to watch. The 200 4v in my opinion needs a set of usd's and maybe liquid cooling as an update.
@ayushluther That shouldn't be a reason for @motorinc to not produce a video on rtr's. They're creating a different form of content when compared to regular automotive channels. If what you're saying is true, then why in the hell will they make a video on decade old ns200?? Compared to that machine, rtr got better with the time apart from the service center issues. And why I'm requesting them to create one video just because shumi pointing out rtr200 4v as a better performing bike along with handling. If that's true, I want to know from him how much well that bike really is. I just rid one, and I didn't feel the same.
I have the Xtreme 4v H-CONNECT VERSION,
Top speed 128kmph
Cruising speed 85 kmph
Mileage 45kmpl is ridden between 55 to 72kmph
H-CONNECT features are helpful.

I own the 2v model... stealth V1. If you know what you are doing with this bike, it's a menace...the immediate grunt of the engine and specially the handling...god bless SHOWA Forks.... Many people are scared of the rear lock while braking but sliding the rear before entering a corner is unmatched. Only problem is the damn header pipe rust. Mileage is also good 45-50 easy. I found using Hero Synthetic oil better than the normal oil...change it every 2 service.

Kind of bad timing. They just updated the bike lol. But I guess the change is just cosmetic so the review will still hold up. I think the bike after the update is easily the best choice in the segment.

I took test ride but the handle position was not at all comfortable for me atleast maybe im more of a aggressive positioned rider ... But the moment i sat on pulsar n160 ... I knew it was made for me ❤

Dear team Motorinc, can you guys consider the latest version of 160r 4v which now gets a dual channel abs and redesigned taillamp? So it will be much easier to consider the bike for upcoming buyers.

Hi @guyfrommadras, MotorInc does not recommend Ola products at the moment because we do not think they're reliable enough. We'd suggest that you test ride the iQube and the Ather 450S/Rizta if you can. Please get back to us if you had more questions after that.

Apache has vibration problem
Using the Base model of 160R - 4V. Honest review - Its a very bad product from Hero. Mileage is pretty bad & the engine somehow restricts itself solely on high RPMs. The pulsars are frugal in this aspect. Push it & forget it but the Hero isnt like that. Its more of a feeling comfortable in its own rev band.
Along with that Hero service is worst of all.
