After replacing all the lights in front of the lowered Tahoe z71 we needed to do something in the back. Today we do just that. We upgraded the reverse lights, taillights and license plate lights. It is definitely a much needed upgrade. I love the new look and improved lighting at night. I think these are the best taillights I have seen for a tahoe or yukon.

I had these on my 01 tahoe. Really bright at night, so I did one coat of VHT and clear coat. Has lasted about 5 years now and a cool custom look.

Looks great, I did the same to my Tahoe and it completely updates the look. If you don’t like fooling with resistors you could always replace the factory flasher module with an led module. Anyway great video as usual 👍🏾

Tahoe looks great! I would use some dielectric grease, those plugs are notorious for burning up. Love the content and different projects going on!

I'm not done watching, but I would recommend putting those resistors to the metal of the truck, they tend to get really hot (over 150°f) and might melt your tailight housing!
I may have to go back and do that
Or just buy a simple LED flasher relay from parts store. Don’t have to worry about those resistors, or them over heating.

Those Philips led reverse light bulbs are an excellent upgrade. Not ultra bright but it looks oem+ for that ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Just ordered the reverse led bulbs and have a set of taillights that look kinda like yours. Made by Spyder. Got them in smoked red. Thinking that will look good with dark gray. Thanks for these videos!

Great video, inspired me to install exactly what you did headlights and tail lights. When you installed the taillights did your cruise control quit working when you turned on your lamps. In the daylight my cruise works not so much at night. Thanks

I love the way the tahoe is turning out 👍🏼 What’s your opinion on doing a escalade conversion to the truck? Roof rack, vent caps and third brake light. I have a 2004 z71 suburban and I’ve done the Escalade conversion and a hd hood up front and I’m lowering it in 2 weeks.

You can always go back and spray the tails with some VHT Nite-Shades or similar to tint them. Looks good!

hey man! don’t know if you ever seen it before but i have a white tahoe as well and you can get the rear pillar trim (trim on left and right of rear windshield) from an escalade and it makes these tahoe’s looks so much cleaner. especially if you were come across a white one

Travis this looks great! Back in the analog days, I liked an amber turn signal, still do really, just making the turn signal a different color makes it more idiot proof out on the road IMHO, the LEDs are certainly bright enough though! Yes! I clean and wax behind the lights when I pull them! As well as the door and trunk/hood jams. Hey so, maybe you could pick up some of those cheesy bullet hole stickers for the tailgate until you get it fixed? :)
P.S. Nice front bumper cover on your Vette, makes it look almost like an SS! :)

Good video. I think the tail lights match the 3rd brake light and it all pops. Unless you're going to smoke the 3rd brake light, i'd leave it as is.

I just purchased some for my 03 Yukon but for some reason once I installed them brake and emergency work perfect but the left and right turn blink fast and then it pops the fuses out on the driver side fuse box LT/TURN & RT/TURN. Would you recommend going with maybe a higher fuse than 10 since the new LED’s are 27W unlike the OEM that is only 7W
No. Some other issue. Don't go up in fuse size.

Smh. I just bought the smoked out version of your lights.. Was wondering where those plug-ins went... I done tucked them in the lights and put the factory bolbs in smh thanks man i will be re doin it tomorrow..hopefully i didnt pinch or burn the wires out ..thanks man this video was very helpful. P.s it was dark when i installed them and it was starting to rain.. Wish me luck hopefully i didn't ruin my new tail lights!! Hahaha (we live we learn)

Wish there were aftermarket tails for 93-02 TAs. Least the honeycombs looks aftermarket while its actually a oem vinyl. Would love nice clear combs on my TA too
