Thank you so much for making this video. I followed Powrtouch instructions for removing the cover, they never mentioned doing what you did. Now I know. Thank you. 👍👍👍
Hi Richard, excellent video and thank you. However a question if I may. I need to replace the inner and outer bearings but removing them is not easy, any tips?
Glad you found the video useful. I used lots of WD40 and different screwdrivers. Firstly I used a levering action between the roller and the bearing, then as it opened up a bit a twisting action and finally a chiselling action with a light hammer and broad screwdriver - always rotating the shaft after each strike so the bearing didn’t bite into the shaft. I may have been lucky and guilty of tool abuse!
Glad i came across you. I was operating lever to engage movers, Heard a bang on the other mover, Now its stuffed. I undone hexagon bolt and thought the cover would come off..... Oh no no no!! Because of you , i now know, So simple. Do tomorrow i van investigate the broken!?!? Internal part.
Hi great video I'm fitting one of these to my caravan now I'm just wondering how big is the gap between the motor mover and wheels before it is engaged thanks
Hi - you can only remove the roller by completely dismantling the mover. There is a bolt through the gear inside the housing through into the end of the roller so you can never just pull/wack it out after removing the “3 bolt” roller end cover. Does that answer your question?
This is exactly the video I needed to find. Thanks
I’m trying this tomorrow so this has been very helpful!!!
@@jimmystobbart6968 good luck - and expect to get grubby!

Very helpful Richard. Thank you.

@@MrRichardmorris yes. I had it dismantled, it just needed a couple of whacks with a hammer to get the spline of the roller to release. 👍 Thanks.
@@themorfill Brilliant!
