    they looked amazed how big the malls in the Philippines. here in US too some of malls are not as big as sm. SM is like 20x bigger than mall in US

    Ayala Mall is generally considered more upmarket than the SM malls , which are favored by the average Filipino , I love the terraces at Ayala at night , it has a nice atmosphere . You guys are good ambassadors there for the UK , as you are both very polite and respectful , so well done for that .

    It was an exaggeration what the cab driver said. There is a written and practical exam to get a driver's licence in the Philippines. You don't just buy it. Don't just believe what people say especially if there's no proof to it.

      Norsky Mac It's true, I spent a whole day to get my temporary liscense and 2 years to get my actual id while those who have fixers got theirs for just almost an hour. They just went in, pay, sit and wait for the liscense and leave. No exams like most people take. It's unfair, and it happens a lot especially if you have the money to do so. That's why there are lots of dumb drivers that does not even know traffic rules

    Just wanted to correct you guys. Getting a driver’s license here in the PH requires an examination and actual drive test. We also have speed limits and disciplined drivers do follow the speed limits and road rules. Please don’t believe everything that public utility vehicle drivers say to you, as they are notorious in violating road rules. There is an existing system here and the problem we have actually are “some”’undisciplined drivers.

    I’m impressed you guys walked through those 3 malls in one day. Takes me half a day for 1 of them lol. Seaside is new and quiet compared to any other mall in the Philippines I think. Ayala is my favourite. Did you find Marks and Sparks when you walked around? Also at the south west corner of the garden courtyard on the 3rd floor if you walk past Burger King then turn left out the doors you will find another outside food area where most of the expats eat and drink. If you want to shop where the locals shops Metro Colon and Super Metro on Colon Street is really great. It is very busy so be careful of pick pockets and don’t go at night. They really do have great deals so it’s worth it to go. Just don’t try to buy expensive electronics because they are probably fakes.

      I believe inside the mall is allowed, but inside SM's department store's and cinema's is forbidden some snapshots maybe is ok, boutique's and shop's maybe, but it depends on their rules and regulations.

    • @iamwisdomsky
      @iamwisdomsky 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@FrancisRey96 I don't think there are any SM regulation about prohibiting filming inside the department store for the same fact that people actually take photos of the dress/shirts/pants/etc. For boutiques that leased a dedicated space inside the mall, I think it varies. But in general, inside the department store, there is basically no privacy and so it doesn't make sense prohibiting filming inside.
      For Cinema's too, it's very obvious. The Anti-Camcording Law is always played before each movie starts.

    I Had to get a driver's license In Dumaguete when I bought My Jeep there 7 years ago and I had to write the drivers test just like we do in Canada. and I almost failed it. because part of the test is when do you use the horn. The answer was, Every time you pass someone when you pass an intersection. and to let people know you are behind them. I think there were more but I forget now hahaha. I Have some pictures. I will do a Quick short Video on it for you :-) Bohemian Rhapsody Is an amazing move of Freddy Mercury Life and How Queen got started. :-) a MUST SEE. very cool move :-)

      Hi Dawson, as of I know, there no defined test for getting your driver's license here in the Philippines, although it might seem to be different. From my experience it always depends on the officer, so just stay kind + open even if the process seems like a huge maize. I was already asked if the air-con of my car is working in oder to get the renewal of my car registration;-)

Really hope this system changes because reckless drivers are everywhere because of this and it's not even exclusive to just motorcycle riders.

    Nice! Great video, I live in the Philippines (Manila) and have never been to Cebu. This gave me a good feel of what Cebu would be when I visit with my wife. Keep up the awesome travel videos! About the driving license bit: there is a written test and a practical test from where I am but I guess it's different regionally. It's too easy though and nothing too technical, not like the stuff you mentioned about getting a license in the UK.
