I will take Gretzky, Bure and Matthews. Those guys were/are not relying on someone putting a pass into their wheelhouse. Ovi and Hull are pretty similar, big clapper from the backdoor and not much of an idea who the guys on their team that play defense are.

The refs literally will let the players fight it out until one of them hits the ice because they’re letting them “get it all out.” And it’s safer to approach them once one of them is on the ice. 8. Center ice brawls between each teams goalie. 9. Lord Stanley’s Cup is the greatest trophy in all of sports. 10. Playoff beards and players playing with unbelievable injuries in the playoffs such as a broken sternum to the point where they have to be helped getting dressed. Honorable mention: The custom paint jobs on the Goalie helmets. **another note worthy fact** When asked about fighting in the sport, the NHL commissioner said that fighting acts as a thermostat in that it allows players to take their frustration out on each other in a way that prevents more dangerous options. He is saying fighting is safer than what would otherwise happen. That’s awesome!
You want to see a hard hockey player? look up Gilchrist. He played through a groin injury, in which he had to get needles in his groin every period down the hall, his fellow red wings could hear him screaming 5 locker rooms away. And he played until the meat / muscle seperated from bone in his groin mid play. Thats a hard man.

When I was a kid, we would use those little plastic sticks to play indoor... floor hockey I guess it would be called. We'd made a ball out of hockey tape and use laundry baskets for nets and play on carpet. WE got pretty crazy with it😂 You could really shoot that tape ball hard, it hurt. Hard to believe that was 30 years ago already
Hockey always been fun to watch and holds a lot of talent but it’s expensive. I’ve always wondered why, but I can say the cost of hockey creates barriers for lower-income communities. That being said the sport is slept on!

Haha, the further you get from the NHL the closer it gets to MMA. My understanding is ECHL games can turn into absolute bloodbaths. Like wrestling in a gym for 80 people and cutting your face open with a piece of glass level stuff.

I remember watching an oilers and stars playoff game where a player was crosschecked in the mouth and lost several teeth. He got his gums stitched up on the bench so he wouldn't miss a shift. Some of the toughest men on the planet, and yes, GO BRUINS!

Gretzky is more than 1,000 points all time above the next guy and 2nd was his teammate. Crosby being top 3 of all time is questionable at best and more of a recency bias.

My daughter had season tickets on the glass for the Cyclones and loved it. She's since moved to NC.
