That plate in front of the winch is for states that require a front license plate. Its a great idea because it makes the plate removable.

Exactly. Front plates are required in Texas and a lot of these trucks sell there

I’ve installed winches on my last two trucks. I wouldn’t have a truck without one for my circumstances. I will say the wireless remotes seem to have a slight delay in operation as compared to plugging in the wired switch. Not a big deal normally but if you’re trying to finesse a recovery or winch job the plugged in one is more precise.

If you dont have a front plate in CA you can get a ticket.....when you go to an airport especially you will most certainly get one, some states its mandatory......the fact they have a solution is actually good.......think outside your lil bubble you call home, not everyone lives there
if this is a pre sold truck I would actually be pretty pissed some You Tuber is screwing around with my shit to get content....

Yup, front plate holder. The kicker is that a front plate is still required under Utah law, where he's shooting the video.

The winch control is mounted to the inside of the passenger front fender because the container bottles for the fluids such as windshield washer fluid is on the driver side

The winch on the Chevy accessories website is $2,300 plus the install kit from AEV for $350. That’s $2,650 for a winch. Then add the AEV front bumper which will be $3k+. That’s $6k minimum for the front bumper and will likely be more. The payload on the 2500 is too low. Really need to add the bumper and winch to a 3500 with more payload.

That’s not how that works when you get running boards on the truck. We don’t pick what goes on the truck. If that is the only option for that spec truck then it’s in the sequence. They are put in sequence from a build sheet then sent to the line to be put on. So for example if say the regular at4x gets a black trim on the running board and then GM decides that the AEV version get the chrome that’s how we have to build it.

Would be nice if the remote outlet was in the truck. Or just gave a wireless remote like you said. Prolite winch bumper looks like an affordable diy winch bumper.

It comes with both a wired and wireless remote.

The steps are dealer installed and the probably grabbed the wrong ones. The winch plate and winch are available through GM. Winching is supposed to be a controlled recovery and the wireless seem to suck.
