I have found priority pass is most useful overseas. The large overseas airports often have multiple lounges one can go to and are usually as nice as the major airline lounges and often less crowded.
You learn something new every day. I never knew there were different access levels like this with different reward cards. I always thought my one PP membership was good for everything PP, well know I know...😊
why can't priority pass just print the partnering bank on the card? and allow binding multiple memberships to the same logins? it's so complicated for no reason
I have a bunch of Priority Pass Memberships with all my premium travel cards,.. the one I use is the PP membership from my beautiful Chase Ritz Carlton card.
I just brought a change to the card this year, and it’s my favourite card by far, especially since I can add unlimited authorised users, and can give out free Priority Pass to my family members
It’s probably still a good idea to bring 2. I had a lounge in Brussels where my Ritz-Carlton priority pass did NOT get me in but my Amex Platinum priority pass did.
Thanks for the data point. I said "may start with" for each issuer because I knew I wouldn't know all the combinations they have used / will use in the future.
Great video, Mark. I have multiple PPs. Didn’t know to sign in to individual PP accounts to check specifically. Guess I’ve been lucky (no problem getting in).
Mark i have a question. If I am correct, the policy for the Sapphire lounge is that Prority Pass members can only access the lounge once per calendar year. I currently have 3 Priority Pass memberships. Does this mean that I can visis the Sapphire lounge 3 times in a calendar year?
They all do and they get unlimited guests at SRL too. It's better than having the SR card except for the pop up lounges at races and sporting events that RC doesn't get access to
Thanks for a very good analysis Mark. This analysis is very important since it gives me the insight that not all lounge accesses are created equal, and they also vary by airports. Too bad I can't get to this info as I'm shopping for a travel card and don't have the access to the PP portal yet.
Currently in a fight with capital one and priority pass. My account didn't renew and they are both blaming each other. My authorized user pp membership did renew though
@ Thank you. When I search SMF/ Sacramento Int. Airport, Escape Lounges on both terminal A and B come up in search result but I thought I have to have Amex platinum to access them. Is this a new change for Venture X cardholders?
@ Thank you. When I search SMF/ Sacramento Int. Airport, Escape Lounges on both terminal A and B come up in search result but I thought I have to have Amex platinum to access them. Is this a new change for Venture X cardholders?
Yes, you can use the PP app at the airport, but you'll still need to log into your PP account in order for it to only show the lounges you can get into.
This is exactly the video the credit card community needed. Thank you! Truly looking like the citi prestige card is king when it comes to PP. Though I still have some questions in regards to citi’s prestige card such as do auth users get their own PP? Which would allow guests? The extensive breakdown was extremely well done. Liked and donated!
@ well unless you get there when they open you can’t even get into the centurion lounge which a priority pass lounge would help alleviate. I usually try to fly out of sfo because lounge access at lax sucks.
You said Amex PP card (one of the beg codes is 111) My Cap one card PP card begins with 111 Do you have any experience with Chase Infinite and United Club access and its Star Alliance access membership. I used in Germany last month. We will be flying to Manila thru Singapore next week. Which should i use in Singapore the PP lounge access or the Star Alliance lounges? I only care about lounge access. I'm not worried about the retail or eat options on cards you mentioned in this video. I really like your presentation of topics. Very good speaker. Thanks John D
Thanks for sharing your data point! I don't have experience with the United / Star Alliance lounge networks. Provided the lounges are of comparable quality, I'd personally use the lounge that was nearest to my gate. If they're both easily accessible, I'd then go to the one offering the best food / environment. Download the 'LoungeReview' app, I think you'll find it helpful 👍
@@MarkReese True, however, we may see a resurgence with the recent patent application for Citi Strata Lounge. Citi Strata Prestige.... It will be interesting to see
Haha this is such a waste of time. I wish they would just lower annual fees and get rid of this. I would rather not have to do so much work for a hit or miss lounge experience lol.

