Now the printer + dryer finally make sense to me after being able to see it start to finish with no editing cuts. I was under the impression you have alot of wasted film when you want to get the prints off of the dryer but its really not that bad. I have a VG-540 I kind of want to replace with DTF
Thanks so much for this video. I just ordered the same machine you have from audley for all the same reasons you had and am waiting for it to get here. The language barrier is something I’m already struggling with for simple things but hoping it’ll get better. Can you tell me how many 220v I will need to run the printer and the heater? I asked them so I can have the line installed and ready for when it gets here but they didn’t seem to get what I was asking (or maybe they did I’m honestly not sure). But I wasn’t sure if it only had one 220v for both machines or i would need two or even more outlets. Having to pay an electrician I would like to have it all done at once. Thanks so much !!
I would Definitely Recommend that you Press the shirt first prior to pressing the DTF transfer. This will remove the moister from the shirts. If you do not prepress the shirts at times you will be small spots on the transfer from the moister.
@@ColDesiColman Sometimes you can get away with it, but then occasionally it comes back with avenges. Moisture in the Garment and Humidity in the room play a big role. @@Ricks2Cents great, so now we're talking about being as inefficient as DTG with the pre-print solution soaking...looks like DTF lost its competitive edge over DTG...
@@Fredsta4christ I was a Long Time DTG Fan because the High Resolution Print Quality!!! However the Truth is for a Production Shop DTF wins every time no competition. The Only way you can compete is if you had a Epson F3070, however most people have Desktop size Epson F2100’s.
@Ricks2Cents which DTF printer would you recommend for a small start at home tshirt shop? I want to print my own stuff because printer places have lost their minds with markups and print on demand is a scam on margin.

Great questions we recommend you chat with one of our pros at digitalheatfx.com/digitalheat-fx-12h2-direct-to-film-printer/ as we suspect the answers will lead to more great questions.
Yes for DTF Transfers we use a heavy pressure around 8 on the Hotronix Fusion. And we used standard finishing sheets for this just like we use with the DigitalHeat FX 9541
Hey Patrick! The rainbow line is the printer nozzle/color check. You will learn about machine startup maintenance in your training when you purchase our equipment.
Hello, I just saw videos where they say that dust that sticks to the design can cause cancer. What procedures should be in place to prevent this dust from spreading throughout the work area?
There are many brands of glue and you should consult SDS documents for safety rather than just social media videos. We have documentation for all our brands of glue. Saying that, extractors and air purifiers are great for all industrial businesses when particulate can get in the air.
HELLO, ALL RIGHT, I FIND YOUR OVEN VERY INTERESTING, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE MATERIAL IS REFILLED, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS ALTOMATIC OR MAUNUAL?
Hi Sushil. We have several videos on our channel of the condensed process, but this video is for those who want to fully understand and see the time requirements of a production run.
There are two types of DTF printing. One is specific for hard surfaces and another specific for textiles. The adhesive and ink are very different. You can find both printers at coldesi.com
Few things to touch on - (11:02) film got stuck and buckled instead of feeding through. You opened the shaker cover and pulled the film down so it wouldn’t buckle up and lose the print. You didn’t speak a word on that in the video. This could be the belt speed is not fast enough or the film has a nasty habit of getting stuck while traveling into the shaker unit. Also, your edge guards are not on the film, but off to the sides. Not sure if the media skewed going into the printer or if they were just left that way. Side notes - no videos on maintainence or servicing the equipment. No videos on safety or exhausting the fumes from the curing unit. Hot melt powder is toxic when heated up to those high temps. Transparency is important.
Hi John! We discuss adjusting the film earlier in the video at around the 7:28 mark. Don explains that this can happen occasionally if your belt speed is not on point. Also, we discuss maintenance and exhaust units in several of our DTF comparison videos. We also offer full training and support for all our equipment that teaches about maintenance procedures. Also in the sales process, we explain the exhaust units importance more thoroughly. We have been in the industry for 20+ years now selling customization equipment and supplies and are extremely transparent about ever piece of machinery we offer. But thanks for watching!
Good eye - it was an easy fix to choke the white a bit, but we were done with the video before we noticed! Happy to send you a sample of the better print

Neat idea for take up roller set up: V-Cut material with point being closest to leading edge, tape in center, let the roller do the rest.

Great comment. The transfer will adhere great either way, we often recommend a pre press for the reasons you mention, but we often demo many ways.
