Somewhere out there, some NSA or CIA bureaucrat is playing this game and thinking "Secret underwater prison camp for illegal experiments? Why didn't we think of that?!"
Was I the only one who loved this DLC to death? It takes so much more inspiration from the original(minus the loading screens). Needed more open sections though, 2 warehouses isn't enough, should be 50/50 open space to close quarters.
***** Yeah, play the Director's cut and it'll really piss you off I was about 15 praxis from having all the augs when I went into it and by the time I finished I barely had what I started with. Pretty obnoxious
***** they give you 25 at the end and you find ~5 by exploring If you were thorough up to the missing link, you'll barely have what you started with which is obnoxious. And yes you get your gear back, you get to play a nice game of drop everything on the floor and rearrange everything. Not to well thought out, but I don't really see how they could have incorporated the dlc in a better way. Honestly, it didn't really need to be done; most of the dlc's story is looking towards the sequel, not the last act of human revolution, so it feels weird.
I LOVED IT TO DEATH TOO :D best part of the game ! i can't explain how much i love this chapter all the conspiracies went deep and dirty secrets were revealed
This is pure beauty! You really get creative with those boxes. :D My first and only time playing this DLC was quite violent. The double crate at 17:27 just blew my mind!
Hey man, I only found your video now, but I followed it all the way through nearly all day and it was super useful. Thanks a ton for putting it together and adding in the annotations as well as responding to people in the comments. You're help is extremely appreciated and I was fortunate enough to unlock "Factory Zero" without a single issue. Once again, thanks, dude! And keep up the good work. This playthrough was amazing!!
No way bro 23:30 is worse. Hacking the COs door right next to him If there is a remastered version of this game they need to be much more sensitive to the environment.
Avik De Yeah I have the directors cut for the 360 and can't get away with 3/4 of the shit he pulls in this game in "give me deus ex mode" ON THE OTHER HAND. Finding the Gas Generator absolutely surprised me. I thought there wasn't an actual third option. Hopeful/10 next Deus Ex will be immensely in depth and have more stuff to do.
I had some major bugs during my Missing Link playthough, such as consistently starting the bossfight spotted and with everyone hostile, makin' getting Factory Zero a lot harder and probably locking me out of Foxiest of Hounds ( ;_; ), but this guide was extremely helpful for getting FZ. Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks, you're too awesome! I followed this every inch of the way, bar 2 places, because I had a guard that would not budge & he got stuck in a wall, so I had no choice but to take him down & had no choice but to have him turn hostile, that put the entire building on alert for the entire duration, but following this really helped me get through it. Thanks so much :-D I enjoyed watching you play!
One difference I noticed in Give Me Deus Ex mode is that when I entered the prison compound (the part right before you use the box to move the large crate) the guards went immediately into "suspicious" status even though I didn't do anything to alert them. I reloaded the part a bunch of times and I couldn't avoid it. It didn't affect their behavior so it might have just been a glitch.
Best. Walkthrough. Ever. Thank you very much, sir! That drop box fall trick was extremely useful. Played the game full for the factory zero achiv but for some peculiar reason didn't get it. Played it again all the way through in 2 hours and got it. Yay.
Thank you so much. I managed to push the big crate with the fire extinguisher and the cardboardbox by opening/closing the vent while the yellow code was ongoing. Saved everyone without augments. =D I also would have never find out how to get up there without the jump augment. Thanks again, you did such a great job making this vid.
After Deus Ex Mankind Divided I played through DXHR Director´s Cut again, especially to revenge me as I failed to save Malik back in the days. Worked too which made me very happy. I watched your Factory Zero playthrough of Missing Link and I say: awesome, brilliant ... makes me green in the face with envy. But if I walked around like that I would have been spotted every time. So thank you for this video.
coolcat001100 Civs... detain in military facilities for no believable reason other than suspected of terrorism... a this place like the US summer home in Cuba
naxo Very true. But hey, at least they aren't having their spines ripped out and being forced to power an A.I. to create passwords like IWNTLOVE and LSTFOREVR and YYYYY... (Shudders)
I'm glad there are people like you to do runs like this. Because they're fun to watch, but I think I would tear out every hair on my head if I tried to do this myself. Maybe if you gave me a year or two, I could do it, but it's more fun just to watch :)
Fantastic Guide, Worked a treat and was top notch that you had the achievement/trophies included. The bit near the end in the hangar were we had to shuffle with the crate had me lol'n hard, It was like a clip from a bad cartoon with someone hiding under a crate shuffling along unseen by there enemy with the feet sticking out the bottom.......then the guard says confused "Damn...Where are you hiding?" as i trotted past him. Many thanks for the excellent help.
Started using this video when I found out the walkthrough I was using stopped halfway and was never finished, yours worked really well. Thanks for posting it.
Respect. Can't hardly believe how close you get to these guards without them hearing you walking or seeing you, but you make the whole thing look so easy and effortless. I've always preferred creating chaos and making use of the lovely weapons in the game but this example of stealth is so slick and well executed.
I'm pretty late, but I've been working towards the platinum trophy for this game, and after following this play-through pretty much exactly I now have Factory Zero, so thanks for that.
It's so strange, but the crate from the segment at 34:20 doesn't break when I land on top of it when I am doing it in the Director's Cut from Steam now. I also end up making some of the enemies suspicious when I land. Don't know if it is related to the last, but then at 35:42, there is a guy standing in front of that door looking towards the lasers, and he will *not* move. When I came out of the last security scan, I can see him moving on the map, but once he got in front of that door, he doesn't resume patrolling to head down the other way where the video shows him. I was able to knock him out, drag him to the lasers so I could move through without a problem, and haul him up the stairs to leave him there without issue. After that, I didn't have much trouble other than the two guys at the bottom of the detention block when trying to get the fire extinguisher through the hatch to stop the gas. Those two guys would not get into proper spots for me to slip through. But I managed in time, and got through to the end, saved, got the Factory Zero achievement, then backed up and got the CASIE achievement. Despite the trouble, thank you from years down the road from another person you helped with this collection of achievements.
Thank you so much! This is a really great guide! Stuck with it and I got all the trophies that you listed in your comment box. Hope you make more videos. Also subscribed to you and rated 5stars. Least I can do for helping me out on the game.
