Great video. I had the same problem and found on repair comment board that it may be as simple as a disconnected water inlet tube. Take off the top with the two back screws and check the small hose connected to the bottom of the round water inlet sensor. Mine was at the front right and sure enough, hanging loose. I reconnected it and everything's fine.

Good video. Some washers do not have the screws in the back. You should show the alternative method to opening the cabinet (via putty knife). Nice video though!

My Roper Washing machine cycles back and forth between hot and cold water (1-2 minutes each) during the fill cycle when the "HOT" water setting is chosen. The result is the water in the filled tub is lukewarm at best. Does anybody know if there is a part or parts that determines the length of these cycles? I'd like to make the hot water come out longer and/or the cold come out shorter to result in true HOT water when the tub is filled. A capacitor maybe?

My Whirlpool Imperial Series top load washer is dispensing hot water when it is not supposed to. It does it when it is in agitate mode and when it is set on cold water. Does this sound like the water inlet valve?

When the inlet valve is bad the water keeps filling even when you turn off the washer and even when you unplug the washer from electricity. Happened to me.....eeek....and I couldn't get the water faucets to turn off. Happy Days...!
