Finally someone who explained everything easy to understand and straight to the point. Thank you for showing us how is done step by step, because of you i put my first digital download on Etsy. 😊
welcome! your success lies in NUMBERS...just keep banging out ideas and listing those "seeds" into the ground so they can grow. you never know which one is going to be a winner or not so "just keep swimming" ;)
Perfect delivery. You taught exactly what you said you were going to teach and fast. Not to fast I understood everything perfectly. Ty for the simplicity
thanks! the desk was the nicest cheap one i could get lol and man does it scratch and chip easily but i guess i got what i paid for and it serves it purpose for now =)
what if I want to list a digital piece that has many different variations, color, font, etc.? Does a separate listing need to be made for each one or can I make one listing with multiple different downloads?
yes there are a few other template based platforms out there, canva is super well known, free and easy to use BUT regardless most likely theyll to create an acct to edit a template no matter which one you choose.
I mean you can always put those, it's never a bad thing to have from a legal standpoint, but you probably don't have a time of resources to police and see unless you have a huge winning product that might stand out if somebody did try to re-share/sell.
Yes, those are called printables, things like coloring sheets and other kids type of stuff are typical, but the sky is the limit with creativity for all ages and concepts!
When the customer buys the product do they receive an email and thats how they get access to the link? I have done everything but not sure how that part happens
I’m trying to learn how to do those Etsy digital baby announcements like the once that showed starting at 1:20, does anyone know? I been searching and trying everywhere how to make the layout like that and for the life of me I can’t figure it out, please does anyone know? Please don’t gatekeep I really just want to Learn😭😭
I just purchased an Esty digital file, JPG that I downloaded, it was not a zip file...It is 6000 x 4000 Pixels, 72 resolution and 67 MB. What I don't understand is how is that possible when I try to upload a 47 MB image Etsy won't allow me and a message pops up that says only 25 MB max is allowed. Can someone please help?
i dont understand, you bought a pic off etsy and now trying to reupload it? more info needed. otherwise import to canva and then save as jpg or png with lower resolution to reduce the file size. thanks
I’m under the impression digital products are not allowed on fbmp...has that changed? How do you upload a pdf file product so after buyer makes their purchase they automatically get their digital file? Thank you for a great video.
@@cynthiamerryman That's an interesting approach but when a person makes a purchase on fbmp no email address is given sellers and they would be expecting the item shipped. How would an email auto responder then work here? Are you suggesting making it a local pickup listing only then and you would ask buyer in messages for their email address? It could work that way but very limited exposure to whatever zip location your listings overall are set to since fb now requires location to be set and displayed for sellers. You can change location zip code but it will change location for all listings now not just the one you want it on. If I have your idea all wrong please, please correct me and add any other helpful details to make this work. I love the idea. Thanks for your reply Cynthia...very helpful.
I'm literally sobbing right now, it has been 2 hours , and I'm searching for: how to download a PDF file to ETSY and whatever I do , it doesn't work, a message shows that says: your file must contain letters and other stuffs, I gave up .
@@brandonkyleonline it was coming from Etsy I created the thank you note with the link and everything and I downloaded it as a PDF file and when I go to "upload file" , I click on it, I select my file and It doesn't work , that message shows up
99% of this video was great. Very informative and to the point 👍🏼 However, I do believe you advocated for your viewers to commit plagiarism. By copying an existing (free or paid) design on one platform and then placing it for sale on another may be illegal. I think using the existing designs for inspiration to create an original design is great. Flat-out copying a design and selling it as your own, at the very least, seems a bit sleazy. Other than that great info.
I haven't watched this video since I created it, but from memory I'm pretty confident I didn't saw anywhere to take a template as is and to use it. This is definitely more of an overview on how one could create or use templates that already exist on Canva as a source of inspiration to create their own. I'm pretty sure it's against the terms of service anyways of Canva to take a template at face value and use it for resale as a digital download, I think that's something I might have mentioned as well however if that was left out I might be surprised, in not so many words… however at the end of the day this is a good overview on how to get the wheels turning or use something as a base to improve upon and add their own personal tweaks to make it their own.
Similar feelings, some good info but also pushing a knock off/hurried vibe which is not the vibe the best sellers on Etsy are providing...... And that's best sellers, not bestsellers... Not necessarily one and the same, in my not so humble opinion lol 🌞x
@@brandonkyleonline you’re also not allowed to use any Canva templates as a base to create your product on like what you are showing. I’ve checked with Canva before, and every now and then I check with them again in case they loosen up on their rules. You can use their templates for business as long as you’re not selling them as (any type of) actual products. I personally think it sucks because you can create things that are completely different to the original template that you can’t even tell that it’s based off of it! But that’s the way it is.
@@coffeebreak100 lol I've seen sellers use the templates and changing it just a bit.... you're being too obedient. Nobody will know. How would they know?
Could be a variety of reasons, time is money and sometimes it's easier just to spend a buck or two on something that's done instead of having to spend the 10, 20 or 30 minutes to create something. Other people just like creativity and even though Canva is free it's just not their forte...

