Great video! I recently binge watched the entire AOS series and I’m glad I decided to give it another try. When I started season 6 I was like they really gonna find a way to have him in the show no matter what lol but this video gave me a new perspective. Son of Coul is really the glue of SHIELD. I can’t imagine it without him 💯
Personally, I don't count him as being back in season 6 because that was a totally different character. He was pretty good as the villain. Almost as intimidating as season 3 coulson. Lol
I love this series and I’m sad/excited for the last season. In the finale of season 6, the team is sent to New York in 1931, so what if they are there to protect the shield testing facility where they made Captain America? Honestly, I would just like to see tie-ins to the films and/or Agent Carter in some way because when the show was first developed, it was very tied to the movies, then skewed away, so even though Feige doesn’t want to acknowledge the continuity of this show in the scheme of the MCU, I’d love a slight nod!
Grand Ward was one of the best plot twist villains that ever happened in the MCU. Thats a bonus point for AOS. Though I would have loved for him to stay in the show as an professional agent! Btw. first i thought it would just be "Agents" of S.H.I.E.L.D., not "Agents" with "Inhumen" and "mystery" and "wth is Coulson still alive". First I was dissapointed but then I was like "Yeah this is actually pretty great. Especially with the time travel thing and alternate universe and so on..."
Omg my favourite Coulson moment is when you realize that in the beginning of Avengers, Potts walks away with him to elevator and you can hear them talking about his lady friend that plays the instrument. When you watch AoS you realize how that small little bit connects to the story of the MCU as a whole.
I can’t help but assume that Project TAHITI from Agents of SHIELD is based on what was done with Carol Danvers. She was given a Kree blood infusion to heal a mortal wound, then had her memory wiped and was given false memories to make her more compliant. It would be just like Fury to create something like TAHITI after learning about what happened to Captain Marvel, and kinda fits with his goofy naming of the Avengers Initiative when he says it was only ever for fallen Avengers.
If by dude you mean human using science then maybe? The time travel in agents of shield is based on something akin to a time stone, so dunno if it counts :D
Yeah, surprised that Theta Protocol and Audrey Nathan (the cellist) didn't get any mention in this. But still, this video was obviously well researched and really satisfying to watch. Phil Coulson has been my favorite member of the MCU ever since 2012, so it is really rewarding to see him get the attention he deserves in a video like this. Nicely done!
In the centre of every galaxy is a Phil coulson.. Hope Clark Gregg watches this amazing tribute. It's like telling the entire marvel story from the eyes of Agent PJC... 🥰
wait ok so how does agents of shield fit into endgame? like did they ever cover it and did any of them disappear then reappear? and how did they not also do a 5 year time jump and does Phil know Tony cap and Natasha are gone? this is so confusing. o and the extinction level event how were the avengers not alerted abt it and why wasn't daisy apart of that avengers program that cap and Natasha were working on
They mentioned infinity war in the show. The reason Daisy fights Talbot is because was trying to steal her power so he was strong enough to defeat Thanos. But besides that, there is no mention of the dusting. They are kinda just avoiding it. This next season takes place in the past so they don't have to deal with any of the timeline issues of endgame
They'll probably clean it up by saying the timelines split at some point. Hard to say when, perhaps around the cataclysmic event or maybe with all the time travel that is supposed to happen in the upcoming season there may be some sort of correction or explanation to the differences.
Have you ever opened a S.H.I.E.L.D./Fury comic? 2 words- hate monger. 2 more words. V-Battalion. 4 final ones. "Men" On the Wall. This was the definitive interpretation of S.H.I.E.L.D. from 60 years of comics. 1 last word. Graviton. All they needed was him to absorb someone in the Raft and BREAKOUT, for a single story covering his entire comic life. Give me that wierd!!!!! It's not like S.H.I.E.L.D. came from a comic series called "STRANGE TALES" (1965).... The S.H.I.E.L.D.-HYDRA war (literally) led to the destruction of Earth in a few what if timelines and then they finally do it and not only do it but stick the shit out of the landing. Don't tell me that Season 5 minute by minute Infinity War tie in wasn't damn right epic. Graviton is literally trying to get to The Avengers... What a waste on the Film side, but you could literally say, ZEPHYR-ONE went from Tahiti to Wakanda and Quake's involvement in the 14,000,606th timeline led to Thanos death in Wakanda and the divergence that was Season 6, still epic but they are literally setting up Operation: Galactic Storm (which followed infinity Gauntlet in the comics too) & Kang's involvement in the multiverse. (A future where Earth is destroyed due to an Interstellar conflict of the Avengers doing). Cause who on S.H.I.E.L.D. is considered an Avenger?.... PHIL MOTHER EFFING COULSON. & Best believe their time meddling is gonna bring this bad mofo back to smack the living eff out of Red Skull!!!! (Because a S.H.I.E.L.D. series wouldn't be complete without their greatest enemy, and possibly their inspiration (Albeit the newest version) returning to the fight).

I have enjoyed the Agents of Shield since the beginning of the series. It will be a day to remember as it comes to an end THANKS FOR THE RECAP.
