Getting Eichel has gotta rank right up there among the best GM moves ever. I always knew he was a highly skilled player, but had no idea he was such a big boy. Not only is he extremely talented with a sick reach, he's also a smart player with a very high hockey IQ.The guy's a superstar who's best years are still ahead of him.. Again, congrats!!!

As an avalanche fan, (and was in Vegas during finals) I've experienced Knight Fandom first hand. Multiple people have told me that this is their team not raiders not anyone else. This is THEIR Victory. Just like Nuggets's win was to us here im denver. Congrats!!!
Yep I'm born and raised in Las Vegas. Vgk is our team. our heart and soul goes through them. I've never been to a Raiders game ,and I Don't' plan on never attending one. A's defiantly won't be a Vegas team either.

Can i ask u, are the Nuggets really that much more popular than the Avs in Denver? But why? When Avs won it, was the city not as excited as it was when Nuggets won it?? I mean, the avs are such an exciting team to watch. With Mackinnon and Makar, how can they not be as popular as Nuggets? And they are great too. Are they at least more popular than the Rockies?

As long time (1996) las Vegas native I’ve lived here my whole life and had to route for everyone else’s teams . We finally have our own ! I watched this city explode into a huge sports town and now CHAMPIONS 🎉
That is exactly how I feel too! Growing up in vegas as a kid with no team made me lose interest in sports at a young age. But now we have the best!!!!

Watching this man play hockey is a testament to the 200ft aspect of the sport.
So dope to see an original misfit win the MVP too. And also love that they had the original 6 lift the Stanley cup after Stoner.
5 of which started the game. Such a great moment and a stand-up move by Bruce.
I know Eichel was an absolute beast for these playoffs and easily could have won it as well but it just seemed so fitting for it to go to Marchy. Of all the OG misfits he still seems like he carries the biggest chip on his shoulder and he's been dominant for the team since day 1. He's been steadily leading this team in points and goals for a while now. He absolutely deserves to retire here and get his #81 in the rafters.

Not taking anything away from mark but that hockey players in general for the most part. At least by comparison to other North American sports. Also a reason it’s the least watched though not enough “characters” like the NFL and NBA apparently. Glad to see some people still appreciate the down to earth athletes

That made me feel so much better about the cup going to a desert team. I was having a hard time with that but the fan base actually appreciates it! Thanks Pat and obviously Stoner for showing what Lord Stanley means to those that follow hockey!
I've always believed it could work in the desert. Seeing how hockey transforms people here in Edmonton is magical, so I'm always pumped to see southern fanbases experience it, especially since Vegas has been my number 2 since day 1.

As being from the Chicago area and now in Vegas. Being able to celebrate 3 with my hawks and now 1 here so far with the Vgks. You've gotta go to the end of the parade route where the rally is and the team speaks. Word of advice. Get there early.

I tried getting into hockey as a kid. Tried to be a Sharks or Leafs fan (dads from the Bay, Grandpa from Toronto) and I just never got into it. Just wasn’t a fan.
But then when Vegas got a team, the place I grew up, I gave hockey another try. I did my best to learn all the rules and history. Now hockey is one of my favorite things on the planet. The golden knights made me a hockey fan, and seeing these great guys win for the Sin City is so special.
Playoff hockey and playoff baseball are my 2 favorite sporting events to watch...

How the NHL isn't the 3rd most popular league behind the NFL & NBA is something I don't understand
Marketing is crap and some of the decisions Bettman makes aren’t smart. Like signing fanatics as the jersey manufacturers for the teams and signing a contract with ESPN who’s barely covered the NHL since the signing
Being from Vegas, it's been my favorite sport for six years now. The NFL is great, but nothing beats an in person hockey game.
It's getting there. The NHL needs to market it better. More people are coming over and converting from other sports every year.
How hockey isn't the #1 sport in the world surprises me!
I only got into hockey in 2018 when I moved back to SIN CITY during the NFL playoffs. Being introduced to hockey via VGK has made me a NHL fan above all else.
While the NFL is gradually becoming soft and boring, the NHL is still the high impact, rough, tough, fistfight, grueling through play with broken bones and dislocated appendages sport it started out as!
Personally I think the only sport to equal or possibly be tougher than NHL is rugby, said without knowing or watching the sport.
The lockouts messed the league up. Also, hockey is super expensive to play as a kid so unless your parents are diehards or you live somewhere cold the chances aren't good you'll pick it up.
I bet he never dreamed of this moment when he played in Ottawa. Congratulations my guy.

Here is the thing about the Golden Knights. They have fans from all around North America who got into hockey because they were a new team. I live in KC, which doesn't have an NHL team, so the Knights coming into the league made for an easy time. On that note, it has been a great year for me and my sports teams lol, except the Royals.
If it weren’t for them I wouldn’t have ever gotten interested in hockey.
Oh yeah. I’m from Portland, Oregon originally. Knights came around and I started going to Vegas 2-3 games a year and spending so much time down there. Became like a second home to me. I’ve moved to Australia now so unfortunately can’t go to the parade or anymore games, but I was crying tears of joy.
Stoner is the fuckin man! This guy came back off a back injury just in time to make a run for the Cup and they brought it home!

Your teammates purposefully passed you the puck so you could send it to an empty net *THREE* *TIMES* before it finally went in. You *knew* what you were doing when you were doing it. VGK was already up four with 6:40 to go. If it was just a matter of going about your business, *anyone* would have sent it down. Your mates made sure it was you doing it.

Yea other sports trophies pale in comparison to Lord Stanley’s Cup. I’m not sure if other league champions let the players have the cup for a day, but they should. Some of the stories and videos I’ve seen are pretty amazing.

Remember when the thought of Vegas having its own professional team was unthinkable? People always considered Vegas as just a 'gambling' town. But they've had folks living there for many year and they're VERY excited about not just having a team to root for but one that's now won the STANLEY CUP. They're going to have some part in Vegas on the weekend. And the Golden Knights will always be an original Vegas-based team and that's what counts the most.

The Golden Knights and Stoner are such good stories. It's great for the sport, great for the fans and the team and the players. When they got to the finals in year 1 I wasn't ready for them to win it, and I thought the Capitals were due. But this year they were the ones who deserved it.
