same. I wonder what the kid and her father in the seat next to me thought of this grown woman crying through the whole film! (I then called my mother at the end)
A reason for being a sequel movie is that the wild robot movie is based off of the first book and there are 3 books. And yes, the second does go more into the human society.
It is what it is, and it's probably great (haven't had a chance to see it yet!)... But I still long for a timeline where Wall-E was mostly silent. Like, the first third or so is my favorite part and has a great vibe, and I think the humans change the vibe a lot, even though I do like where they went with it.
I feel like you missed the point of this argument, people were expecting it to be a silent movie because probably 75% of the first trailer viewers (including myself) didn't read the original book and that the first trailer had little to almost no dialogue.
To be fair, an in-universe explanation is provided as to why the animals "talk", as they're technically still just making animal noises but Roz's long deciphering session is translating them rapidly. So in the viewpoint of any non-animal character who isn't Roz, she's making various animal noises in response to animals making animal noises.
I don't understand why people wanted this movie to be silent. It is very, very hard to do something like that well. This is one of my all-time favorite animated movies. Dreamworks knocked it out of the park once again. This, Transformers One, and Inside Out 2 are easily the best movies of the past two years.
Honestly, the movie being silent would’ve been so boring. People need to be careful what they wish for if it was silent, I think I would’ve liked it a lot less I think the characters talking helps drive the story that’s why I kind of found Wall-e a little bit boring in the first half I love when characters talk and express themselves in an entertaining meaningful way that drive the story and this movie did exactly that pure silence in these types of movies doesn’t always work in these types of movies And if this movie was silent, like no dialogue at all, I think this movie wouldn’t have been as entertaining as it is I mean, yeah you could have some non-dialogue moments, but people wanted the whole movie to be silent, which is ridiculous😂😂😂😂
@@Tylermiller778 I totally agree. People act like Wall-E is completely silent, when it's not. I really like the first 30 minutes of Wall-E, but it wouldn't have worked as an entirely silent film.
Didn't get this point either. I think he stands pretty alone on that opinion that being a silent movie would add to its charme. It would erase so much of what they actually could show and how they were able to touch our hearts so immersively.
One thing i really like and somehow not hear a lot of people talk about is how Dreamworks gave Roz so much emotion with the only moving parts of the face are the Eyelids.
I know right! Gotta say character designer cooked and it's not appreciated enough. The way emotions are expressed is phenomenal despite the most that Roz does is squinting her eyes.
Well as an animator I disagree with you on that. The eyes are the primary way to display emotion and the designers utilized a camera like quality with a pixel screen behind them to show movement, and an aperture as well as the upper and lower “eye lids.” The colors of the lights and body posture also provide some emotional feedback.
@@ParagonAnimationsStudio You disagree on what exactly? As a Viewer I just noticed while watching the film that they did great on showing emotions with just the eyes of a Robot. and Add on the Body movement and Colors. It sends the feeling pretty well.
My mom didn't Like Roz's choice to go to the humans in the ending... But I think that was kindof the best choice she could have possibly made. Not just to protect the animals, tho that is clearly an important aspect of it. But she's clearly rapidly deteriorating by the end of the film and probably would have completely broken down within a few months at the longest if she stayed. And really, the movie wouldn't have been nearly as good if they omitted any of the points where she takes serious damage. Sure there'd be merit in her making the decision to stay instead, assuming the humans never showed up to take her again. Choosing to spend a guaranteed last few months of her life with her son instead of risking the chance of not being able to return within the rest of his lifespan if at all. But the decision she did make in the movie also has a greater good aspect to it. Sure she might not be able to return before Brightbill dies of old age. And that's of course deeply sad if that happened. But Brightbill isn't the only reason she needs to continue operating. She knows thanks to the snow storm that many, many animals on the island would have died without her. Having the chance to return to the island fully operational means she can protect many more lives than she would be able to otherwise. Maybe even convince the humans to send out more units to protect wildlife after seeing her memories. People are severely downplaying all the ramifications of this decision and what it means for Roz and all the animals.
In the book (spoilers kinda here) but Roz actually loses all her limbs in a explosion. So all the animals carry her to the ship and just let her leave so she can get repaired.
