The Illusion of Security

  • It has been said that at the very foundation of all mental illness is an unwillingness to experience legitimate pain. Indeed some of the steps we take to make ourselves feel more secure are an instinctive reaction to the fear, and therefor seem like a good idea, but instinct is not rational thinking. George helps us understand the danger of irrational fear using the fear of germs as an example.

Please consider subscribing to the channel. I havent been uploading in a long time. I followed events in the world for a long time, unfortuately after 8 years of world events I found the constant sad news very draining and took a step back. That said every new subscriber is the greatest reward I could ask for and a source of motivation to continue working on my channel. I try to find and share timeless social commentary from the greatest people alive and also, sadly, the greats that have left this world. If you appreciate the content I share please subscribe and I promise to source the rarest clips of people like George Carlin (RIP). His thoughts are so relevant even all these years later. Thank You X