Quality video, great help. Got every achievement doing this, for the back stage pass I saved before got the strength and leg aug and then shot the gas in the room because the other way didn't work for me. So once I did it I just reloaded it and then killed the prisoners and then finished and got factory zero. Great video thanks !!
To quote Burke, "Most men can't see beyond the choices that are in front of them." But you, sir, very much can. Thanks for all of these strategies, especially that vent after you first get off the boat. These helped me get the Factory Zero trophy last night.
Holy shit... 5 hours and 20 minutes later, this the Factory Zero trophy is finally mine! :D But damn... to think that I need to do this crap all over again for the Foxiest of the Hounds trophy (assuming I have to Ghost and Smooth Criminal this DLC section again on Director's Cut... which btw, I hate that they killed the piss filter with no option of restoring it). Thanks for the vid, bratán! :D
i keep reading how nightmarish the hyron project is, but i cant help to just love it. it is on of the most fascinating things ive seen in games. i read wiki and random articles about it over and over. hell, i got mad for MD ignoring it for most of its might. well... i got mad on MD for other reasons too but, you got the idea XD
Great job on this vid! I learned some tricks about the game that I didn't know before. I've been playing the Wii Version and have beaten the Hyron Projct a couple times. I will say though tht there were some times in this vid where I would've used Takedowns to make things quicker, but you didn't KO anyone until Burke's area, where it's required. I'd only heard about the gas thing and saving both prisoners and Kavanaugh, but I didn't know a fire extinguisher was required.
09:59 stealthy cut ;p. Playhtroughs like these are always a really good watch imo. Just to see how people managed to do things, think out of the box y'know? Excellent play.
Great work...i look forward to the day i can do this. Thanks also for revealing everyone can be saved. Im trying to do all scenarios: combat, stealth and factory zero.
I'm amazed by the videos of this guy. I'm not much of a gamer myself, and my first playthrough was a chaotic bloodbath with LOTS of dying and reloading (average difficulty). Now I'm in the middle of my second playthrough and I try to play smarter. Elegant stealth feels soo much better, though my Adam looks like a clumsy and incompetent idiot in comparison to this one :D But I love this game very much and will keep trying :D
This gameplay is fantastic! Just got the last achievement for this DLC, although a glitched guard ruined my Foxiest of the Hounds run though. This was unbelievably tricky!
haha, truly. But what I meant is that, im my playthrough, as soon as you enter that room for the first time, you get SUSPICIOUS status. It doesn't happen for you, although it really doesn't matter, since its a practically meaningless status. For me, on the way up for the first time, and down again, it was all under that status. I JUST finished my playthrough, and I found your tricks for Burke's office and All of the Above to be invaluable, and very well planned. Great Guide!
Never realized how Unobservant the guards are until I watched this video ... Half the time he's standing or crouching right next to them and they don't even notice 😂😭 Played "hot" my first playthru (killing anything that moves) then stealthy/pacifist on my 2nd playthru 😈 Was able to complete Deus Ex gaining every achievement possible with the help of this video 😃 Not to mention that box drop tactic was sweet! (When he jumped from the 3rd floor landing on the box he dropped right before he jumped) 😎
I still couldnt believe that i was STILL in the DLC when the whole burke stuff happened. All i thought the dlc was was the ship only. I dont get why all the hate and my intense joy after getting my gear from before back. Well made and put together
After playing the game the worst possible way, this was a blast to watch! I killed most of the guards and wasn't too thrilled with this add on. It didn't meat my expectations because the original was just that good (besides the boss fights) and I hated running back and forth. This was a lot of fun to be in the passenger seat and see how I could have done it differently without going through everything I saw already. Thanks for the upload!!
Watching this was fantastic ... good show man! Judging by the speed at which you rifled through this, I assume that you've completed this several times, yes?
Fair play. It took me 4 hours to do what you've done in less than an hour and half and I missed a trophy until I found this playthough. Which is brilliant btw.
@prenatual I just did the crate pushing myself worked fine on the 360. Thanks for show it and also thank you for the video it was an excellent walkthrough.
This was very helpful. Was doing fine until the detention block second floor. Had to come back again for the solution to the gas attack. Unfortunately I used a handgun to break the large box without even thinking so doing it again (while cleaning up remaining achievements). Pushing it didn't work but throwing three crates at it did (all on the first floor). Nice touch getting Never Forget w/o leg augs too :3
1:08:17 "...Where the hell is he?!" Well he *certainly* couldn't be hiding behind that conveniently placed box which wasn't there 20 seconds ago... >Thonk This run has been pretty spectacular, but I lost it at that comedically well-timed line.
at 41:30 I have a guy patrolling the hall and two guys in the room behind the glass on the right. It's not possible to run through there. Not sure what to do. edit: so I had to go all the way around the other direction. For some reason the guys in the room were seem by the game to be in the hallway so they could see me every single time. Bug.
The box trick does work on XBOX as of Feb 2012. I just did it. The trick is to open the little gate 4 or 5 times to get the maximum gap between the big heavy box and the wall. From then it's a matter of positioning the small box and try to push the box inside the man hole BUT without actually holding the box (IE: DO NOT PUSH 'X'). Simply put the small box on the ground and try to push it in with the smaller side facing the man hole.
2022 and this guide is still helping people. Thank you so much for putting this together, it was super helpful!
2024!
Somewhere out there, some NSA or CIA bureaucrat is playing this game and thinking "Secret underwater prison camp for illegal experiments? Why didn't we think of that?!"
and " Can we get these guns and robots please? oh and these cells and technology? PLEASE!"
you got it wrong, they is thinking, "how did they find out?"
*hits blunt* "bad joke"
don't give them ideas, you idiot! besides, this one is owned by a corporation and its filled with corrupt belltower personnel.
Thanks for reminding me why Deus Ex is one of the most compelling game series ever made.
that fall in 34:24 0.0 awesome man, didn't know that can happen
Frag mines are red,
Scanners are blue,
Just got the achievement,
All thanks to you!
I have Deus ex mankind divided
Was I the only one who loved this DLC to death? It takes so much more inspiration from the original(minus the loading screens). Needed more open sections though, 2 warehouses isn't enough, should be 50/50 open space to close quarters.
***** Yeah, play the Director's cut and it'll really piss you off
I was about 15 praxis from having all the augs when I went into it and by the time I finished I barely had what I started with.
Pretty obnoxious
***** they give you 25 at the end and you find ~5 by exploring