@@ThatButton592oh that would have been interesting if they put that in the movie and showed her going to humans that way for us to get number 2 coming now but I do like how they kept it cleaner and much better for the kids in that case and not be to vulgar I would say with that explosion overall one great movie and I thought I was gonna be just … ok and it was far from that ❤
I think the fact that the robots pull guns on the geese is meant to represent how they are programmed to shoot anything that isn’t there master a.k.a. human, but never encountering human animals her master/friends
None of the robots of Roz's model ever pull out weapons nor cause direct harm even to the intruder animals: they simply alert the other security/military models that are armed. It's stated several times that they're programmed to be incapable of causing harm, but that rule doesn't apply to other models that are made specifically for the purpose of causing harm.
tbh that took me out of the movie for a bit because I was more like "Why put robots with guns in a farm? That just creates more damages if the lazers miss." and I was thinking more about the damages that'll cause on the farm. Still made me cry tho. 10/10 would play on loop.
The perfect masterpiece to send off in-house productions at DreamWorks. The cast and characters are perfect, it's not afraid to show nature being as cruel as it is beautiful, and the emotional beats hit so hard. I love Fink's character development and the scene where Brightbill leaves on migration and Roz catches his feather makes me tear up every time.
Took my daughter to see this and bawled my eyes out twice. Absolutely devastatingly beautiful. I am afraid of the fact that a sequel has already been greenlit, since this on its own did such a good job of adapting most of the first two (of three) books, but this film absolutely blew me away. If you are considering giving it a watch, don't hesitate.
Why does everyone keep saying that the movie adapted book 2? 99% of the movie is pure book 1. The only scene I can think of from book 2 is at the very end and is used to sneak in a slight positive turn for the ending (since they couldn't have been sure they'd get a sequel).
I hate it when people say this movie should be silent read the book before you judge the movie fully. In the book one of the themes is communication is key so the movie should have them talk.
I feel like you missed the point of this argument, people were expecting it to be a silent movie because probably 75% of the first trailer viewers (including myself) didn't read the original book or probably didn't even KNOW the book existed, and that the first trailer had little to almost no dialogue.
I too was hesitant with the talking animals, but after watching the movie and it’s become one of my favorite movies of all time, I found and read the book and, talking animals IS IN THE BOOK, and done in the same relative way. Speaking of which, the movie actually does a better job of adapting to the books then I expected
@@hedgehoggamer2188As someone who has seen how much if a joke awards can be at the gaming industry, I honestly do not care about them. All that matters is if the movie is good, and it sees the success it deserves.
The thing about DreamWorks is that if they make a bad movie, it’s the worst freaking thing in existence, but if it’s a good movie, it’s a damn masterpiece, which defines the Wild Robot.
This is not only an amazing swan song for Dreamworks in house animation projects, this is a phenomenal film to celebrate dreamworks animation 30th anniversary. A beautiful story, awe inspiring animation, and very relatable and memorable characters. What Wall-E is to pixar is what the wild robot is for Dreamworks animation. 9.6/10
You know what else you should watch? Transformers One! A fully animated movie on Cybertron, which takes a look at the origin…where they could have built the future together.
Yeah no sorry.... the voice acting was top notch. Lupita made me adore Roz. And when she said she loved brightbill my heart exploded. The part when she jumps out of the ship too with the flames behind her and kris bower's score... omg chills. It was on parr if not better than the Ride of the Rohirrim scene.
actually in the books Roz was revealed to be designed to work on farms and work with animals along with her language pick up feature is how she learned the animal language they won’t ever be able to touch on this in the movie or if they ever have a sequel though
You know what else you should watch? Transformers One! A fully animated movie on Cybertron, which takes a look at the origin…where they could have built the future together.
I really hate when people criticize the fact that the animals talk. It was a big part of the book and Roz wouldn’t really work if she didn’t learn the animals language. I love how confused the other robots were when Roz would talk to other animals in the books.
Something I really like is how the scenes that take place in nature have dynamic lighting of all different colors with a painterly style, but the human city is lit with flat, white light and is blocky and inorganic.
