@@stratman9449 The story on this one was awesome, the owners daughter was storing the guitar in her house and needed to know the value to ammend her home insurance, didn't know how much it was worth had typed "Gibson Les Paul" into google thinking around £5k would be enough. Took it to ATB to be sure the value was correct then they told her what it was and what it was worth.
I love Joe Bonamassa this Les Paul is very beautiful I have a Les Paul true historic lemon burst full top practically identical to this color I just need two bangs from those years but already as it is and well it sounds
Hey Mr. Shiflett.... everyone always talks about the feel of a neck(chunky and what not) but it seems like nobody ever talks about fretboard radius. Vintage Fenders were said to be 7.25 radius but most modern fenders are 9.5. Do you and or any of your guests have an opinion about this?
I'm not a guest lol, but I did recently pick up a vintage 1976 ESP strat with the 7.25 and it's debunked all of the horrible Internet crap I read about them. There's a little difference but not crazy and if they're set up correctly you can absolutely bend anywhere and not have notes fret out. Sorry for the unwanted response but I laughed when I read this comment because I had been recently hardcore researching all of this prior to picking up the guitar. I'm happy I did.
@@shanealan2995 hey that's cool.... I have a 2009 mim strat I got used and it plays like a dream. And I got to looking at why and I checked the fretboard and it seems to be a 7.25. When I did the serial lookup everything matched. So i'm thinking it was maybe just a fluke cause it was supose to be 9.5 from the factory.
radius really doesn’t matter, Eddie Van Halen did all his wizardry in the early days on 7.25 radius fenders. I prefer the smaller frets & radius myself but yeah it’s not really that relevant, your hands adjust without much thinking
@@ahiwalter9153 but the shape of the back of the Neck matters??? because your hand can't adjust to that??? If it didn't matter I doubt that Leo would have gone to all the trouble to put a radius on it and just made it flat.
ok....i wondered what happened to that LP burst.....i followed these guys on YT...but then it was "gone"....good to know there's some life left init...albeit with new frets and new pus.....cheers...just how many "bursts" does Joe have by now...??..
Dang it, was really hoping he'd hook up the switch. Not that it matters what I think, but I thought it woulda made for a cool story in 30 years when he starts selling off all of these guitars.....just keep that weird little piece of history going. Pretty awesome story about that guitar tho....glad it's being used.
Yeah,,,,,that's all you gotta do, get £250.000 together,,,,,,,,,right you are Joe,,,,,,right you are!. Beautiful guitar, hard to believe it's the same one as the finger board looked like a dried out cheese cracker but now looks like sweet dark liquorice!.
Thanks for the shout out Joe and the opportunity do repair those pickups for you.
JB has the absolute best guitar stories out of any artist I’ve ever heard! Keep em coming Joe 🙏❤️✌️🎼🎵🎶
Haha, "I don't even want to acknowledge it". New definition of love at first hearing 😁
Spinal Tap moment.
Love how JB not only plays these gems, but shares the history of each. A true, devoted "custodian" of the Bursts.
Love that Burst! So cool!
i have been waiting to see what became of the Dirty Burst. thank You
The top is just beautiful.
Some interesting stuff at ATB, they recently sold another couple of 1960 bursts in fantastic condition.
makes you wonder where they seem to suddenly "appear" from........haa....

Hi. What's about the seafoam green relic strat behind? It's a Custom Shop ? Looks great, anyway.
JB is the knowledge about guitars.
Very nice!
Ah haaa I just saw that video yesterday and now this. I should have know Joe was going to get it. I know that pick guard. Lmaoooooo.😂😂😂
The switch is for when you want your skill levels to go to 11. Instant rockstar switch.
Lee Sklar is the master of that!

Every guitar needs a danger switch.....where can I get one.....
Should call it the RED TAIL.

When's the Isbell content coming?
The switch is for the recording engineer who’s looking for a different tone😂
Or as Lee Sklar called it, "the producer switch."
Only Joe would have a rotation of “road bursts” lol
Almost looks like a dirty gold top 😎👍
Yeah when i seen him pay it onstage i first thought it was a Goldtop!

Joe could be respected, but he even told Eric to his face he jocks all his stuff..🎉😂
Anybody else wonder what
Mr B’s annual budget is for guitar strings?
💵💵💵🤭
He probably doesn't have to pay
If you can afford guitars like this, strings are pocket change to him. But I would like to know what strings he actually uses.

That guitar is begging to have a B7 put back on her. 🤙
I didnt want to restore it but I restored it😆
Same strings from new
The "R.A.H Burst" for Royal Albert Hall 👍 like that more than dirty burst🤢
SHIFT my name is Schiffy. HI THERE.

Joe is looking more and more Paul McCartney as the years go 🤭
Orio’s? Really?
I could see why the black/cream PAFs could be equated with the look of Oreo cookies, but....I've never heard of it, either!
@@anthonyc1883 Yeah same here! For the 50 years i have been on earth they were always called Zebra never Oreo! 🤣
I lmfao when he said that 😂
That it though, they will now be known as oreo!
Looks more like an oreo than a zebra...Oreo it is..
Bro, that LP just screams SLASH
With no disrespect call it whatever you want Joe, but it will always be known as “The Dirty Burst” it’s like fighting against a HURRICANE .
Dirty burst is a great though.
I love les Paul’s with zebra pick ups. I hate covers.
Not feeling that switch on the pickguard look🤮🤢
Oh, awesome. Joe got another burst. Does anyone actually give a shit?
