I've put lots of custom made maps, details and links to locations in this video on my website which I will link here and in the description. Have you guys ever been to Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend, or the Grand Canyon? Let me know below 👇🏻motoblade.co/destinations
Brought two of them with me on the trip- had already worn them by this point and they were in the dirty laundry bag in the trunk. Thought about it when I got to Grand Canyon that night 😂
Good point. I was going to say something similar! Also…never ride without gloves. And stash a piece of 1x4 to put under the kickstand. I’ve had asphalt melt away and dump my KZ.
@billzielke6798 I saw a guy who somehow attached a piece of paracord to a hockey puck for his kickstand. He could put it down and pick it up without having to bend over to pick it up
I miss being out there already! It was a spectacular place. I can't wait to go back. I also want to spend more time in Zion National Park (where my next video will be!). Beautiful part of the country.
I live in Prescott Arizona (yep, the Earps and Doc H. lived here for a while. Virgil Earp owned the sawmill at Thumb Butte) and while it doesn't get as hot as Phoenix, it still gets hot and DRY! However, as hot as it gets I still wear mesh jacket and pants in case of a crash. I don't want to lose my skin on the road AND the sun will burn your hide off! I noticed you looked a little pinker than usual! ATGATT! All The Gear All The Time!
Great video, dude. Perfect edit. I love the amount of video just seeing the road in front if you as you ride, perfectly sprinkled in with some views off to the side. Sweet commentary. Thanks for letting me tag along on you trip brother, much appreciated.
Thank you! I tried to throw in some more “riding” with and without music because it was requested by you guys on previous videos. Next up in this series is Zion and Bryce National Parks - then Yellowstone!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video. I do a lot of test ride reviews on new bikes, but I enjoy these videos riding around the country the most. If you haven’t already seen it, I recently released a video of my ride down Route 66, as well as Sturgis 2024. Next video in this series from my trip around the country will be Zion and Bryce National Parks, then Yellowstone! Thanks again for watching and subscribing, welcome and ride safe brother ✌🏻
I've done the monument valley trip on my Triumph Tiger a couple times. I remember putting my helmet on, and it's like putting a cold wet sponge on. I live in Safford, just head straight up hwy 191, and keep going
I just kept soaking the inside liner of my helmet, my shirt, and my pants. Evaporation felt nice for about 10 mins then it was all gone because it was just so incredibly dry. Beautiful part of the country. Can’t wait to visit again!
Cool video; as an Arizona native (born in Flagstaff); I found this very pleasant to watch. And, yes, viewing the Grand Canyon seen in person is truly amazing.👍🏻🫡
Way better than I could have imagined. You see pictures of it your whole life but that just doesn't prepare you for the absolute scale of how massive it is. So cool. Glad I got to come out to your neck of the woods and see it 😎✌🏻
Planning on doing a trip out west in about a year. Just starting to collecting info. Your channel is a good place to start. Want to see the grand canyon.
@@DeelzridesandAdventures the west is awesome man! You gotta go ride it. The next video in this series is possibly my favorite - Zion and Bryce National Parks. Particularly Zion National Park was amazing to ride through
Well shit! You just popped up on my feed. Looks like you and I have a hell of a lot in common! I love that you posted just about everything including where to get all your gear! Right on!!! I’ve been wanting to do your ride through KPGA and Monument Valley. Hopefully soon. Johnny just traded in his Ultra Limited for an Indian Challenger Dark Horse (for a good reason) and I ride with the same boots you do. Keep the shiny side up!
That’s awesome! Glad to hear from another CFI on here. We share the same trauma of students trying to take us out 😂 Jealous of the Indian Challenger DH brother. If I was ever going to trade in Chief Slapahoe, that’s the bike I would do it for. What part of the country do you fly in? I’m based in the northeast.
but it's a dry heat... spectacular video again! big difference from the south rim approach, will definitely have to do the north rim next time we visit. looking forward to the next installment :D
Chief Slapahoe never broke a sweat, I sure did though 😅 Never got an oil temp light, didn't burn any oil, just pressed on like an absolute champ. Indian Motorcycles are the best of the best! Next up in this series is Zion and Bryce - Zion was perhaps my favorite National Park of the whole trip. After that - Grand Teton and Yellowstone! After Yellowstone, the most dangerous road in America - The Beartooth Highway. Oh, AND I just finished one of the most beautiful videos I have ever filmed, which will be released next Sunday - Motocamping in the Vermont Fall Foliage. Waterfalls, single lane notch roads, campfires… I've been sitting in the home office all day and I'm on an editing roll! How am I going to top that you ask? You'll see 😎✌🏻
@@kelvinknaff9903 Booked it about 3 weeks out from my arrival date. North rim doesn’t seem to fill up as fast as the south rim. Takes more effort to get there but well worth it in my opinion. I enjoyed the stay in their camp hotel there very much.
@@kelvinknaff9903 I wasn't sure if I was going to even be able to make the trip so I made a last minute choice to book it. Only had 2 left when I booked, so I got lucky, was also only for 1 night, on a weekday.
Motorcycles not allowed? That's too bad. Motorcycle ride, in sunset, through Monument Valley was the only thing I wanted to go to USA for. / If those were little bison, how big are the big ones? 😆
Very, VERY big 🦬 Monument valley is red sand. No traction for the bike. You can take a tour in a 4x4 through it and you can drive around the area of it. But the dedicated valley tour requires four wheeled drive. I doubt they would allow an ADV bike through it, but that would be all you could take in there with a chance of keeping it upright.

Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it. I will have to try the south rim next time, as I have never been there. I was headed north after this so the north rim made a lot more sense. Saved a whole day of riding just to get around the canyon then. If I had more time I would see it all!