Can we also talk about the progression of Roz, started off clean and It was so amazing to see the progression of the dirtiness and grass ect. I love It. I love Roz's movements, every little movement and secret compartments and stuff Is genuinely amazing.
the ROZ model robots are helper bots as stated in the movie, not meant to hurt only help with production, the other ones that go to collect roz and that have guns on the farm are called RECO bots or reconnaissance robots. The ones with guns are in the same line up as the floating alien looking model.
my guess is that the corporation that is creating the robots just say that they’ll never hurt anybody as a way to pretend the company is a lot friendlier than it really is
The ROZ units are for domestic families and farm work. Giving them the capacity for harm is counterproductive to their function. Besides, universal dynamics employs murder robots on a farm, not exactly subtle
I believe Dreamworks gave a really good "in-lore" explanation of why the Wild Robot could speak to every animal. She spent month, maybe a year, learning their dialects. And I think that's a great trope that is not too ofter used. Normally, animals speak because "yeah, we're not gonna groan for one and a half hours having Pedro Pascal for the voice", but here it's given a reason to why everyone "speaks".
I swear The Wild Robot & Transformers One 2 best animated movies of 2024. Inside Out 2 is good but the amount of safety nets/redundancy from first movies story beat. Pulls down film for being.
You know what you should watch instead? Transformers One! A fully animated movie on Cybertron, which takes a look at the origin…where they could have built the future together.
The sequel is actually needed. I have read the books long before the movie came out. The first Wild robot book was a cliffhanger The wild robot escapes is actually a sequel you need to read to understand the story.
You know what is beyond excellent? Transformers One! A fully animated movie on Cybertron, which takes a look at the origin…where they could have built the future together.
The most intriguing thing to me is what we don't see. Like it felt like there was an enormous B plot that we were supposed to pick up on going on in the background, but it never explores it at all. Like the fact that the robots were given guns, and the golden gate bridge is under water, and we see humans for about 10 seconds, but those 10 seconds tells us a LOT. like there is way more going on around the main story that is never brought up again, and that intrigues me a lot. I feel like we're either supposed to figure out what's going on/theorize, or that's what the sequel will involve.
Since there's a sequel in making, I think this is very likely. We were even shown a bridge (the golden bridge? idk) submerged underwater when Brightbill was migrating. That one scene, to me, is definitely intentional and will be leading us through the background in second movie. Another thing is I'm sincerely glad that the movie keeps its artistic elements cause wow. It's beautiful
As someone who picked up and read the books after being captivated by the trailer: 1. The gun wielding robots are from a different line than Roz. They are bigger, more durable, stronger, and, unlike Roz, are capable of deliberately causing harm to non-human animals in pursuit of their task. 2. Don't expect much elaboration about the Golden Gate Bridge being under water. The books were never terribly direct on this point either, but strongly imply that Roz's world is a future Earth post much of the worst effects of a near worst possible outcome of anthropogenic climate change. There is a brief bit about how it's been passed down that the island used to be a mountain before the water levels rose to a point that cut it off from the mainland (and they think it was humans' fault). Book 3 touches on the ruins of human settlements beneath the sea, but that's really it.
You make a great point about the artsy potential and I think there are other films that could definitely benefit. I remember watching Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron for the first time, I would get so into it, love it with all my heart then Matt Damon voiceover would snap me right back out of it. That film set itself up perfectly for no dialogue. I remember the scene where Spirit is pulling the train, the colours and visuals suddenly shift back to the same palette they used for his home, Zimmer's score starts playing the homeland leitmotif, and I remember just gasping because the implication was embedded so perfectly. Then the damn narration said something stupid like "they were headed right for my home". I was so mad I nearly turned it off. I'm just glad to say this film didn't suffer from that issue, and utilised its dialogue perfectly to enhance the emotional beats, instead of destroying it.
As someone, who did not watch the trailers or spoilers, I can confirm that this is the best way to experience new movies, try it out your self, you might just enjoy these moves that little bit more 😊
First, we had all the Star Wars droids like the battle droids, gonk droids, C3PO and R2D2 (not counting BB8 because he came out in The Force Awakens later that) then we had Optimus Prime and the Iron Giant, and then WALL-E, and then this, ROZ the Wild Robot! Dreamworks had to really enter the robo-universe, before everything was too late for the studio to sadly die off in house wise.
With all the attention on Transformers One and The Wild Robot, which yes they are incredibly well made, the other movie which definitely has a lot of soul is the new Lego documentary film about Pharrell Williams, Piece by Piece. I think the praise, while warranted, could also definitely be brought to this one.
