I've found that the third settlement, where you went around them, can be done easily as a direct fight. Instead of attacking the settlement, attack the lone guy recruiting outide. When the battle starts, all their reinforcements will come from the side. Use your cavalry to occupy the lone lord while your main army just moves up to where they spawn and kill them as they arrive.
Jep thats how I also easy win such battles but I would say thats something not everyone could do and you need to be good at it because you want the next settlement fast so casualties are not an option
I actually just killed the lord quickly to get Kostaltyn tons of EXP without killing the whole enemy army, then we got exp again when we beat them for real. New lvl system is great to get strong early by taking big fights.
@@RustingPeace you can't take the settlement to the east it's just too risky I have made like 3 campaigns trying to fight the druzhina from the north she always got confederate by Katarina... And you loose erengrad
You can also just corner camp in the corner which is furthest away from where they spawn. What happens is that all their archers stack up, so when you then charge them your polar bear will get hundreds of kills and they won't really be able to shoot.
The campaign got harder now with three out of 4 new chaos legendary lords dropped into areas around you. I'm currently stuck because I went to war with the skaven rather than with Kislev, so now I'm very stretched north-south, and two lords aren't enough to cover that much ground, getting my cities repeatedly taken by chaos.
Invoking really helps get you those supporters. I'm only playing on Normal mode but I chose to ignore the armies of Kislev and just go north with Kostaltyn. Taking on chaos forces will win you the hearts of the Kislev people and they will all be a lot easier to confederate.
I'd agree, but I'd say that's more so due to having a worse financial base area. However both are Uber hard in comparison to Boris. Though with the Chaos Dwarves coming that may change.
yeah, i had more trouble getting up to speed with Kataryn campaign too. once you got 3 patriarchs decently leveled up with Kostaltyn you're pretty much set. 20% ward save FTW. oh and booting demons of chaos early is a must.
I have to say that war with kislev factions is bad choice. A frost maiden early is a must. You should go north, fight Chaos and Norsca, then you can allied kislevs minor factions, confederate them and dont have to fight 2 or 3 fronts. Build a doom stack of 8 or 10 bear patriarch, then destroy everything.
Took forever to win this on Very Hard. For me, after taking Fort Straghov, I went straight to the Sea->Took out Chaos Undivided->Back to the Sea->Went straight for Skrag. Used Northern Grey+ Southern Grey Mountains as my base, and Empire Factions provided a buffer zone vs Chaos which overran Kislev proper. Had a lot of fun, but became overwhelmed with all the enemies mid-late campaign. Good to know via your video there is another viable alternative! As always thank you for the content! Kostaltyn was the first one I picked back in the Realm of Chaos days. He's fairly strong. I went for no spellcasters because he doesn't like them. Only patriarchs.

@@5thbulletofjhin333 the narrative campaign we have rn is simple. I just don't leave my home province and defend it with one army while Kos is in hell until I confederate ice court. By then my neighbors were spread so thin I rolled through them. I don't use auto resolve tho I fight every battle. I been playing total war since the first one, Shogun, came out when I was like 10 so maybe it's just me but I have no problems with kostaltyn tzarina Katerine is harder imho.
You can also just win by Domination (very hard/very hard)turn 160 and i only have goldtooth and northern provinces left
Don't care until ME is released.
I disbanded the bear after the first battle, too damn expensive, could barely afford a full stack even with out it
The issue with the bear is that they’re really garbage
I'll save you 15 min
You use mods and God mode
No crying about rifts or WH3, this is a guide for people who have the goal and will to win the game.
Honesy I don't think wh3 is hard. Way less than wh2 at least and that is a pity. This campaign on legendary only took me one try to get it steam rolling, while for campaigns like imrik or morathi I stopt counting the failed attempts.
As a Khorne player who only take the sledgehammer approach I dont understand the concept of waiting a turn if you could demolish something instead. Closing rifts? What that a free ticket to smash some different people and sack them :D
Mmmmm.....Monkeys.
why would you want to though?
Me - new player - Karl Franz 😂😂😂 I cannot with this campaign I have spent a lot of time losing repeatedly. Is the first one 🥲
