Great job on the video! We had fun watching this install and grabbing some clips. Not sorry that we missed the daring plunge. 🥶 Thanks for the invite and call us anytime you're looking to move some more ground water. Enjoy your new pond.
Thanks for helping on this project! You can come back next summer for a warm dip instead! Oh, and I enjoyed your video too! th-cam.com/video/lT0Q1E4TsNI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3azd3qMtrf07At8S
Hey @flintandwalling - very cool of you to support a local creator with sponsorship, Neil has a growing group of followers who appreciate his recommendations, hope you see returns on this investment soon. And Neil, a November plunge is something your girls will never forget, well done!
That's awesome! It's great to see American made products like this. I am definitely searching you out the next pump I have to buy! And since I have a lot of properties with wells that won't be to long! LOL
No joke. I've spent the last year and a half watching the 5 Acre Pond channel and I'm glad this one started right about the time that one was "finished"
Holding those girls hands and jumping into that pond is something you guys will NEVER forget. The pond process was worth it just for that IMO. Congratulations
My husband and I helped replace my son-in-law's deep well. His pump is 221 feet down. We had to pull the pipe out and down through their yard. We had the help of his neighbor who replaces these pumps regularly. He said the pumps usually last about 10 years. It was quite an experience. So glad you were able to get the needed water in your pond.
How enjoyable this episode was. So positive. The end was the best. I started on this journey with you because I had been watching other channels building ponds- but yours was different & you’re totally different in a positive way. I stayed on & eventually watched every episode. I love the eclecticism of your channel. Family, friends, local businesses & your town all immersed & intertwined in every show. Thanks , you got a follower of your channel as long as you want to keep making it.
Very nice n neat pond Neil, although i muted the screams which i bet occured . Rather your ears than mine . Hope you guys have a lifetime of fun in and around it .
This project deserves my first ever comment under a YT video. What an amazing project and what memories you made and will make. "Extremely cool dude award" awarded! Enjoy it!
That gave me shivers!!! It was Cool!!! Or should I say, “Frigid?” Glad you got it filled before freezing. You’ll have no excuse for staying inside once it freezes over thick enough to Ice Skate! That instant of 98.6 meets fifty degrees has a way of etching its way into your soul. I know that for a fact… I’ve filled a few pools in my past. Those girls will remember their first Polar Plunge forever. Having done it with dad will endear the moment into their hearts as well. Nice job Neil, you are rightfully proud.
Thanks so much Dave! I know I'm not gonna forget it. To be honest it was a bit invigorating with the mindset that it was intentional. I still don't see it becoming a habit however. Thanks as always and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
The joy of seeing a great American father’s love for making happy memories with his children. Keep up the great work and love your video’s. Thank you for sharing. Blessing’s to you and all your family and friends that have been apart of it.
Neil, I don't know you, or even your family. I am pretty sure I could find Indiana (I live in Ohio), but, when it is all said and done, I am HAPPY for you and your family, and you have JUST made my day! Congrats!
What a fascinating project you've undertaken there. That is going to be so much fun in the summer. Have you thought of maybe heating it with a couple of homemade solar water panels and a small pump?
Congratulations on the pond build. I'm sure you will be counting the days until summer. We start swimming around Easter, but I think you will most likely have to wait a little longer.
What a great series! From start to finish and how much fun is that shot of the polar plunge?!? Your girls will look back at that and laugh! Great job as always Neil 😁👍
I started watching this summer as I want to dig a pond at my house, shocked to see the guys who installed my well pump show up to drill yours. Nice guys lol small world
Wonderful episode/milestone that pre-polar plunge will be a memory frozen in Pond Folklore. Now the only question is will this plunge be an annual event 😂. All your questions enhances the full picture, bringing human knowledge and skills development from the Operators horning the tricks of the trade and Loving what they do. The pond is still a blank slate ready for development incorporating Vision and the Love of Family. 😀👍👍👍
I’m sure this project has resulted in a well deserved bump in viewers if your channel. So satisfying to watch every step of this project. It’s like the Colin Furz tunnel build
Watching that timelapse of the fill was so rewarding. Congrats on the new pond guys. The pump on my swimming pool here in California went bad some years back and I never had the time to deal with it, so my 9' deep swimming pool ended up becoming a pond. Now I just keep fish in there to keep the mosquitos out. Haha.
One of the things I appreciate about content like this is that it increases my general knowledge, while also being entertaining and interesting. I may not ever need to know the ins and outs of building a backyard pond. But I gained some knowledge oh how a well is installed. I can easily see where I might need to talk to a well contractor about a dying well pump. Having some knowledge of how they work will help me have a competent conversation and know what to expect for repairs.