I cried in so many parts. This movie is such a beautiful masterpiece and since you have the dad dies everyone is depressed and the mom dies everyone moves on after a quick flash of the grave. This movie puts just ace and because of it I see my mom as someone to lean on when times are hard, to help me. This movie served justice to the moms out there who weren’t ready, who were struggling in being vulnerable with their kids, in letting them go. God this movie is so good it’s my favorite movie of all times. The date today is November 10 2024, the day I saw this beautiful movie on screen. That’s all from an animation lover, art kid, and aspiring creator. Komono out
From what I remember in the book, in the lodge during the 'winter arc', an old turtle(/tortoise?) explains that they had seen hundreds of winters and the weather had always been getting worse and worse - and then the background of the island, where it turned out all the flooding had driven all the animals to this small, cramped island that hadn't enough for everyone, and how they had to fight and quarrel for survival before eventually agreeing to a truce every morning once things evened out. In the book(s) (iirc), we only get to see the sunken buildings beneath the ocean suggested near the end of the second one.
I think the reason some robots have guns is because she has a different type of task. The robots at the farm (in the storm scene) have guns because they have to find anything that could reduce crop growth, and having a gun would help. Ros doesn’t have a gun because raising and caring is basically the exact opposite of what a gun does. Edit: I do think Ros has a gun, but her programming forbids her to use it because of her different task.
It's possible that they change this in adaptation, but Roz definitely doesn't have a gun. Roz is a helper robot. She is programmed to be incapable of deliberately harming any living creature (the dissonance of her programming and her accidental crushing of Brightbill's family being what leads her to resolve to initially take care of Brightbill herself in book 1). The robots with guns are RECO robots. They are more durable, stronger, and bigger than Roz. Additionally, they have a lot more leeway when it comes to how much harm they can cause to non-human creatures. In the books, we mostly see them used to try and collect lost Universal Dynamics property (primarily Roz).
Saw the movie release day and cried at least 3 times. The plot was engaging and heartwarming and emotional. the animation was beautiful, and the VAs nailed their roles. (Fink is a joy through out the movie) the the score. 10/10 across the board
I have never read the original books, and I never learned of them until this movie was announced, but this actually had me sobbing like a baby at the end. I don't know why, but it just hit me in the feels so hard
The whole trailer thing is exactly why I never watch any trailers anymore; My whole realisation of the problem started with Sonic 1, where I watched the trailers, but realised after the movie, there was not a single real ‘surprise event’ in the whole thing, as there I don’t think there mighta been a single scene there wasn’t just SOME clip of somewhere in the trailer, meaning anything could be seen at least sorta coming. And sure, it kinda necessary first that since we were all desperate to see the redesign, but it made me decide to not watch any trailers for 2. And it was the BEST decision ever, I’d no idea what the plot even was besides Knuckles was in it, but Master Emerald, Snowboarding scene, GUN, ocean running, temple chase, Death Egg Robot, (what happened at the end of that of course), it was all straight to see, and so I went to the trailers after watching, and what do you know, i was completely right, they didn’t leave a SINGLE scene without something to suggest it, they wouldn’t even leave the death egg robot as a surprise ffs. So from that time on, I just quit trailers, cus they just cannot for the life of them not spoil too much, and Im glad about it every time, Sonic 3 (& Knuckles lol), Spider verse, D&W, this now, and it extends to games too now, Splatoon 3 story modes, M&L Brothership, ya get the idea. I just can’t watch trailers anymore for the exact problem ya talk about here, so if Im honest, Id just suggest to anyone not to take in any more marketing material than they need to to know they want in on something, it just works out better.
I finally watched the movie this weekend and I'm usually super critical about lots of celebrities being in the voice cast, Mark Hamil gets a pass he's just great, so I was a bit concerned about Pedro Pascal being in the movie. It's not til the credits rolled that I went "Fink was Pedro?? And Mark Hamil was here??" All this to say the voice actors knocked it out of the park with this one.