Thank you for your video and guidance! I just posted my first digital product on Etsy.
That's great! Just gotta keep creating and posting because you never know which one's gonna be a big winner!
Thats not the number of sales that is the number of reviews of the entire store selling the item.
This was great thank you so much and by the way your desk is beautiful.

Were you able to figure it out? I’ve been having a hard time 🥺
Absolutely fantastic ideas, thank you so much you've opened up a new world for me!!

If they share the coupon code does it take them to your website to purchase or to Canva templates
The coupon would only apply to the purchase via Etsy.
Hi! Every time I try to share a Canva design as a template, it flips it on the side. How do I fix that?
Thank you. I was going not do my digitals but Im going to know. Thank you
This is amazing! Thank you so much.
Thank u very much, never knew how they get to a file! Are there other sites and ways to make a file link for ur customer besides canva?
yes there are a few other template based platforms out there, canva is super well known, free and easy to use BUT regardless most likely theyll to create an acct to edit a template no matter which one you choose.
Would you use this same process to list a set of digital paper? Just make a pdf with all the links to the digital papers?
Canva prohibits the use of templates “as is” for selling on Etsy. You would have to start from scratch and create an original template by yourself.
Great sharing
What about disclaimers about copyright, selling etc.
I mean you can always put those, it's never a bad thing to have from a legal standpoint, but you probably don't have a time of resources to police and see unless you have a huge winning product that might stand out if somebody did try to re-share/sell.
Thank you so much for this valuable tutorial. But how to include coupon amount in the Shop so the buyer can get it automatically after purchasing
its an option you can enable when creating the coupon on etsy...shopify has a similar thing in the checkout settings
@@brandonkyleonline oh thank you for the prompt replay 🙂👌
Hi! If I am using a public domain photo on Etsy, do you know what i answer on the question: Who made it?
How do you give the benefit of 10% discount coupon on Etsy?
In the back end of your account you will see a area where you can create coupons.
@@brandonkyleonline Ok Thank you
My link keeps making a Zip file. How do I change it? Canva is turning it into a zip
"Shared a link to use as template" doesn't need to pro account? Free account also can do so?
yeah it works fine sharing items from pro with someone who doesnt have a pro account.
That’s a really good question! Thanks I needed this
Does this apply to making a digital download say for sheets of paper they would print off? Im wanting to make double sure before I mess up lol thanks
Yes, those are called printables, things like coloring sheets and other kids type of stuff are typical, but the sky is the limit with creativity for all ages and concepts!
Ok thanks!!
Can we use elements canva pro for the products or we must use element free?
hi yes, pro items in your digital product will still be editable by someone with a free acct. thanks
Oh thankyou for the reply 🙏
So what do you use to give the returning customer the discount?? Are they suppose to have a Coupon code or something?? Thanks
yes, its outlined in the video already when/ how you send the digital file to them.
When the customer buys the product do they receive an email and thats how they get access to the link? I have done everything but not sure how that part happens
start making your etsy listing, it will have an area for a file upload for your digital product. "set it and forget it!"

Can't they send the pdf to their friends and family
Yes, but dishonest people are dishonest people, focus on moving forward and making sales, dont worry about the limited few you might lose to piracy...
I don't think you can use canva templates legally to resell.