I find myself living the American dream vicariously through your videos ! You did an amazing job Felicidades señor Y que Dios lo bendiga A usted y su familia
Great video. The pond looks great. So much better than another guy on you tube. Shows alot of planning and experience and hard work. Great job. It will be nice for your family
Thank you so much for sharing in the great feeling of seeing the well finished for now and the pond full. It was an incredible and educational journey and I am so thankful you took us along with you. Great shot with the combine working the corn harvest. Neil your ability to compile a great narrative visually is exceptional and it has been great seeing how that has improved over the years. Thank you so much!
Congratulations, my friend. I smiled from ear to ear throughout this entire video. The excitement of the girls came shinning through in the video. - BTW- Happy holidays 🎅🏾 🌲 🤶🏽 🦃
As many have already said this was a great series. I look forward to more videos on how you keep it looking so nice. Also, you sure seem to have a great family.
Neil, when I seen that water flowing from the well, into the pond, I think I was as happy as your daughters, and now you have a backup well if you have any trouble in the future. It`s absolutely gorgeous with the surrounding cement work and the giant pier you had poured. Airation, me I gotta put some sort of foutain in it, just to hear that water runnig, what a great place to share with family, or just take a nap or read a book, running water just has a calming effect. The done shots are beautiful, it neat, clean and finished looking, not just a hole dug in the ground. The look on your daughters faces after the plunge, PRICELESS, well done sir.
I love seeing how things like the well and pump install happen. It’s so cool that your dad can help you with the electrical stuff! I can’t believe that you 3 jumped in on a cold November day! 🥶 😊
All right just can't imagine who is more blessed in this family is it the husband the wife the kids they're all blessed they're all blessed to have each other and to show the support and to have what they have it's beautiful I wish you many blessings in this place
Thanks for sharing, my family in LA enjoyed watching! Such a different life than ours and the pond looks amazing. Great family, nice narration, will keep watching for the reunion.
Nothing but a big smile on my face! I've loved the progression and I'll be sticking around for a long time coming. You've inspired me to think about doing my own pond someday. You are truly living your best life with your family and it's amazing to see!
Holy snickerdoodle!! Thank you so much for the heartwarming and educational content. I love your family friendly tone; your values really shine through. That is an awesome finish to the pond, looks fantastic and fun, enjoy, I know I enjoyed watching it develop over a period of time, thanks for the update sir, Happy thanksgiving to you all.
Thank you for showing this; this gives me an idea what the well we had in our last few years at our cabin was like. As it was, we never had trouble with it freezing, as Dad at least made sure the shed was weatherproof. Wow Neil! It really turned out awesome! Thanks for sharing this reveal with us. I can only imagine that you and your family will be chomping at the bit for next summer to get here. Congrats.
I just came across your channel and I am so glad I did…. I find it is sooo interesting and I do want to say it’s a BEAUTIFUL PROJECT for you and your family…. I can’t believe how many comments about you being RICH or several other RUDE comments… All I can say You work HARD and you have a BEAUTIFUL FAMILY…MANY BLESSINGS and keep your projects FLOWING….LOVE YOUR CHANNEL 🤗❤️🤗
Hey Neil, your place looks great! I have a similar situation with my pond (about the same size) I have all my barn downspouts and my whole paved driveway draining into it and it still goes down 6" a month in a dry summer like this one. This weekend I have a couple guys direct boring 600' of 3" poly line to the creek in the back of my property (never dries up) and I can pump either way depending weather the water is high or low. we'll see!
Brilliant, I've been looking forward to this for ages, as you have. You're going to have some great summers playing in that pond and no doubt some great video footage to show us.
Looks good! Congratulations on getting it full. Feels good from my end to see you and your family reach that goal, I can only imagine how you all must feel. Have to say you are your daughters are braver than I though. I'm with your wife's train of thought and waiting until next summer before I'd have taking that first plunge.
You’re a good Dad. I have two daughters as well. The more they watch you do things and learn, the less dependent they will be when they are adults. Ask your dad teach them to change a light switch and an outlet. It will come in handy.
I was anxious waiting to see pond being filled...so can imagine how much more you all wanted it filled. Laughed at youngest girl hurting to get out...but she did go in with you so kudos to her. Also to you and oldest. I am with mom and would have waited for summer.
I'm just... Proud! I'm proud how you addressed initial criticism (even trolls) way back and actually used it as fuel and content! Thank you for showing this; this gives me an idea what the well we had in our last few years at our cabin was like.
