This is Colours from the Live in Berlin DVD. This version shows the drum angles of Chester and Phil during the drum duets at the beginning and the end, and Chester playing throughout the song. - เพลง

Extremely underrated, and filled with emotion. The instrumental, lyrics, and passion that was dedicated to this track, never gets it's full credits. One of my favorite all-time Collins songs, and one that brings many memories. Truly one of a kind. A masterpiece that hits the heart. Has to be one of his best work, and it's sad that legends like these only come once in a lifetime. Long Live Phil.

To the average person lt may look like Chester's doing a better job look close at Phil his sound is a lot more clean much higher chops and leaves chester ln the dust at the finale Phil should get some notice as well especially when he put chester on the map

Wow!! Phil Collins is so underrated! I mean you look at this video and by the way. I'd like to thank whoever made it the audio is brilliant. What I'm saying you look at Phil Collins he's on the piano. he's pumping up the crowd. he's the front man singing. Talk about multi-talented!!? And then turns out one of the most brilliant drum solos I've ever heard! Not to leave out Chester who's also a brilliant drummer these two are truly poetry in motion!!! You need to put on a good quality pair and phones crank this thing loud and appreciate one of the most underrated talents of all time I'm talkin about mr. Phil Collins!!!!

I think this is the most in underrated Phil Collins song. It’s dramatic like something out of the early Genesis days and theatrical because of Phil and Chester more than anything. It’s got the heavily progressive feel of a Face Value era song but the professional pop appeal of the rest of the album.
this very song is so rich in everything!! Lyrics, message, Drums, piano, bass. Just a cocktail of different feelings running through my veins when I listen to this song......

It's OK, my friend...I just want to thank you for those Cam Takes you've published...I´m learned to play bass when I was at high-school and later I started to learn classic guitar only for speed up my right hand fingers "...because I like bass guitar" said to my professor Mario Vidalin...anyway, I quit playing bass for many years untill 1998 when I saw this concert in a VCR tape and was impressed with Leland Sklar so I felt encouraged to buy my own bass and play it again (I use MIDIs and videos like this)...this particular video allowed me to see Lee playing A BASS PEDALBOARD (see it at 2:38)...that's why I heard the bass sound so different and awesome...once again...thank you and keep going

The mix of this recording is absolutely incredible! ❤ Every instrument is crisp clear, the drums sound amazing, there is even stereo spread between Phil and Chester during their solo in the end. Not to mention, that it is a fantastic song, especially this live version! 😊

And as much as I love Phills legacy, Chester was clearly the wider-based drummer of the two. That is probably why Phil dropped him in the last years.
Chester is drum royalty.
While I agree with your statement. There’s no question that Phil in his own right was an outstanding drummer and not only that but, vocally and a great pianist. Chester and the rest of the band have always remained royal and faithful to Phil. Fulfilling what was a great tour in 1990 🙌

The Genesis tours in 1992 and 2007 were probably the best they have done in modern era Genesis.

It's actually based on the 'Standard African 12/8 Bell' pattern, with its roots in traditional West African music (Phil knows his ethno-musical styles, so it's probably no accident that he chose that groove for this particular tune). Chester does a great job with it on the hi-hat and then on the ride cymbal during the instrumental breaks!

I love this song. While the theme of it collectively condemns the Apartheid and criticizes the leaders that supported it while addressing the people's living situations, it's delivered in a cheerful manner (hope for the future and "kill them (the Apartheid supporters) with kindness" are what I got out of it), and the drum duet is a fabulous added bonus.

This version is simply excellent. I need to ask you something: Is this somehow post edited (EQ) or some kind of different recording source? The piano and drums sound clearer to me. Actually the whole mix sounds better than on the Berlin recording I have known so far. Thx
Hi Daniel, thanks for your message. Yes, the audio has been remixed. I've taken the enhanced 5.1 audio channels, and remixed them to a new stereo track. This created a better overall sound.
