I love dissonance it sounds more like real life to me and that’s why I think they can be so beautiful, it can be a complex emotionally feeling chord

@@RobertSaxy absolutely agree with you , many find dissonant intervals annoying, disgusting , ""scary"" , i literally feel something indescribable , emotionally

@@stoplookingatmeplease1230 I've always found that I think dissonance only appeals to people that listen to music so much that they start finding it "predictable" and so then it sorta takes more to sound "fresh" to your ear and dissonance does that. At least for me anyway. One of the most awesome dissonant sounds I've ever heard is Norah Jones doing Black Hole Sun on piano. It's beautiful.

@@TomoFujitaMusic hey, I've found diminished to be very confusing. I've been trying to learn diatonic triad for a while and found you explained it in a way that is very helpful. I feel like finding this information should be easy, but it is hard. I appreciate your skill and willingness to commit to teaching. I want to jazz the shit out of a guitar. I will watch your videos to show me how. Thank you

You're the best Tomo, from Philippines! You have helped me very much! Although I would like to ask if I may, why is it important to understand the degree of each triad inversion? Thank you very much in advance. - Benj

So happy to hear that. Any subjects, its better to learn things iodide out! Otherwise, your mind is always looking for shapes so your playing skill stays where you are and your information & your gear grow more! It's so better to know intervals! That's how you hear music by listening!

Can I use modes to play over chord changes or do I just have to use arpeggios and scale tones

Hello Tomo I hope you're doing very well. I was wondering if maybe you could give me a little guidance I've been learning with my instructor for almost 6 months now and I feel very frustrated trying to understand theory and how to go about studying it. With your guitar wisdom website is there a particular order I should follow in order to have an easier time trying to have a better understanding of music theory? I also have the guitar method book as well. Sorry for the long message I'm just really frustrated and I want to understand how to connect the dots and music. Thank you so much Tomo. 🎸🎶🎵👍
