Greek facts no one asked for: There are over 10,000 traditional dances that come from all regions of the country. If any country is the true Dancing Queen, it's definitely Greece. 80 percent of its landmass is mountainous, but no part of Greece is more than 137 km/85 miles from the ocean! Greece has an impressive coastline of 16,000 km (9,942 miles), making it one of the longest in the world. Greece is also one of the leading olive producers in the world, and they grow the greatest variety. Some of the country’s olive trees that were planted in the 13th century are still bearing fruit today. Every time Gordon Ramsay uses a touch of olive oil, an olive grove disappears. @@yolo3004 It's a Greek thing but to summarize. Λιακόπουλος is an author (of sorts) who sells books pertaining to conspiracy theories. A good chunk of them are meh tier, ie your typical Protocols of the Elders, New World Order, Bohemian Grove etc. But then again we're dealing with the Balkans here, where the conspiracy theories come with extra spice. For example forget the typical story of Alexander the Great and the mainstream accounts. According to books of Λιακόπουλο he waged war against the forces of Gog and Magog, who were invading from the hollow earth and had to be sealed away in modern day Kashmir (or Central Asia, he was never clear about that). Other theories include that all the modern conflicts of Balkans are an integral part of the battle between good and darkness, which is of galactic proportions. But reading OP's comment, I remember him saying that some ancient Spartans somehow managed to make it to Bolivia/Peru and their descendants shaped a good part of pre-Colombian civilization. So yeah, Balkan conspiracy theories put today's history channel to shame.
@@galanopouloc We must not fail to notice that Liakopoulos comes form a military family background. His father was working in NATO and even himself worked as an external consultant at NATO for a brief time. It is thus evident that like in the case of so many other para-mythologists such as Liakopoulos that there is a US-connection to all that. CIA is known for decades now to keep spreading ridiculous propagandas for para-political usage. UFOlogy is also inscribed into that, and Liakopoulos also delved into that as well.

Apart from the eternal Gyros vs Souvlaki debate, there is the Athens vs Thessaloniki debate and I do have to say that this video has dealt irrecoverable damage to the Athens side.
Thessalonians are declared braindead at birth. They can't comprehend the fact that one word can have multiple meanings, which is why they get an aneurysm every time someone uses the word kalamaki to refer to meat on skewers. Also, "souvlaki" is a blanket term. It's like saying "pizza". You need to be more specific in order to make an order. But in Thessaloniki they only have two choices because their underdeveloped brains can't handle much more.
Please make more parts of this video for Greece. This video is so accurate that I will recommend it as an official guide for travelers to Greece through the greek Ministry of Tourism :D :D
Everything is accurate but there's only one mistake: souvlaki is called that only in Thessaloniki, everywhere else they call it kalamaki (which is the exact same word for straw) bc they're insane. Thank you for recognizing and appreciating how based Thessaloniki is 💯💯💪

As a fellow Greek I have to say I’m surprised you figured Greece out in 5 days 😂😂😂
I had a dish called Giouvetsi in a restaurant in a mountain village in Crete. Best meal of my life
Good thing you didn't ate it in Papariga
You cannot possibly fathom how simple that meal is for us, residents of Greece. Although I do get it, giouvetsi is fucking delicious!
if that shit fresh then it's hella fire. you eat it, you feel good, you get fat, you get sad... but then you get thin again and you forget why eating an entire tray of the stuff is bad. same goes for many other dishes like the pasticcio (παστίτσιο) and " t h e m o u s a k a " (μουσακάς).

"Greece invented Turkey" how are the comments not on fire after that statement?
Yeah I was surprised too. But for clarification, when Atatürk was born, Selanik was a land of The Ottoman Empire. As a Turkish person, I think the two countries shouldn't hate eachother. We have a bad history with Greece, yes. But we lived in the same lands with really similar cultures for a long time, we should try to get along better.

The Λιακόπουλος is strong with this one
what
@@yolo3004 It's a Greek thing but to summarize.
@@galanopouloc hahaha 🤣 this is insane. thank you bro

Honestly for me at least both Souvlaki and Gyros are acceptable unless you put the Souvlaki inside of a pita or bread, then that's a war crime.
You nailed it !! Also fantastic editing and comedy skills buddy .
That was very accurate