Super helpful info! With my Venture X I have all the lounge access that i want/need. Dont care about spas in airports. Im good with lounge access👍🏽🤩
Thanks for this deep dive!! I didn’t realize that each PP issuer had different levels or offers. Keep up the great videos, they’re so appreciated!!
Not your typical Credit Cards video!! Great content! Wish to see more something like that!
Thanks!
Thank you! 🥇
I believe the different cards also come with different guest benefits for the lounges.
Chase Sapphire Reserve card can see all 4 terminals
Great video Mark!! You have a remarkable way of clearly explaining every detail in a clear manner that is easy to understand.
I joined Priority Pass directly. No CC involved. 109 & 10 digits. Renews each year
You learn something new every day. I never knew there were different access levels like this with different reward cards. I always thought my one PP membership was good for everything PP, well know I know...😊
I sign the back of mine with the card name and date and default to the ritz card
My Chase Sapphire Reserve PP has only 14 digits. My number starts with “150”.
My Capital One Venture X Priority Pass starts with 113. Got it this past summer. Already used it twice. 😁

@@iTzDritte Oh wow, good to know 👍
Both of our PP cards via US Bank (Altitude Reserve and Altitude Go) start with 112.
I have a priority pass card from my amex platinum membership which starts with 112. You mention that only the cap one cards start with these numbers..
Thanks for the data point. I said "may start with" for each issuer because I knew I wouldn't know all the combinations they have used / will use in the future.
Awesome video, super helpful, appreciate your research into this, Priority Pass demystified 👍
My Priority Pass associated with my AMEX Platinum starts with 113.
My AMEX Plat PP membership number starts with 112.
Chase Sapphire Reserve card can see all 4 terminals, not just 3
Thanks!
Very well made video. Very easy to see the info I need. Thanks!
Great info except for the slide about which cards start with which numbers. My cap one starts with 111, and my Amex starts with 114
Us Bank no longer offers this card to new customers
Correct. We'll see if it comes back. This happened before, but it was only temporary.
Great video, Mark. I have multiple PPs. Didn’t know to sign in to individual PP accounts to check specifically. Guess I’ve been lucky (no problem getting in).
My Morgan Stanley platinum pp starts 105 with only 10 digits
I have the Venture X and it starts with 110 weirdly enough.
Thanks for the info + video!
I thought the Priority Pass lounge at SeaTac was pretty weak. Delta SkyClubs are so much better with so much more food.
Do you carry the card you're going to use, or just rely on the digital one?
I still carry the physical card in my bag in case the digital one has an issue / their system is down.
Citi Prestige start with 102

Correct about 1 PP visit per year. I don't know what happens if you have 3 separate PP memberships since I haven't tried it.
If I get authorized users on my Ritz Carlton card, do those Priority Pass people get into the sapphire lounge?
They all do and they get unlimited guests at SRL too. It's better than having the SR card except for the pop up lounges at races and sporting events that RC doesn't get access to
It's my understanding that the answer is yes, but I can't confirm myself as I haven't tried it.
Great info. Thank you! My Chase PP begins with 150
Interesting video. My CapOne starts with 108 and my US Bank starts with 110. 🙂
U don't need to bring ur physical card. Just use the app and present ur qr code.

I have the Amex Plat and my Priority Pass number begins with 105
Do we need to use a
different email to create a separate PP account for each CC?
no, you just need to create a different user name
No you can use the same email. The username needs to be different though.
My Amex PP starts with 103. Great info as per the usual.
My card with the Amex Plat starts with 108
Currently in a fight with capital one and priority pass. My account didn't renew and they are both blaming each other. My authorized user pp membership did renew though
Strange & frustrating. Hope they can get it resolved for you.
My Amex vx start 109
My venture x PP starts with 110
I have VX and my PP card starts with 111.
awesome! Thanks for this!!
You're welcome!
How can I change my last name at PP?
Call them.
Venture X user. Have 114
With Venture X, do you have to pay extra to access other lounges besides Capital One lounges?
No extra charge for Plaza Premium or Priority Pass.

@@louparel3394 - Different lounges may have different policies. Reservations may be different. There should be no fee for a standard walk-in.
This was helpful but how can I tell if the lounge includes free food and drinks? 🤔 🍺 🍗
When food & drinks are offered, they're nearly always free. An exception would be premium liquors.
Do you have to have a different email for each membership?
You can add + your email
No you can use the same email.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not able to comment on the Citi Prestige as I don't have the card anymore. Best to search the web.
Bank of America is the best for priority pass
I just wish priority pass would open a lounge at lax.
i think it would be too packed

nah. Plenty of other lounges there. EWR tho. One of the top 3 busy, it’s a wasteland for lounges.

Why does everyone forget to talk about the priority pass issued through Citi Prestige?
Bruh. Because few hold it. And most importantly it’s no longer offered.
It’s no longer available. For those lucky enough to have it just got to google the info these days.
I no longer discuss it because you cannot apply for it or product change into it.
