i see ebay sells a few of these valves PREOWNED… i believe they are guarantee….ussually this valves stops operatening on the cold water , so if u need to use it while replaceable valve arrives …..i use the hot water so that side of the valve usually works….good luck

Thx to your VIDEO here, I'm close to completing the replacement of my defective water inlet valve (WIV) on my old Mytag ... I just need a few more tips please ...
I've just replaced the old WIV with the new one ... BTW, my unit looks to be virtually identical to the washer here in your video ... here's the big question ...
Does it matter which of the wires are attached to the celluloid prongs? One has a white plastic casing and the other is red ... does it matter which prong the red one is attached to?
Also, just as shown here in your video, there are also two smaller wires that must be re-attached to prongs on the neck of the WIV ... does it matter here also?
Is there a way to re-attach the wires incorrectly? ... if so, could I damage the machine?
Your thoughts please, thx much, Doug

My washer is not made this way
It is a newer washer. Seems like they change every 6 months. Why not a book on how to service with every new machine.
