Got this game for Christmas cause it won game of the year and wasn't sure, but thoroughly loved it all the way 100%. Then immediately wanted to check out a speedrun of it. Great run, after 2 months of grinding must feel great to end it with a WR as well as a new minute barrier!!!
This is my exact experience! I didn't even know the game existed until I watched the game awards. As soon as I saw a couple of reviews, I knew I had to get this game. Today I finished 100%. Now it's time to check a speedrun.
i actually judge the games quality by their speedrun difficulty and complexity, and there is no way wukong is better than astrobot, that game is slow af
@bdud Have you ever played Super Mario 64? I don't know much about this game, but from what I'm seeing, the movement tech doesn't even compare to SM64. No hate tho we're all free to enjoy what we choose.
@@Isosceles8818 it’s kinda sounding hateful. I said nothing about speedrun-wise. Casually Astro Bot is the best. SM64 has practically been the most popular speedrun for the past 2 decades though. I will say this run feels so great to run. There’s new unique gadgets introduced in every level. So each level gets new dedicated movement tech to master. It’s not as glitchy, but I personally prefer it that way
I know a faster technique to move i learned on my sisters and her friend ps5 for astrobot if i ever get to play again ill make video about it or was it in Another game like sackboy idk
Gaming is doomed and we are the reason. We have proved that all we want is a simple platformer with uninspiring characters for that quick dopamine fix. I mean ffs, it's a playstation branded game winning goty is just beyond criminal when Wukong and Rebirth exist. Quality and depth are overrated now due to low attention spans and unless we change, it's going to be the same slop. Why spend money and time making quality when this is what sells?

This is all just subjective, so take it with a grain of salt. As a person who just doesn’t like Souls games, I can see where you’re coming from. However, it’s pointless to argue about things you literally cannot change. I believe more people have the opportunity to enjoy Astro Bot than, for example, Black Myth: Wukong. No one is saying that one is better than the other. If you have the patience for Souls games, you could enjoy them more than the average person. But thats just the thing, the AVERAGE person will find Astro Bot more enjoyable.