Honestly, it didn't really need to be done; most of the dlc's story is looking towards the sequel, not the last act of human revolution, so it feels weird.
Puglous It was meant to be mostly unrelated, exposition for other parts of the lore that will be important later on
I LOVED IT TO DEATH TOO :D best part of the game ! i can't explain how much i love this chapter all the conspiracies went deep and dirty secrets were revealed
This is pure beauty! You really get creative with those boxes. :D My first and only time playing this DLC was quite violent. The double crate at 17:27 just blew my mind!
Holy cow. This was an amazing run. I can only imagine how long this took to prepare. Good job.

Agreed. Thanks man for this awesome playthrough!
Much respect for this. Thank you. Did 'That Old Adage', too (save and reload etc.).
Well I was planning on replaying this tonight, but totally got sucked into watching your beautiful stealth walkthrough. Well done! well done!
At 22:30 worst security guard EVER!
No way bro 23:30 is worse. Hacking the COs door right next to him
If there is a remastered version of this game they need to be much more sensitive to the environment.
i dont think he can get away in both the cases in the directors cut version in pc
Avik De Yeah I have the directors cut for the 360 and can't get away with 3/4 of the shit he pulls in this game in "give me deus ex mode"
ON THE OTHER HAND. Finding the Gas Generator absolutely surprised me. I thought there wasn't an actual third option.
Hopeful/10 next Deus Ex will be immensely in depth and have more stuff to do.
Thanks for the "Icarus box" exploit dude, I never knew you could do that haha! Saves a lot of time.
this DLC was awesome.. great atmosphere, really tense from start to finish..
Thanks!

