I had this problem and the video helped me fix the issue, but it was frustrating that nobody appeared to know why it was happening. Then a week or so later the laptop failed to start again.... I fixed it, but later that day it happened yet again. I thought that regularly taking off the back and loosening the battery was a bit too invasive to become a standard strategy. So, as part of my routine to understand what was happening, I revisited the charging limits I had recently set up after a recommendation to "protect the battery". I had set a top limit of 90% charge and a bottom limit of 20%. I removed these limits, so the battery charges all the way to 100% unless the AC is removed. I had no further lock-ups. So, having no charging lmits may not be so good for battery health..... but after over a month, I've had no further lock-ups. This may be a coincidence, but if you're having the problem described here, it has to be worth a try!
Further to my comment below, I have had no further incidences of this issue since removing the charging limits. So the issue seems to be middleware-related and should be fixable by Lenovo, if they were interested.
Hello brother, I have the same laptop, T480s, but after I open the battery and put it back, it refuse to load Home Screen the laptop can’t complete booting, the error message now is 1802 (
Please take out the ram and hard disk Clean the ram with a dry and clean piece of cloth and fix them back in. Make sure they fit properly in their slots. If problem persists, disconnect the cmos battery and fix it back. Try that and get back to me
