Hi there. Have you ever metal detected these areas?if ya have,I may have missed it. I think I’ve seen metal detecting but not out on these area’s. Great video as always 🙌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
copper tube is fuse tube used in WWI artillery and mines; head has two holes for inserting pins on an adjustment/screw tool used to screw in the fuse; example would be a 77/14 model - 75 mm high-explosive shell
I was in the middle of changing the rear brakes on my car, then up pops Si. Of course I had to stop and watch 😁. Then it was lunch time, so of course stopped for something to eat. Ready to get back to work and up pops Nicola. It's a conspiracy 🤣. Some nice finds today 👍, now I really need to get back to work 😁.
Woah Si! I knew this video would be good because they always are, but I was not prepared for the EPICNESS of this video!! Absolute perfection! 😍 I smiled the whole way though! Love the music, love the location, love Steve-cam, love the mallet bottle, the blue bottle, the pipes, the pottery... everything! ❤️❤️❤️ This is how you show the other TH-cam history hunters who's boss 😉 Can't wait for the next one!
@@Sifinds yes mate that would be cool! I’ll be over for detectival in September and hanging out in the uk in our camper van 🚐 so let’s keep in touch 😃🤙
Oioi Si, that Mallet is a real beauty and just love the seltzers, so nice to see them with the pretty makers marks. Always love to see the Hovercraft videos ☺️ nice one!
Wonderful finds.the pipes are great finds. You and your friend had a great time. Mudlocking.your friend Shirley from new Bern, north Carolina USA ❤❤stay well and safe 🎉🎉🎉😮🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😊❤❤
Sadly the area of Ahrweiler has been flooded in the heavy rain a few days ago and over 110 people died. The Apollinaris water still comes from Ahrweiler (not at the moment, most haven't got electricity and running water) it must have been on the news in UK. It's a very beautiful place here in Germany 🇩🇪
Always happy to see you & Steve, *Hovercraft History Hunters* on a *mudadventure👍.* Here's hoping those copper rods are something special! Kindly🧡Dudley
I'm a bit late seeing this one, but loved every minute as always. You never fail to find great treasures. Those pipes !! I dont think I've even seen Nicola with such beauties. Thanks Si and Steve, take care Alioban xx
When you said “there is a nice big jar look” , I thought that you could see me watching and said “ there is a nice big Charlotte look” ! 🤣🤣🤣 I thought cheeky, I know that I have put on a bit of weight recently, but really! …….all those thoughts in just a few seconds. Seriously I love watching your videos and seeing all your wonderful finds.
@@Sifinds -- Well, getting married (and divorced -- twice!), having kids (2 first marriage, 2 second marriage) does put a dent in one's musical "career" -- especially trying to hold onto music equipment! Maybe I can find some old recordings that one or more of my various bands did and send you those to see if you survive!!!! :-)
Guitar music at the beginning was cool. The mallet bottle is stunning, so was the blue bottle. I’m waiting for the day when mud comes out of the bottle and you drink it lol 😂 German water bottles were fantastic
Hi Si, The piece of pottery with the 'growth' is part of an old candle stick the candle holder would have been in the middle with handle opposite the spike. The spike may have been to hold the candle snuffer.
Hovercraft History Hunters...fantastic! Great to see you again, Steve! I'm glad you said y'all were heading out more often, Si...some of your greatest videos! Have an awesome week!
Love these hovercraft adventures. You guys have found some wonderful things. I reared you when Steve told his cabinet story. I don’t think I would have talked to my children for longer than a week if it had been me. I think that’s a ring holder tray, Si.
Finally I recognize some POTTERY (SKEET) I feel you Si, have the most upbeat mudlarking site on TH-cam. You are the "man with the plan" getting together with buds and getting out and doing something instead of sitting around watching sports in the Pub. Love punk
I have a plate that was made for the first class dining room of the Titanic, it is called Gothic Arch. Obviously it didn't come off the ship but would have been in storage to replace any broken items when she returned home to Southampton. It has been authenticated by the Titanic Historical Society. It cost me 50p from a car boot sale many years ago.
Hi Si, Hi Steve, Great to see the both of you. Steve, I’m still laughing, when you said oh a tube, it’s a you tube. Lol lol 😆. Si, I love the music. I always wondered who did your opening song. Now I know The Kodiacs. 😎🎵🎶🎼. I think it suits your videos. Great finds . Steve so sorry about the cabinet. Glad you got that bottle today. I love your videos Si. Always enjoyable. Take care, Joyce 🇺🇸. 🏹🎱
I immediatey suspected your copper tubes were some kind of detonator for a shell, without thinking about it, as it looked like some kind of a carbon deposit in the endof the tube, showed, on the video. In the end , what do I know and why was I shouting at the screen that I was watching it on?
Love the guitar, at the beginning & the end!! Cool! 🤙🤙 Hovercraft expeditions are so much fun! - must be such a rush, 'flying' over the muck!! hello from Denmark 🌱🌸
This was a terrific video. I really love some of your finds, the Mokka Ware and matador are beautiful, I would love to see you create a collage with them. Very fun day for you and fun watch for me. Thanks,
Good stuff, fellas! You gotta love mud to do what you do. We, out here, are all quite happy to watch you get filthy and cold while we lie back on the couch, or bed and just watch. Thanks so much for sharing. Some really nice finds and congrats on your special findsfrom downunder🦘
The two copper tubes look like pull detonators to set off explosives. In the end would be a ring that is pulled and hence ignite the fuze leading to an explosive charge. Very nice finds!!!
Thanks for sharing another fun outing! You guys always seem to find such good stuff! Sorry to hear about Steve's cabinet loss. I certainly would be devastated too!

Missed the Hovercraft !! Great music 😎 ! Super sadness about Steve’s cabinet 😳😭. Some nice finds Si. Loved the tiny blue bottle of course. Take care and stay safe.
It could have been a detonator. Tubes like that we're filled with fulmanated mercury and used to ignite many types of explosive. It's similar to a blasting cap. It could have been used to detonate a sea mine.
Yeah!!! As soon as I heard the guitar I got shivers!😂😂😂 I dunno, I just love HHH! And you and Steve make me laugh! It was a fun day out on the mud, and some great finds! Sad that the mallet bottle was busted. It’s still lovely though! I can imagine how crushed Steve would have been on seeing his precious finds smashed beneath the fallen cabinet! (Kids eh, who would have ‘em?). Anyway, Si Take care. Looking forward to next week already. Good job guys.

The long pipe that Steve pulled using the sugar crusher has the same design as the ones made at Nantgarw in South Wales.
I like your choice of music. The pot is thrown, not well, but def thrown. Looks like one of my first tries.

It looks a bit like something a maker might’ve used during the firing process...
Thanks for identifying this, me and my mates have found these in Halifax Harbour Nova Scotia and didn't have a clue as to what they were.

The metal tube. Looks like hand held flare. I looked up military flares.
ah cool!
I was thinking small incendiary? as in WW2 multiple bomblets inside a common case when dropped, the case was detonated, scattering the bomblets.
I was thinking fuse
