"save the worm" got a warm smile from me, i always feel like you can trust a person who doesn't want to hurt anything no matter how small it is. I have never actually seen a ragworm before, only the marks on sand where they hang out, very interesting! Aside from that, very interesting vid, i am glad you didn't pass up the chance to dig at the Victorian fly tip, nice find.

A suggestion, for the bottles that are too damaged to cut down the normal way how about cutting them lengthways creating a dish shape that can be used for storing poket ephemera, jewellery or as a desk tidy. As ever I love your videos thank you so much for sharing x

Ink Island, here's what happened. There was a writer's conference in 1817, just after the Year Without a Summer. All the best writers were there. There was Jane Austin, Lord Byron, the Bronte sisters, George Elliot and many more. They were all plugging along, working on their novels and poetry and having a great time. Then Mary Shelly showed up and they all gave up. They threw their quill pens, manuscripts, clay pipes, wine bottles and inkwells in the river and went home. To this day, we still don't know what they were working on.

@@Sifinds Ahhh…understandable.🤔 A design immediately popped into my head when I read your reply. Two wire rings made from sturdier wire than yours (about the circumference of the upper ring of your design), three or four short pieces of the same wire to connect the two rings. I see the short pieces curved inward in a quarter moon shape as if reaching to touch the bottom of the bottle. Upper ring to cradle the bottle, lower ring to rest on the table top, shorter curved pieces to connect the two. Open all around to show off those glorious bottles. 😁

Have to kind of wonder if pipes in Britain were made to remark on or maybe show-where someone was from, such as the Loch Ness Monster - which maybe that pipe bowl you found was all about? Nice finds there boys, glad you enjoyed your day, we all enjoyed watching as you unearthed all of them.

Collecting pop bottles was big business for kids when I was growing up. Scouts collected them in bottle drives. But for us, taking the pop bottles, large and small, from home or going door-to-door meant lots of candy.
We also used to look for bottle caps that had between 5 and 25 cents (or sometimes “Try Again”) printed under the lid, later printed on plastic fastened to the lid which you would peel the plastic off and take to the corner store. When my Mom married my step-Dad, he used to take us with him when he went to the city heating plant he designed to inspect it. They had a pop machine and the workers always let us take all the pop lids under the bottle-opener. They would magnetize a screwdriver and we’d stick it in the receptacle. We often came away with $2 or $3 worth of caps.for us, that seemed like $100.
Actually, if you counted the return on the bottles plus any money in the caps, you could buy a whole paper bag of candy!

As far as the pipes go could the one with the rose have been from the Rosicrucians I wonder? And the one you speculate has the snake- from the Freemasons? The Snake was one of their symbols. Both were active in Europe and elsewhere.

You could take a bucket and put water in it for a wash station, make a pile and put it in the bucket when finished.

8.13 broken cod bottle, to the right there also seems to be a glass article, poking out of the mud, be a pity if it was the unseen top of your bottle

Not seen the entire video yet. Just found yall. I am in love with the smoking pipes. I would never find any here in the southern U.S. I have found arrowheads though.

Beautiful weather! We're having a nice weekend after the "bomb cyclone". Easy to forget summer was not that long ago. I liked the camera trade off, everyone does a good job, and interesting to see how spread out on the estuary you get. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing the gold embossed bottle, 'cos I'm all about the bling;)

Greetings from 15 minutes away from Oak Island! :D
I live just outside of Mahone Bay town and most of us don't think there's anything there either, but it sure is a popular local legend! ;)