Thank you for the guide! You helped me get every Missing Link achievement in just one evening.
Best. Walkthrough. Ever. Thank you very much, sir!

I always really appreciate it when the person playing really knows what they're doing. Great video
love playing dx hr and MD with no augs. it intesifies and amps up the challenge.
God, this is such a disturbing chapter.
+coolcat001100 Ironically realistic isn't?
naxo
What do you mean?
coolcat001100 Civs... detain in military facilities for no believable reason other than suspected of terrorism... a this place like the US summer home in Cuba

+coolcat001100 It's almost sickening to hear the prisoners cry out in their cells. I shudder at the fact that it's not too far from reality, either.
09:43
So, that was the container devs were talking about in Director's Cut.
Its almost 8 years and still helpful. Thanks.
I'm glad there are people like you to do runs like this. Because they're fun to watch, but I think I would tear out every hair on my head if I tried to do this myself. Maybe if you gave me a year or two, I could do it, but it's more fun just to watch :)

Stealth Level: Master
Best and Darkest chapter of Deus Ex
just got the last achievement and this guide helped me a lot thanks prenatual you are the man
Awesome playthrough for truly amazing game.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate help with factory zero... :D
At 27:54 you can drop any item near the guard. He will turn around and you need to press button fast and use ladder. No detection.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! this is the best walkthrough ever. i got all the trophies in one play through, all thanks to you. i loved all the tricks you used.
Thank you so much for putting so much effort into making such a truly amazing guide
Thanks bro, I just got the achievement, you’re awesome
This is really impressive and entertaining to watch. Well done.
Started using this video when I found out the walkthrough I was using stopped halfway and was never finished, yours worked really well. Thanks for posting it.