The reason the movie had voices for the animals is because in the book the robot identifies the animals and starts figuring out what each animal noise means so in the movie it shows it as a voice
this movie honestly changed my life it was absolutely gorgeous, i loved the voice acting, and the hibernation arc is my absolute favorite part of the movie because despite all the animals being so mean to roz she still saves them dear lord i loved this movie i cried so much
I just watched this movie at home with my parents and omg this film was amazing! The humor had me and my mom cackling. I especially loved Fink. He was genuinely so funny and Pedro did so good voicing him! I also really loved the mother-son relationship between Roz and Brightbill. It was so sweet. The Wild Robot is now my new favorite animated movie. Definitely a 10/10 imo! ❤
For me I wanted it to be silent as well and it was what I expected too. The teaser featured no dialogue aside from narration (which we didn't know came from Roz yet) and song lyrics which y'know, are forgiven since it's a song and not a character. I've seen quiet stories, and when pulled off they do so, so well, and I was really looking forward to getting that break from standard filmmaking and having them do something new again... Which they still did. Here comes where I probably differ from a lot of people. I don't deduct from the quality of the movie for it not being silent, I more so wish there was a second version or something that was actually made for silence. The movie is great, and it's absolutely not worse off because the characters talked, especially since it is also book based where all the animals do still speak from what I've heard. And I did also get that break from standard filmmaking. This movie did not shy away from heavy topics at all. When it plucked the strings, it really freaking grabbed them hard and yanked them out which a lot of other productions sugarcoat. And to top it all off, they even included a miniscule amount of gore. Not enough for kids to properly pick up on, but enough to say to adults: "Hey this stuff is serious, take a seat!" To summarize: the movie is not worse off for not being quiet, it was still another Last Wish quality movie. I merely wish I could've experienced the story without everyone yapping as well, since I'm curious. Absolutely a would recommend from me. No matter your disappointments, you cannot go wrong with this movie. And while I'm still scared to claim it, but anyone that disagrees might want to rethink their opinions. Unless of course it's just... not your thing which is totally fine.
I want to be completely honest, I personally didn't have much expectations for this movie. Came in completely blind, and came out of the cinema crying This movie went above and beyond everything I would've expected, full of feelings, sentiment, and passion. I really, REALLY hope they nail the sequel
i am old enough to drink and own a house, and i wept like a newborn at this movie. I got the precious opportunity to watch it with my mother, and it was such an incredibly special experience for both of us. Also, on our way back, we went to a fast food place to buy an ice cream, both with blotchy faces and tears and snot, smiling past the weeping. Those poor workers had no idea what was going on 😂
I think you got a point when you say it seems like we already seen that story before. I have pretty much the same feeling about the movie although it doesn't remove any of its numerous qualities ! It is so well executed I can easily forgive it the fact the story (while very well executed, I repeat) doesn't feel completely new. I had a great tiume watching The Wild Robot and I feel the urge to watch it again when it comes on streaming platforms !
I couldn't even tell who the voice actors were because I didn't know any of them were going in. All of them did amazing. Mark Hamil is already a phenomenal VA but everyone else did so well that I couldn't hear them and I just hear/saw the characters.
i already knew I was going to cry when watching the movie because of watching the trailers and how much I cried from those (especially the first time I ever watched the trailer), but DANG. I did not know I would be crying *throughout* the WHOLE ENTIRE movie. Maybe im just emotional like that but jeez, that movie was harsh and I loved it.
I agree I was worried there would be too much dialogue, but I don't think there is, it's not annoying, and it works very well, especially with them even explaining the translation
I think a movie you would love is Robot dreams. It a silent film like alot of people expected of the wild robot. And I believe that it also gets not enough recognition. I definitely recommend it.
this was honestly such a good movie, i dont normally cry watching most movies, but this had me SOBBING. Kinda excited for the thoughts of there being a seconds, but i would be just as happy if they left it alone as just a stand alone movie.
I was also expecting a silent film since it worked so well with the trailer but it was so good and I’m so glad i got this instead! My only nitpick is it’s fast pace made it a bit harder for me to suck in those emotional moments, but very very minor
Should have done research on the book the film was adapting before assuming things Yes trailer could have been upfront from the beginning But still... The books exist
This movie made me feel really good and I got nostalgic for the movies from my childhood. I hope more movies like this, or at least character/art driven works will start getting more popular again.
This is the only "kids" movie out in the U.S rn... Like, when I went to the theater it was the only animated one playing that looked decently family friendly so I'm sure this was the perfect time to release it. Like, if you have kids and you're taking them to a movie this would literally be your only option. That was genius, and DreamWorks deserves the attention for their creative and adorable stories like this, and not crap like Bee movie or Boss baby
I feel like Lupita Nyong'o deserved some praise in this review. She did an excellent job at playing Roz. I didn't hear you mention her name but to me she was really great. I didn't even know it was her at first but she was so good. I really felt the emotions of her character.
