I went to the Philippines in 2018 and what surprised me the most is how modern the Philippines is. The way the media portrays the Philippines is that it's still a developing country.
In Metro Manila yes its very Modern outside metro manila not so much. Very few Cities outside Metro Manila are highly urbanized such as Cebu City, Mandaue City and Davao City
7 cities from Metro Manila or the National Capital Region are in the Top 10 richest Cities in the Philippines the other 3 are Cebu City , Mandaue City which is in the islands of Visayas and Davao City City in the island of Mindanao
I recommend you go to Palawan.. If you are a nature lover, BGC, Megamall, Mall of Asia, to many to visit just watch a blogger in Philippines for you to have an idea . And don't give me chance to see you cause I'm goin to marry you.
If you ever come to the philippines, the safest places is Makati, Mall of asia district, Ayala, District, Alabang District mainly in places by the south if possible dont head to the North part of Manila, Places with names like Calooca, Tondo and Navotas... I'm a local I know it's not exactly safe for tourists,

If you love shopping malls then Philippines is the best place for you. One week is not enough if you want to visit all the major malls in Manila. The biggest are SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, Festival Mall, Glorietta, Trinoma, SM Aura, Market Market, SM South Mall, Greenbelt, etc
The problem is BBC, CNN, and other networks only usually feature the depressed/slum areas and the other not so good news about the Philippines. It has recently been named a tiger economy in Asia and is continuously progressing but international media usually only shows the negatives.

Last year, My husband and I were visited in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and for us just to see the "Mall Of Asia" and for him, to see around the City itself and also some historical places and we are both delighted that as myself born in the Philippines for almost 18 years never back then, and that's why back In 2019, and we went there to see for ourselves and we have a wonderful vacation as well as our family in the Philippines. We Are Blessed to have those memories and we always appreciate that time together with our family. Hopefully, we could go back there someday.
For foreigners, whatever you have in your country, filipinos can offer much more.Say, we are too hospitable.We treated our visitors special and many more.

In the Philippines, the mall has everything. If you want to eat, if you want to buy your groceries, if you want to buy your clothes and shoes, if you want to go to an arcade, if you want to be air-conditioned coz it's hot, if you want to take pictures for your Instagram or even if you just want to chill, JUST GO THERE. Some countries doesn't have that type of mall.

There maybe restaurants but not on the same building as the clothing store...it's like a separate building for the clothing store and a separate building for the restaurants....:))
Forget the typical malls. Go to the business districts like BGC, specifically around Bonifacio High Street. They're you'll see plenty of people outside walking around, going into all the restaurants and shops. It's a very vibrant part of Manila.

I was in the Philippines at this time visiting family, came back home (England) just as Covid was starting to spread, just a few days before going home I remember being on a beautiful tiny island when we were island hopping for the day and hearing there were a few cases in the Philippines.

SM MOA is only the 4th largest mall in the Philippines. The biggest is the SM North EDSA followed by SM Mega mall and SM city Cebu... and that 4 malls are included to the top 15 biggest malls in the world
I was smiling the whole time while watching this video. Glad you liked it in the Philippines, currently in MN, USA and we have awful winter weather here so seeing videos/vlogs from other people in the philippines kind of makes me feel like Im back home, enjoying the whole-year round summer! We went back from a visit just a week ago and brought my brother in law, my sister who was never been back home for 13years and their two kids. It was only two weeks worth of visit, it was pretty short! My niece and nephew didn’t really like the heat since they were born in a cold weathered country same goes with my brother in law, kind of disappointing but hey everyone have their own opinion. Which is why it makes me happy to see that other foreigners are enjoying their visit in my homeland!

Well done guys, I was there in Mall of Asia late February 2017, I'd be back there now if it weren't for the shocking drought here in Oz now. I spent two days in MOA and didn't cover everything. I did go on the Ferris wheel, it was fantastic and gives a great view of the surrounds.

I was in the Philippines at this time visiting family, came back home (England) just as Covid was starting to spread, just a few days before going home I remember being on a beautiful tiny island when we were island hopping for the day and hearing there were a few cases in the Philippines.

I was smiling the whole time while watching this video. Glad you liked it in the Philippines, currently in MN, USA and we have awful winter weather here so seeing videos/vlogs from other people in the philippines kind of makes me feel like Im back home, enjoying the whole-year round summer! We went back from a visit just a week ago and brought my brother in law, my sister who was never been back home for 13years and their two kids. It was only two weeks worth of visit, it was pretty short! My niece and nephew didn’t really like the heat since they were born in a cold weathered country same goes with my brother in law, kind of disappointing but hey everyone have their own opinion. Which is why it makes me happy to see that other foreigners are enjoying their visit in my homeland!

Well done guys, I was there in Mall of Asia late February 2017, I'd be back there now if it weren't for the shocking drought here in Oz now. I spent two days in MOA and didn't cover everything. I did go on the Ferris wheel, it was fantastic and gives a great view of the surrounds.
