Canada and Mexico are the only two nations we share a border with. And Canada only shares the border with us and Mexico only shares a small border with Guatemala and Belize. Meanwhile pick a country in Europe and it’s going to share some borders. Also those countries are the size of states. So the same amount of travel distance here can be many countries in Europe. How many people travel to Florida for vacation from northern states and drive it? That’s 1000-1400-1500 miles. That would be like driving from Denmark to the southern tip of Italy where you would cross through 4 countries. Second is economic and cultural. For most current living Americans, while they have been alive, America has been a cultural and economic leader of the world. Also many have never traveled to another country. They don’t need to or they can’t afford to. Can’t drive to Europe. Finally, with such a diverse population in the US, people from all over the world, a teaching standard has been difficult to maintain. The American education system is very broken. The fact that in one city you can have very good schools within miles of very poor schools, the education many receive is not the same. Add in social pressures of different groups and their expectations… you get a wildly different educated population.

Warranty works differently internationally, and you need minor changes to stop unsupported imports from getting warranty cover. Also parts can be slightly different, and many brands offer smaller selections to smaller markets.
Yea, it's trippy they do this. Like Packout in the uk is black with red locks instead of USA red box with black locks. (Tops/lids on both are still solid black.) Side note. If you ever use a Milwaukee battery with an adapter on a different tool brand, and you screwed up and let it run completely dry and now it won't charge, (the tool reads level and stops complete drainage of batteries. So the electronics in the batteries work and identify the battery type so the charger knows what voltage to use, ie regular vs high capacity batt) then get yourself a cheap fake charger. No electronic check, and it just charges at the min level. After a minute or two, it will charge enough for a real Milwaukee charger will read the battery and charger it like normal. You're welcome.
Yeah every other tool brand runs the battery safety in the battery it's probably the single shitless thing about milwaukee. Don't get me wrong their tools are great. Use them in the workshop but tbh I prefer my ryobi stuff because I can build my own tools and not worry about the battery

Those same manufacturers sell the same thing(perhaps very slightly lesser quality) to other companies who rebrand them. Why do you think so many things look similar to eachother? It definitely isn't because these companies are trying to keep things uniform and wanting u to switch to other brands easier(Apple). It's because it's significantly cheaper to get your high quality product from a "mega manufacturer" who has the tools and assembly machines to mass produce them quickly, easily, and cheaply.

Yeah I bought a few fake M12 6.0's and they weren't like openly fake they had like poorly made stickers and they just won't charge like a real battery does
@R.G. Brown funny enough, I also bought a fake 6.0 and had the same issue, I just use it on the fan and charge it a bunch. Now I also bought a fake 4.0 from a different "brand" and its only 10-15% less charge/power than a Milwaukee branded one. I got lucky as they're just using recycled battery cells, so basically it's a gamble. Always keep these knockoffs in a safe place like a metal toolbox or ammo box and never leave them on the charger unattended, I do not trust them and they can burn your garage/house down.
In Germany Stanley has an interlocking tool storage system and it fits perfectly with the American DeWalt Tstak. Why? Cause it is. Friendly reminder that there's only a few major brands that remarket themselves all over the world. Oh and I'm American by the way I promise we're not all dumb 😂😂🤙

As a US citizen , I'm sorry on behalf of our failing education system. Ask them about Logan Paul or Island Boys they know everything about them. Ask them what continent is Australia on, and they have usually no idea. Most don't even understand that there are different measurement scales outside the US.
I've always loved how they are marked better, easier to read when you trying to grab a battery quick, I wish they would use same for U.S. also, the black packouts are cool looking too, but I am sure heat up too much in the sun
I'm an American so I'm going to lay it out just like we like to do. Open one up and regardless of the label it will either have a battery made in South Korea what battery made in China. There's no way from the label or from the seller you can tell which one it is. Having said that, I tend to doubt that Milwaukee uses Chinese cells in any of their products. But like I said, you can't know unless you open it up, which is super easy to do and I would love to see you do because now I'm curious.
As a resident of maine ... separate from the rest of the US especially Florida and California. A tool is a tool if it does the job you need it to. If it makes your life easier or does the job it's supposed to who cares if it is fake if it works

I have a fake Milwaukee battery I bought because I was team Mustard and only had one ketchup tool. Now I have several actual M12 & M18 batteries to go with my several ketchup tools. Doesn’t compare to my 30+ mustard tools and probably same amount of batteries 😅

I've seen guys with knock off Milwaukee batteries, they looked like shit. Those definitely look off at first glance to us from the states, but imo it looked legit when I seen the bottom of the battery
