Spray the little spring with some silicone spray gone
Thanks for the response Bob but it needed a little more than silicone spray this time round.
I have just bought a 2016 Freedom sunseeker caravan. The 1rst owner had at truma (trauma) motor mover on it. I am very unimpressed with it 1 it adds extra weight 2 it is faulty on the N/S the motor makes a grinding noise and doesn't work like a gearbox cog is stripped I strongly suspect (made in China). Most of the caravaners on TH-cam say caravan movers are great (do they know how to reverse a caravan?).
I live in a tourist area in Scotland and about 70%-80% of caravaners/campers don't have a clue how to drive correctly. Are these caravan movers aimed at the type of caravaners other road users dislike? I have thought hard about any advantages and the main 1 no-one on TH-cam mentions is avoiding clutch wear if the mover is working.Enough of my rant I enjoyed your video and hope you are the 30% of good caravaners.
I would agree it's important that everyone learns how to reverse a caravan as you don't want to be in a position where the motor mover fails and you are unable to complete the move. However, I do believe they are worthwhile but that's my opinion, without ours we wouldn't be able to put the caravan on the drive, and we've been on site we very little room between pitches so don't see why you put yourself through all that stress when you can spin the caravan on the spot.
Do the rollers come off easy and how?
Yes easy, just remove the three bolts at the end which will allow for the end cap to come away, you can then remove the roller, it’s just pushed in.

Maybe in the future but we go out too much to get away with a motorhome, maybe once we've got rid of the kids lol