This movie will win an oscar for Best Animated Film. Totally awesome in every way. Unique story, a robot lost in the wild learns to adapt and make friends and a family with the animals.
Some say that Transformers One is in their top 3 for 2024? Not in top 3, maybe in top 15. Too violent, almost boring. Wild Robot, The Forge, Avatar 2, Inside Out 2, the Man and His Penguin, and several others are in my top 10, but not Transformers One. KM
the "completely silent artsy animated movie about robots and animals" you're looking for is robot dreams. Got to watch it at a film festival here, genuiely surprised how well it worked
I do like how they explain the animals talking in the book and movie that the robot is able to change its language of “animal” language. Never that I’ve minded them speaking, but I do like it lol.
I took the kids to see it, because they wanted to see it. I didn't even know who was in it till the cast was being shown at the end. I remember saying "Mark Hamil was the bear?" And my daughter asks "who is that?" lol so kids don't always know names. I answered Luke Skywalker. But it was a really cute movie, I never read the books so I was crying. And my daughter wasn't to happy with the ending. She wanted Roz to go 'home.' Here is to hoping when they do make the second one they don't drop the ball.
And now the sequel has ALSO been announced, are you excited for it..? Or think this should have been a one-and-done?

It is what it is, and it's probably great (haven't had a chance to see it yet!)... But I still long for a timeline where Wall-E was mostly silent. Like, the first third or so is my favorite part and has a great vibe, and I think the humans change the vibe a lot, even though I do like where they went with it.
I feel like you missed the point of this argument, people were expecting it to be a silent movie because probably 75% of the first trailer viewers (including myself) didn't read the original book and that the first trailer had little to almost no dialogue.
@@trist10 that is quite a fair point

So in the viewpoint of any non-animal character who isn't Roz, she's making various animal noises in response to animals making animal noises.

@@anonymous5401 yeah, I was more referring to the ones that they encounter on the migration
@@joshuakim5240 oh my bad 😂
tbh that took me out of the movie for a bit because I was more like "Why put robots with guns in a farm? That just creates more damages if the lazers miss." and I was thinking more about the damages that'll cause on the farm. Still made me cry tho. 10/10 would play on loop.
The perfect masterpiece to send off in-house productions at DreamWorks. The cast and characters are perfect, it's not afraid to show nature being as cruel as it is beautiful, and the emotional beats hit so hard.

As someone who read the wild robot pretty much when it first was written, I was surprisingly pleased with how it turned out.
I too was hesitant with the talking animals, but after watching the movie and it’s become one of my favorite movies of all time, I found and read the book and, talking animals IS IN THE BOOK, and done in the same relative way. Speaking of which, the movie actually does a better job of adapting to the books then I expected

I thought that Roz's type of robot was a peaceful one and that's why the robots with guns are a completely different type.
Pretty much
Something I really like is how the scenes that take place in nature have dynamic lighting of all different colors with a painterly style, but the human city is lit with flat, white light and is blocky and inorganic.

my guess is that the corporation that is creating the robots just say that they’ll never hurt anybody as a way to pretend the company is a lot friendlier than it really is

As someone who picked up and read the books after being captivated by the trailer:
It’s in the future, really far in the future so climate change
That only thing I liked about this movie
@@violeth2255Damn :(, how much animals they killed?
Well, it is based off a trilogy of books, so I expected it to get a sequel
Inside Out 2 broke me at the end of the movie
The Wild Robot broke me FROM THE HALFTIME TO THE VERY END

The characters speaking in the book is actually a good thing because they actually do speak in the book and it’s book accurate 1:40
I hope they make a third.
The third book wasn't as good as the other two, and I'd like to see a rework.
The whole trailer thing is exactly why I never watch any trailers anymore;
My whole realisation of the problem started with Sonic 1, where I watched the trailers, but realised after the movie, there was not a single real ‘surprise event’ in the whole thing, as there I don’t think there mighta been a single scene there wasn’t just SOME clip of somewhere in the trailer, meaning anything could be seen at least sorta coming.

DreamWorks really is the last remaining good 3D animation studio. And I love that for them with all my heart.
Not enough for kids to properly pick up on, but enough to say to adults: "Hey this stuff is serious, take a seat!"
To summarize: the movie is not worse off for not being quiet, it was still another Last Wish quality movie.
Came in completely blind, and came out of the cinema crying