I've always preferred creating chaos and making use of the lovely weapons in the game but this example of stealth is so slick and well executed.
I thought I was a bad ass when I played it, you sir are great and I hope that you make more videos like this one
This is a fantastic walk-through. Easy to follow and helpful.
Done the 'Icarus Box' and it's AWSOME!!!
Thanks for the play-trough! it helps a lot with the achievements :)
Great work on the walkthrough. Nice to see an "all trophies" guide - there should be more of these around!
Thank you - this helped immensely in gaining the achievement.
You killed it dude! Thanks!
On my playthrough, (I'm following yours) and at 14:20 - 14:30 there's concussion mines all over the place, what did I do wrong?
the boss fight in this game(dlc) was better than any of the ones in the deus ex game.
I'm pretty late, but I've been working towards the platinum trophy for this game, and after following this play-through pretty much exactly I now have Factory Zero, so thanks for that.
Thanks, this was very helpful. I`ve made some changes during the walkthrough but have my regards, this is great solution!
Great playthrough. The bit with second hand smoking was really funny too ;P
Despite the trouble, thank you from years down the road from another person you helped with this collection of achievements.
dude never seen some one making walkthrough video this perfect
Sir, you're a fucking legend. I couldn't complete this level without your help. Thank you so so much.
Thank you so much! This is a really great guide! Stuck with it and I got all the trophies that you listed in your comment box. Hope you make more videos. Also subscribed to you and rated 5stars. Least I can do for helping me out on the game.
LOL Best moment -> 22:19 "Got an extra smoke?".
Awesome guide, it helps a lot! I just complete the DLC on the XBOX and get all the achievement on the road. Thanks a lot!
Quality video, great help. Got every achievement doing this, for the back stage pass I saved before got the strength and leg aug and then shot the gas in the room because the other way didn't work for me. To quote Burke, "Most men can't see beyond the choices that are in front of them." But you, sir, very much can. Thanks for all of these strategies, especially that vent after you first get off the boat. These helped me get the Factory Zero trophy last night.
good work, i followed your Video and got the Achievement, thanks !
Jesus. You found a "C". That's a thing of beauty, sir. A thing of beauty.
In the core game I managed to stealth the majority myself. In this DLC I tripped alarms so often I had to use a walkthrough. Good video.

* Wii U version rather. There is no Wii version.
Muito obrigado pelo seus serviços prestados, ajudou demais na caça às conquistas do jogo.
Awesome guide buddy! Thanks a lot for the guide. Cheers!
All I have to say is brilliant! some of the moves past the guards had me with bated breath, what a dance man....
very well done, finally a walkthrough with contents!
This just moves so fast and looks so good my graphics card will never in a million years will look this good until I get another graphics card.
Try now, 144FPS on 3840x1600 :)
Absolutely the best stealth player I’ve witnessed.
This gameplay is fantastic! Just got the last achievement for this DLC, although a glitched guard ruined my Foxiest of the Hounds run though. This was unbelievably tricky!
"I choose the fire extinguisher"
and I lost my shit
Excellent guide, thank you very much

1h21 de pure bonheur !!! enfin un compatriote, hardcore gamer talent :) super !!
pouce vert pour tous ceux qui pense comme moi (y)
@prenatual
I just did the crate pushing myself worked fine on the 360. Thanks for show it and also thank you for the video it was an excellent walkthrough.
This is out-$&@^ing-standing. i just spent an entire day and staying up most of the night to do what you did in an hour, without praxis. Bravo, sir.
1:08... Sneaking with a box- I'm getting a Solid Snake vibe here.
Thank you so much for helping.
Nice touch getting Never Forget w/o leg augs too :3
@34:24: Holy fucking shit...! That's one badass subtle landing there. XD ha ha ha
1:08:17 "...Where the hell is he?!"
Well he *certainly* couldn't be hiding behind that conveniently placed box which wasn't there 20 seconds ago... >Thonk
This run has been pretty spectacular, but I lost it at that comedically well-timed line.
Never got this on PS3, finally got it on PC, thanks
at 41:30 I have a guy patrolling the hall and two guys in the room behind the glass on the right.
'Icarus Box' genius idea/glitch.
