There weirdly enough aren’t many explanations about this video so in case you were wondering:
Abruzzo: the region most often hit by earthquakes, the biggest ones recently were in 2009 and 2016
Basilicata: very sparsely populated and rural, with honestly not too much to offer aside from the city of Matera. The blonde might be a reference to the Norman invasion of southern Italy
Calabria: The tip of the peninsula, thus almost universally seen by both northerners and brethren southerners as being entirely populated by monkeys that dare to assume they are people
Campania: stereotypically, very stereotypically Italian (hence the mustache guy); mafia and overly sensitive and passionate Napoli soccer fans
Emilia-Romagna: it historically has been the most left-wing region in Italy (Italian socialism practically started there) and the capital of Bologna has always been a center of left wing rebellious movements (I should know, I live there); buuuut Benito Mussolini was born there too
Friuli Venezia Giulia: on the border with Slovenia and the city of Triste was claimed by Yugoslavia for a time; the other girl is a reference to the song playing in the background “Tanti auguri” by Raffaella Carrà, which says: “Oh, how good it is to make love from Trieste southwards”
Latium: Ancient Rome ofc. And also, since Rome is a very big city with big universities there are a lot of really “average” young people, I guess
Liguria: I guess the Wojack on the left is there because Liguria gives off a renaissance vibe or he might be a reference to Christopher Columbus who was from Genoa; the Jew on the other hand… well Ligurians are our stereotypically stingy and greedy people… although I think that actually comes from the fact there used to be a large Calvinist minority there
Lombardy: the richest region thus it’s filled with obnoxious and snobby ultra-rich people; as every single region in these videos with a large city in it there are a lot of left-wing queer people; the guy on the right looks just like the students from Milan’s main universities
Marche: the central regions don’t have that much that distinguishes them. I don’t think they are particularly more religious than other regions, but I guess they can sort of fit the hillbilly archetipe; as for the other wojack I don’t know, but Giacomo Leopardi’s poems really do depict Marche as an equally awful place (I actually like that region quite a bit)
Molise: everybody pretends this region doesn’t exist, livestock is probably a good symbol for it
Piedmont: Turin is one of the cities in Italy with the most Romanians (the largest immigrant group here); the woman I have no idea, but that’s kind of like I would imagine someone from there, it feels like a pretty depressive region
Apulia: I guess they are very stereotypically Italian as well and they do have a lot of coast so a lot of seafood
Sardinia: there are goats and sheep and goat cheese everywhere and there’s a common joke that Sardinians copulate with them
Sicily: mafia and the guy is dressed in a pretty old fashioned way but that’s how many Sicilian man dress as a possible indicator of a generally somewhat backwards region
Tuscany: Dante Alighieri, a Renaissance guy and a Chinese woman because in Tuscan there are supposedly a ton of Chinese people mainly in the city of Prato
Trentino-South Tyrol: the South Tyrol part is actually bilingual with German and some people there want to join Austria (Austria doesn’t want them)
Umbria: I got nothing. Another generic central region on the surface (it doesn’t have a lot of really important and beautiful sights, but nothing that sticks out over all) It’s just kind of rural.
Aosta Valley: it’s bilingual with French.
Veneto: lots of tourists, very unclean water, even outside Venice, stereotypically Italian but only from a foreign perspective
Encomiabile davvero👏🏻

Perfetto compà

@Iny892 "Excellent climate"? It's humid as fuck, getting higher than 50% on the regular. Umbria (as an Umbrian) is really calm and peaceful (even because we are one of the least populated regions), but it is more a sort of union between progress and traditionalism (like, people are quite progressive, but it's normal to homestead and possess animals like chickens and sheep)

As a half salernitan and half pugliese that lives in lazio, this video is 300% accurate (lu purpu ete lu megliu)

Hope this helps getting you started!
I can speak specifically of Tuscany:
The guy on the left is Dante Algieri, writer of the Devine Comedy (most well known part is Dante's Inferno), and basically spread the Italian language. At the time, Italian as we know it was effectively the Tuscan dialect.
The guy in the middle is just the flourentine fit from the rennaisance.
The girl on the right is just a Chinese girl. Tuscany (especially a city called Prato, where I'm from) is well known for having a very large Chinese immigrant population. In Prato its because it's basically the center of Tuscany's textile industry, attracting a lot of Chinese companies.
It’s a joke, people from other regions call calabrians monkeys 🙈 it’s a little mean but in Italy we joke in a mean way a lot of times
of course the sicilian girl has a machine gun, obviously
Sei siciliana?
