I wish I watched your video before started my repair. The one I watched had me take the front shell and that's where troubles began due to rust it was a real pain to get it reinstalled..
I replaced the unit and am still getting drips on the cold side, though less frequent. All the hoses are a good hand tight and not leaking. Leak is on the inside, behind tub. It has destroyed the floor. #baffled. BTW mine is older and came apart somewhat differently.
Yeah, seriously, getting the back of was the most confusing part. Why did you skip it? I had to look at another person’s TH-cam to figure it. So you insert a flat head screwdriver in the hole where the bras colored springs are on each side. Pry the spring up and out. Then remove the lug screws at the two bottom corners. Lift the cover up and away. There was no need to remove the drain hose. It’s not in the way. Getting the back cover back on took a lot work to get those bottom screws lined up.
Amana, the worst piece of shit machine I ever bought. There is always something not working since I bought this piece of junk. This video also shows how filthy washing machines really are.
Why did you disconnect the water supply hoses at the wall?
That's what I was wondering.

Are you sure it's not a leaking supply hose?
What if the parts you ordered don’t match up
Some times the harness has a different plug end. There are adapters that are available or you can just put the old parts wrong harness on the new one.
You don't need disconet.
The hose water from the wall.
Is better from the washer.
Take out the cabinet. Is more fast.
What if you ordered the right part and it’s still not letting hot water in
Then you got a cheap Chinese part .
It's a GREEN NEW DEAL COMPLIANT PART! The old parts went the way of incandescent light bulbs.
How did you get the back off....you skipped that part

Dude sure does like gloves..
Why would you wear heavy duty leather gloves to demonstrate something like that it really gets in the way Of the process
The sheet metal can have sharp edges. If he didn't wear gloves and someone cut themselves they'd be in the comment section blaming him.
I bet this guy
