I really think that you could get more miles out of these by leaving them alone than by subjecting them to this process. The tolerances will be all over the water, the surface hardening gone from the rollers, and they'll be full of grit.

This would -kinda- make sense if they replaced e.g. a broken roller with a new one, or better yet, one with the same amount of wear as the others. Or if they used still healthy parts of multiple bearings to build a serviceable one. But in this vid they just polish, clean and grind the parts of the same bearing. At best it will be the same as before, only cleaner, but it will rattle more due to increased tolerances.

Разный диаметр не важен, если там небольшое отклонение. Важна одинаковая конусность. А дальше ролик сам чуть сместится выше или ниже между обоймами в пределах зазора в окне сепаратора. Но "ремонт" этот можно было полностью заменить полосканием в солярке, это уж точно) Всё равно результат один и тот же)

My company had a “repaired” bearing fitted by contractors into a primary gearbox which failed very quickly causing millions of dollars downtime. Now the only bearings allowed have to have materials and manufacturing and heat treatment history.

As unbelievable as it looks: The result has to satisfy some customers to some degree, else they wouldn't do it in the first place. Here, inspection wouldn't allow my car on the road with bearings as destroyed as the restored product here. But those are probably still better than no bearing at all.
