We start our episode with a brief breakdown of our annual DecoSummit, what it is, what kind of classes we offer, and why it is the most important educational conference of the year for custom apparel decorators. We then introduce you to our all-new Revel Duo DTF-1202TA. A member of our talented service team will give an up-close look at this printing powerhouse, including showing you all of the printer’s various components and explaining how the printer works.
After teaching you about our latest DTF printer, it’s time to start printing our designs. We’ll demonstrate how to use the Hosonsoft printing software that comes with our all-inclusive DTF printer package to set up your design and print hundreds of copies in a single run.
Once we demonstrate how to set up and print a design using Hosonsoft, you can watch the Revel Duo DTF-1202TA work its magic as it prints 122 designs in no time. Once we have all our designs printed, we’ll cut each one and transfer them onto our shirts using Ricoma’s auto-open flat heat press. I teach high school graphic design and I've been looking into adding a Ricoma embroidering machine to my classroom to give my students another method to output (and sell) their design work. I currently have a 4-color screen printing machine, white toner printer, various Ecotank printers, heat presses, etc., all to provide my students a variety of ways to output their work. A Ricoma would be a huge step up for my classes.

Question on the front and back pressing. I know that some put something in the shirt like a teflon sheet when pressing a second print on the shirt. I have the Luminaris 200. Can I do front and back of shirts like you're doing here the same way?
Yes , but when you do the second press you need to add a teflon on the bottom and top platen!
Is there another option for adhesive? We regularly use Ultra color max from Stahls. With those we press for 15 seconds instant hot peel and stack. No worries of peeling or second press needed. We are looking into a DTF printer for the shop but, looking for a one press application.

I bought your 20 needle embroidery machine a year ago and I am happy with it. I am so interested in your DTF machines. Is there a way I could get a shirt you made in XL with your machine so I can see the wearability and washability of it? Doesn't matter what the design is.

Make sure you wear an oxygen mask while using DTF you have no idea the VOC's you are inhaling, you really do not want to stick any DTF machine in a home you are sleeping in. These folks are showing machines in commercials areas, don't; believe me, check with your local fire departments.
the embroidery machines are not bad. but stay away from the printers. i bought the white toner printer bundle for almost 7k just to find out that it is a rebranded icolor 560 that I could get for half the price I paid. also the software that came with my printer is totally useless. and the icolor comes with prorip which is way better than the vividrip that ricoma is using. now my investment is just collecting dust in my garage but I still have to make the monthly payments.

@@antonioreynoso5828 Nothing against this poster, but people reading this should remember that this is one person's opinion based solely on their experience. I too purchased the white toner transfer printer bundle. Everything works great. Also, comparing the price of a bundle which includes multiple things, including live training, to the price of just a white toner printer isn't fair.
I was wondering how long it took. Can you do the same with your smaller printer Luninaris 200?

I recently buy this printer and have trouble with the roll. Is starts great, but when I print more than 2Feet of design it's start to move the paper to the side, and the design is ruined. What I do wrong and how do I fix it.

@@jmikefitness The entire process including pressing the t-shirt took around 4 hours with the help of our staff featured in the video.

Man, having 2 heat presses on is a waste of electricity. Press once and the stack them. And when done with the stack, change the timer and do the second press. Peel while the other is getting its second hit. I love the video though, nice heat presses

What if I only need one print?

I'm building a luxury brand and I want my design print quality to be top notch. I can't use screen printing because my designs are so complex so I'm confused how my designs should be printed. Can the design be printed twice for a better quality or something?
its pigment ink. vs plastisol ink. I find it to not be as durable, but the detail is second to none. So what does quality means to you ?
I will say supacolor has a best of both worlds going on but pricy.
@@wisemaester I want my shirt design to be durable with vibrant colors and not feel like plastic and cheap. I just discovered sim process screen printing but I'm not sure if it works on colored shirts.
@@cucumberwater6643 I use the Luminaris 200 white toner transfer printer. Durable vibrant colors. Doesn't feel plastic or cheap. However, one of the keys to making sure your finished product doesn't have that plastic feel is to use a t-seal finishing sheet. It helps incorporate the design into the fabric, giving it a better feel and making it last longer in washing.
Screen printing has the best quality and the sim process makes design options unlimited. Any major brand will use screenprinting and especially a luxury brand.
DTF for T-shirt in my opinion has the worst quality it feels like a big sticker on your shirt.

330 is too hot. I would press about 315 for 10 seconds.
