    Thank you for taking the time to make this video 😊 To answer some of your questions, we will most definitely be adding to the range with new colours as well as some brighter colours for both the Primary and Secondary colours. We are also glad that you enjoyed using the paints and we welcome the useful critique. Cheers, Dunc and Rog 😊

      Will the new bottles match the rough Army Painter and Vallejo bottle dimensions? It's relevant to my travel storage system designed for that type of bottle.

    • @BDECornFlake
      @BDECornFlake 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dlh567 These look to be the same bottles as Humbrol's acrylic droppers and if you google them you will find a forum thread where someone has them in their vallejo paint rack. They will fit in them but it may not be quite as tight as AP/vallejo/scale/AK 3rd gen/etc bottles. They are shorter so vertical racks where the paints are stored horizontal may or not being great depending on the depth of the rack.
      I'm not sure if the actual manufacturer is Humbrol who has had some problems in the past with their acrylic lines but I did hear something about maybe the current Humbrol line being manufactured by HMG which would clear up any concerns.

    Came from goobertown, another awesome review here. Glad you got so much time to work with them and glad you took the time to do so for us.
    I didn't back the Kickstarter, as still new enough I didn't want to buy a massive paint set, and have the colors I need. I think the wash is weird, but an interesting idea and definitely tries to be more than just what it is. The missing blues are a little sad, but I guess they had to pick somewhere to not have considering there are only so many in the first line. They have green, so I'm happy.

I decided to take up your channel's philosophy and have been picking up eBay models from the Dark Vengeance box set that has been released multiple times since 2014. They still do, they just aren't labeled that way. They have Base paints and layer paints labeled so you know where to start and where to go after that, but generally more than 3 colors to a set so you have some variety. It's not super different, they just simplified it with 3 colors to start here.

    I am really excited to get my set soon, it is the first massive paint set I'll be both backing and buying. I expect a few misses with the line, but I also think the company will be able to fill that space with both future corrections and when they enlarge the paint line. Super hyped for the triads, but I also temper that with how much I enjoy certain contrasts and washes. Vibrants and technicals are things I hope will be down the road as well. The wash/contrast droppers will certainly be interesting on how to utilize them. Man, I want my paints even more now. 🤗🤗

    • @eBayMiniatureRescues
      @eBayMiniatureRescues  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably a little bit of both. Reds are hard to capture on video, but they are pretty bright in person. The brightness and difference in models was so we could go extreme in both directions, kind of comic bright on one end and more grim on the other. Some of the colors are just kind of desaturated, so they look bland. • @eBayMiniatureRescues

      White acrylic ink has a much smoother finish and is way easier to spray out of an airbrush. But you can still use a primer or regular white paint if that’s what you have, it just may be a little speckled around the edges.

      You’re not wrong, this initial set has a few bright color choices, the reds, greens, and purples really stand out to me, but for the most part this is a very natural looking paint set with a lot of desaturated tones. That being said, this line will be expanding very soon and bring in those brighter fantasy colors.

    It does not matter if they are not sold on Amazon. Could not find a way to buy them.

      The second wave is going out now I think, but there are lots of stores and online shops that sell them. They are definitely worth checking out if you like collecting paint, but finding them is certainly not as easy as other brands.

    8:15 I am thinking, why are the labels printed backwards? Oh, he held both sets of 3 in his left hand for filming and then flipped one in post production.
    Thanks for the video, nice to see the new paint in action.

    Biggest turnoff when it comes to these paints for me is the bottle/label design. Doesn't seem like aesthetic was even a consideration -- which, I know I'm not supposed to judge a book by its cover... but frankly it gives me a sour taste in my mouth and is a sizable turnoff.

      Good news then! These are pre production designs and I’ve been told is not at all what the final bottles will look like.

    Am I the only one who can't stand GW painting tutorials since Duncan left? They avoid his catchphrase like the plague and talk about getting their brushes to a nice thin point, then proceed to smash the brush all over the model not actually using their 'nice thin point'. They must know that they're producing dross content as comments are blocked.
