    Super in-depth, fun video here Spencer! Love seeing how you've been able to diversify across Citi, Capital One, AMEX & Chase + adding business as well personal Cards to really maximize your rewards potential! I've been thinking more about putting personal expenses on business Cards so it was definitely reassuring hearing you talk about that- been putting pretty much all of my wedding spend on my Hilton Honors BIZ for the 15K spend to get the FNC. Great video!

    Nice flow and pace to your video, it didn’t feel like a 25 minute video when I was watching it.
    Chase keeps upping my credit line with them. I started with the WoH at $9,400 and 4 months later they upped it to $18,600 (I think there was a bump in between to the 12-14k range).
    I just got my second card with Chase this past week, it was the CSP and they gave me a $21,900 credit line to start with.
    I had an 830+ credit score before I took out 3 cards last week.

    • @SpencerJohnsonOfficial
      @SpencerJohnsonOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's actually a huge compliment. I was really trying to get this one to be one with a story line to it that made it easy to watch so thanks for saying that! • @krs1905
      @krs1905 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SpencerJohnsonOfficial it’s coming from someone who has ADHD and I usually can’t make it through a 12 minute video without fast forwarding. You did a really good job with the video.
      I think Chase kept upping my credit line because I put $15k of spend on my Hyatt card to hit the bonus of 60k points. I didn’t realize that the WoH Business Card only takes $6k of spend to get 60k points bonus. I did get the 60k points and the free night from the $15k of spend. Now I’ll keep the card from an annual free night for the $95 AF.

    • @SpencerJohnsonOfficial
      @SpencerJohnsonOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@krs1905 That's great to hear man. Thanks again! And that makes a lot of sense. High spend = high credit limits! Let me know how you like the Hyatt business card! Considering that one has a $199 fee with no free night every year (without high spend) I haven't been able to justify it quite yet compared to the personal version.

With that being said you made me realize how much I was missing out on so I applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred for my first card and because of the 80k offer they had going on. MaxRewards is a great app, but can be a bit frustrating with the card account connectors, they have been having trouble with Chase, AMEX & Citi. Personally I have had to reset my Chase password 3-4 times in a day due to MaxRewards not connecting correctly... AGAIN, I do love the app when it works correctly and it's significantly better than any of the other similar apps out there, but it does have some issues. - ya i did something similar. I opened a citi thank you preferred card in the early 2000s. I had a $13k limit on it. But like a dummy i closed it because I thought the interest rate was too high! 🤦🏻‍♂️
      Obviously I was pretty ignorant about credit back then 😆

      @@docsays Like I said, mine was forgetting it was open, forgetting to put a small charge like a pack of gum to keep it open and pay it off immediately or through auto pay. Lesson learned. Now my oldest card is the freedom unlimited at age 41 opened 2 years ago on June 22, 2021. Never repeating that again. Putting a small charge, then pay it off along with the added protection of auto pay is your best friends.

    I also have the chase student currently. I want the Freedom Flex next - should I product change to the Flex or should I apply fresh to the Flex? If I product change, do I still get a welcome bonus to the Flex? If I product change, do I still only have one card under 5/24 or is it 2 now?

    • @sonokanda9436
      @sonokanda9436 ปีที่แล้ว

      You won’t be eligible for the Bonus offer if you do a product change. You can ask the bank if they’ll make an exception but usually it’s no. Product changes are not counted as a brand new card so you’ll still only have 1 credit card. It’s up to you to decide if you want the bonus or not.

    Also what was your total credit limit you have in your all all credit cards when you applied for this card ?

      Hi there! Good questions! My oldest card at the time of me applying for the Venture X was 2.5 years. My total credit limit at that time can be calculated by adding up my previous ones which you can find through this video, but I'd guess it was around $20k for my personal cards alone, not counting my Amex Gold card since it's a charge card. For your situation, I would focus on using the cards you have now for 6-12 months before adding a bunch more... especially one with a high annual fee like the Amex Gold. Hopefully that helps a bit!

      In the past I usually do this depending on the SUB I'm spending towards. My natural spend has gotten higher over time which helps with bonuses, but if I need that extra boost then I switch some of my subscriptions to my new cards to help.

    How do you transfer points from the Chase Ink card to your CSP?
    I have transferred points on the personal side and that is easy. Just opened a Chase sole prop checking account and letting that age before applying for an Ink card. I have a separate login for the business checking, and assuming the Ink card would be under the business login. How do you transfer from the business side to the personal CSP? Thanks!

    • @SpencerJohnsonOfficial

      You're able to transfer the points in exactly the same way you do the personal cards. You just have to link your business and personal accounts together by calling them (or finding that option online) and then they should all populate in your business account.
