WHAT IS HAPPENING? Hey all, I'm currently working on my next video and also moving house. While waiting for my next video, I've created a new Instagram account for my fans to post completed dioramas you've created (Conditions apply). You can check out the latest activity via: instagram.com/bouldercreekrailroad/ See you soon. Cheers, Luke
I love your work so much! The amount of detail that you put into everything is unmatched and I can no longer watch any other diorama channels. I do have one suggestion though! To add even one more aspect of realism, any of your dioramas that include splashes, mists of water, and waves, I think it would look really neat if you brushed on a thin layer of clear resin to the lower parts of the rock formations to add the effect of wetness!
I thought he just re-used the same tiny bit of video every time, like the 5 minutes of Bela Lugosi footage used over and over again in "Plan 9 From Outer Space"?
Not sure if this is something you would try, but for Christmas, it would be neat for a diorama for something to due with the Polar Express. Perhaps the frozen lake with the train on top. You could do cracking ice, and have tracks coming out from the ice to look like the frozen over tracks. Again, not sure if this is in your wheelhouse, but it's an excuse for a pretty neat icy/snowy scene with some interesting techniques to use.
@@Landrew0 really? Seriously. With all the craftsmanship on his layouts, not to mention what a badass instructor he is and then the amazing videos and all that takes time to do. Luke, as someone who works for Walthers, and builds a lot of our models, I have to say you did an absolute bang up job on the lighthouse. It’s always a treat to see how our models can shine (no pun intended) in the hands of a skilled modeler such as yourself. Keep up the amazing work. You’re a true inspiration to many. Cheers.
Your videos are the only videos on TH-cam that don`t trigger my media adhd. I am mesmorized at every minute with your precision, talent, and perfection!!
I accidentally found out your channel today. Best accident ever. Been watching your videos for straight 2 hours now. Give me much satisfaction watching these videos...
I literally only watch these videos while i do dishes. It’s so relaxing. In the beginning of every video i have this tension like it doesn’t look right but by the end i can’t believe it’s not a real place.
I want to thank you and mostly your family for these videos. I know it takes a lot of time for you to do these videos I also acknowledge that it takes time away from your family. Please extend my thanks to them as well.
Really beautiful, If I had anything worth suggesting, it would be to raise the darker grey from the bottom area of rocks a little higher and give it some irregularity, as the rocks right at surface of the water look a bit dry, which shouldn't be the case if they are wet from all the waves splashing. Also, rocks at or just below the surface of the water often have seaweed/moss, so it could be worthwhile to add a bit of that 'grass' on the rocks below the surface before adding the resin (would that even work?). Finally, I assume this is high tide, but if it were low tide there would be some staining of the rocks up to the waterline of high tide, with some various kinds of flora and fauna on the rocks below that level. Just a couple thoughts. Love your work.
Now why can't everyone who has a TH-cam channel make amazing videos like this ? It's informative, the instructions are clear and concise, the camera work is faultless showing all the details in close ups when needed and finally, it's highly entertaining ! Stunning film Luke - perfection personified in just 25 minutes.
I know I’m never going to make any of these but I don’t know why I can’t stop myself from watching all your amazing artworks Luke! Keep up the awesomeness! Much love 🙏🏼
ha ha yeah I surprised myself! It actually took 4 goes... but I did try to do it with some of the other paint bottles and as you can see from the video... I wasn't successful, I must have tried nearly 50 times with the other bottles!
You're videos get me through my work day. I throw on my headphones, press play, and listen to you walk through the steps as I work. Another great tutorial!
I absolutely love these videos! I design sculpt and paint custom superhero statues and busts. I have never made anything like your dioramas but It's a pleasure to watch a craftsman at work, I have certainly picked up a few tips and discovered some extremely useful products. Mightily impressive, cheers 8-)
Luke, I love you channel. I am a hobbyist and not a professional like you but I try to make whatever I can with whatever I have. Thank you. You are a great teacher and your videos are to the point!!!! Much love from New York!

Ahhh cool, I just finished school and I am making a bunch of military jets, trying to make them as detailed as I can. Also now going to make a mini jet-shade display/diorama inspired by your vids.

Hi Luke, with your narrating technique and pedagocical resourcefulness, I'd be happy to see a video explaining airbrush methods - you make it look so simple.

I literally have never made any mini dioramas but these videos are so soothing to watch it doesn’t even matter
that's really cool, glad you enjoy watching 😉
I know right!

Same!! Don’t plan to either 🤣
Same here XD Living my dreams through his videos.
Luke is pretty much the Bob Ross of modeling. It doesn’t matter if you don’t model, it’s still enjoyable to watch.
You totally need to try doing overgrown, post-apocaliptic city. Weathered, rusty, broken. Filled with greenery.
Veles that would be so cool!! Maybe an old broken down car and some down power lines!!
YEEEESSSSSSS THAT SOUNDS REALLY COOL i wanna make that.

Like a fallout senario
Let's make it happen, mates.
It's a 3-D Bob Ross!!! :-) WOW Incredible work brother
I don't see happy accidents there, just perfect job !
This is an excellent description for him and his works :)
NAILED it!!!!
He even uses white Gesso
It's how I described this to a friend. Good to see someone else think it.

Keep up the great work!