I love this series and I’m sad/excited for the last season. In the finale of season 6, the team is sent to New York in 1931, so what if they are there to protect the shield testing facility where they made Captain America? Honestly, I would just like to see tie-ins to the films and/or Agent Carter in some way because when the show was first developed, it was very tied to the movies, then skewed away, so even though Feige doesn’t want to acknowledge the continuity of this show in the scheme of the MCU, I’d love a slight nod!
thank for the recap , can't wait for the last season
Aos is my fav, tomorrow new episode of the final season, savour it like its the most delicious treat out there
what do you mean final season? madness D:
Grand Ward was one of the best plot twist villains that ever happened in the MCU. Thats a bonus point for AOS. Though I would have loved for him to stay in the show as an professional agent!
Btw. first i thought it would just be "Agents" of S.H.I.E.L.D., not "Agents" with "Inhumen" and "mystery" and "wth is Coulson still alive". First I was dissapointed but then I was like "Yeah this is actually pretty great. Especially with the time travel thing and alternate universe and so on..."
He is the man. "Tigers been out the cage"
Coulson has the best lines haha
Omg my favourite Coulson moment is when you realize that in the beginning of Avengers, Potts walks away with him to elevator and you can hear them talking about his lady friend that plays the instrument. When you watch AoS you realize how that small little bit connects to the story of the MCU as a whole.
They should have ended the series with May and Coulson on the beach, would have been the best ending
Definitely. The following season was hard to watch, almost unbearable.
but they needed to explain the loose ends
Honestly, I thought that was the last episode. It ended the series well I thought. I have some catching up to do!
@@josuelillo1 disagree
@@josuelillo1 agreed, i watched it all the way until that season, completely through me off :/
I can’t help but assume that Project TAHITI from Agents of SHIELD is based on what was done with Carol Danvers.
Great original character of the films
The AofS final episode is beautiful.
Who thinks the Ghost Rider should get his own TV SHOW?
Ghost rider but Johnny blaze one
AofS is the most intricate, and most entertaining series i've ever watched. i want, nay, need more!
I love this
Phil Coulson is a legand! He is such an underrated character along with the agents of shield show
I thought there was going to be some new information, not just retelling his story through films and the tv show
He's actually one of my favorite *Agents Of Shield* characters ; among the movies as well 😄
So tony stark wasn't the first dude to discover time travel?
If by dude you mean human using science then maybe? The time travel in agents of shield is based on something akin to a time stone, so dunno if it counts :D
@@Daniel-yy3ty I'd at least count Dr. Strange's mentor, "The Ancient One", from her using an Infinity Stone as the top contender, thus far. ;)
Should have included 'don't worry, i know what it does'
Coulson is a Marvel treasure and its a damn shame they cut Agents of Shield our of the MCU.
Wrong. Coulson was there when they found Cap. He informed Fury, not the other way around.
Coulson is a very well written character. Plus Clark happens to be also a fan.
so wait, did "real" Coulson die in Tahiti from his loki injury with May?
yes
Hell of a callback
yes, off screen, between seasons 5 and 6
I love Coulson... Especially when he spared Fury and Carol to get away...
Why did you skip Hive arc?
Still hoping that one day, AOS will be in the cinematic universe because they deserve to be there.
Son of Coul!!! Funniest and most missable joke!!!
"know this son of Coul" this line gets me XD
More Phil Coulson's story to come in Season 7 premiering May 27
thanks for the upload. i have never watched an episode of agents of shield but you persuade me to do so. great vid. just subscribed.
Don’t touch Lola
In the centre of every galaxy is a Phil coulson.. Hope Clark Gregg watches this amazing tribute. It's like telling the entire marvel story from the eyes of Agent PJC... 🥰
Why was all of season 3 skipped?
He's so good, "He Guys" conveys everything we need to know!
Wait a second, they forgot about the hive.😂
Agent of shield it's a wonderful ,i watched all seasons now I'm waiting for next seasons .
Imagine if S.H.E.L.D still had 3 helicarriers.
I’ve got a sore head! Information overload! Thanks though! 👍🍺🏴
wait ok so how does agents of shield fit into endgame? like did they ever cover it and did any of them disappear then reappear? and how did they not also do a 5 year time jump and does Phil know Tony cap and Natasha are gone? this is so confusing. o and the extinction level event how were the avengers not alerted abt it and why wasn't daisy apart of that avengers program that cap and Natasha were working on
This is so true! Daisy needs to b in the Avengers!
The short version: AoS is not part of the MCU (as Kevin Feige affirmed), so whatever happens on this show would not have any effect on the movies.
@@josuelillo1 oooo thank u sm I was literally so confused
Coulson is my favorite! Love Clark Gregg!
...proves how weird agents of shield has gotten
Exactly lol. Sheeesh
I don't see how that's a bad thing
Can we just appreciate what a amazing series is agents of shield
0200 "after dealing with thundergods and billionaire geniuses..."
Ummm actually...
Coulson's fanboy moment came earlier in the film. On a quinjet when Coulson was transporting Steve to the carrier.
Son of Coul did not see Thor until after the Thor v Iron Man fight.
[adjusts taped eyeglasses]
he was in the 1st Thor movie.
@@lyncat No, play the quote. We were talking about the bloody Capt. America cards. That happened in Avengers, not Thor, and later in the film than noted.
I love Coulson. He is my favourite character in the MCU
coulson a man that mcu can never replace
Thanks guys. Nice summary.
