    Everyone is so set on watts and Ohms. But they forget the driving force. Amps and volts.

    I've run quite a bit of stetsom on some "smaller to medium" builds, several of them actually. Ran Stetsom myself for a year, nothing but abuse, never once had a problem. Stetsom is used by Alan Dante. I would recommend from personal use, and from also seeing them perform well in the wildly variable usage range from different users. Solid for me so far, as well as Taramps.
    I'm subbing, I know damn well this channel will learn me something! 😂
    That said I swapped it out for class a/b and class d, and am happy with the Korean amps.

      Stetsom bravo 8k is the new wave for a true Brazilian bass amp. I think it does rated at 30hz and is not for mids and highs unlike most Brazilian amps excluding the bass additions. That would be in my opinion close in comparison with Brazilian and Korean.

    Awesome video. Even with the noise I still heard you and there was funny moments in a serious video. But fr this video very helpful cause I went with a soundigital 12k. After I watched Steve mead test it on his bench. He put so much juice thru it that it would make the wires jump. Crazy crazy power for a full bridge amp.

    6:08 😆 because they put out more at lower hz. I know you don't like stetsom but the bravo 8k is the new wave for Brazilian's full range answer to American bass .

    I have a Deaf Bonce 7900.1 and I'm certainly not upset with going with it. Now it is the 1st time I've ever went FB design. I've always preferred Korean but I'm like Jerry and been a basshead since the mid 90's. I also snagged a China made sundown Sfb5000 for half price off a guy that ran it for 2 months and then went to a salt 4k. I have yet to power it on. I just got it yesterday. 👍 Plan on messing with it this weekend.

    You can pretty much do anything at bridge amp. Vblock, fixed rbb and a lot of pathing variations works for bridge. I usually float my AAs individually if I find the right spots.

    I actually had a comment conversation with barevids about the dirty terminology. It's just a saying based the difference between the two designs at reccomended hz. With that being said there are plenty of American amp repair specialists that support the term dirty power when pertaining to the full bridge design. It is understood the test applications of Brazilian amps with THD, efficiency, and etc., but the one thing these dynos don't show is real world. Any Brazilian can function at 15hz, but can it at any given time produce rated power at the range? Or will it be as efficient as the Korean boards (half bridge) at that same hz? Answer is no! There just not designed to hence the specs indicate 80hz for most of these amps. Despite what you call it whether dirty, clean, or whatever there's night and day difference in the performance of the designs. Understanding the the amps i completely agree. If you running Brazilian take in consideration the loss in power on lower hz and go bigger to accommodate this loss on subs. Mids my opinion Brazilian is the no brainer. Highs I'd say AB design is the cleanest over Brazilian. Brazilian amps are great all around amps, but not best at any one thing hence the reason to be acclimated in any car audio environment. The so called dirty signal most people wont even notice it so it'll never be a significant game changer, but for the one tbzt that do, well we tend to lean Korean for subs. And barevid didn't tell me that! Just experience out here in the real world away from the computer trusting my natural senses. Apologize for the long comment Jerry, but just my 2 cents bro. I enjoy your videos and bass on. AND OH FORGOT TO MENTION I CHECKED THE DB DRAG RECORDS FOR THE PAST 5YRS AND DIDN'T SEE TARAM🤔

      I have six smart fives I just plugged both in they r the same even if one says in and out, they r both the same internally I have a cock box now and I just run single rca into each and adjust gain for voltage drop without issue

    • @2015GTPP

      just plug the one rca into the input and leave the extra tucked away somewhere with electrical tape covering the contacts. theres no reason to use a y splitter, the rcas off the headunit are paralleled internally so you dont lose any input voltage when using only one rca. i have a smart 5.

    Yeah they don't know much in them groups, like you having your amps strapped is technically full bridge, Full bridge works the same exact way as two half bridge amps, full bridge arent power hungry they only use half the rail voltage split between positive and negative speaker terminals which basically just two amps one running each terminal one push and the other pull, on taramps the crossover are very sensitive and have a steep roll off and limit the lows going active with crossover off on the amp and use a dsp or crossover on the deck the lows will wake up because the fact the amp is only amplifying the signal and not modifying it any, and your right smart amps are killing the game and what I love about them they dumb proof as in they wont allow you to clip when you clip they will turn down the gain internally along with helping with impedance rise the smart 5 1 ohm model puts out more at 2ohms (6k) than 1ohm(5k) to get more power when you rise at 86% efficiency and at 12v now that's impressive

      @RAW_Reality 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1-Six-dee Ohm load is just that, Ohm load. Once it's connected, it's a static amount. That said, you don't even need frequency to check it, so yes, it'll stay the same. However, you can put your finger on a speaker and that weight alone will likely change its Ohm Load, because you're physically changing the speaker's amount of resistance. Now, with checking wattage going to your speakers, yes, the measurement readings will change based off of both volume and frequency used (which, IMHO, is why using "industry standards" are a good idea to keep dummies from messing something up, but aren't technically a "one-size-fits-all" truth).

    • @1-Six-dee
      @1-Six-dee 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RAW_Reality I understand my static ohm load, at 26 hz at full volume I am at 1.1 ohms per sub, this is when I clamp it, does each frequency have a different ohm load and is it repeatable if it is at 2k watts or 8k watts

    • @RAW_Reality
      @RAW_Reality 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1-Six-dee Ohm load (resistance) is mostly effected by heat, pressure, and length, much like garden hose is. You can add pressure to a hose by kinking it, and your flow will change. You can add length to your hose and it'll take more time and effort. You can change the temperature of the material going through your hose and it'll gain or lose viscosity and thereby flow rate. Since your electrical is a stagnant length, you're not adding any pressure, and it'd take an extreme amount of wattage to generate heat in your wiring, IF your ohm load changed it certainly wouldn't be by an amount worth worrying about. Frequency changes nothing in that regard.

      i don't see that there'd be a change,, but wired at .5 on a 1 ohm amp you'd gain

      @@JerryAintloud yeah I understand that I just meant Taramps mainly. Like they have an Hd3000 2 ohm or an HD 3000 1 ohm. I always wondered which is better if there was a difference?

    • @RAW_Reality

      @@LowetheTechGuy The amp's namesake is addressing the intended use of said amp. If you want to wire to .5, you'd want the 1ohm amp (as it's intended to be used at a lower load than the 2ohm model). I'm not particularly saying that you _should_ run an amp below its rating, but that's what Taramps are hoping to get across with their branding of model names in this scenario. Alternatively, if you ran the same .5 load on the 2ohm model, you'd be much more likely to do damage to the amps/subs, running them well out of spec.

    Went from jp23 to taramps smart 5k. Jp23 definitely has better sound quality. I like both Amps a lot. I think I need a dsp for my taramps. I am definitely a fan of both amps. Price for power can’t really beat the smart 5k.

      @@djkeys415s I needed more power. I upgraded from my 10 year old 15” American bass xfl to a 15” avatar stu. The jp23 couldn’t really push the avatar much. It sounded good but not much louder than my American bass. Taramps though has insane power. I’ll get a dsp later on.

    You do realize you have one big full bridge amp set up! I had to stop watching the video, when someone starts to claim how much they know I realize they don’t know. You strapping those 2/2 bridge amps make it a full bridge! You guys have no idea how electronics actually function. All you understand is it goes boom boom boom boom

    Full bridge are actually more efficient an been around jus as long...jus bc Brazil came up with a cheaper design with the same power but can't take any abuse ppl think they suck an prone to blowing 🤦‍♂️
