      @@learneuropeanportuguese Another interesting video idea: In Portuguese when to use : No Meio/ Em Meio ao/ Entre. In English we simply used the word : Amid ! Thanks

      No meio do jardin- In the middle of the garden.
      Em meio de tantos problemas- In the midst of so many problems.
      You are welcome.
      A bit of advice from a polyglot- Learn sentences by heart with the translation in your native language or another language you are familiar with. Don't focus too much on nuances.

    Telefonar- Eu acho que em inglês também se pode dizer" To phone my daddy".
    As vezes uso o verbo ligar em vez de telefonar.
    Vou ligar ao meu pai.
    Adoro as listas de afazeres. Não só servem para aprender línguas, mas também ajudam a memorizar melhor o vocabulário de qualquer disciplina, especialmente para aquelas pessoas que têm uma memória visual ou fotográfica como a minha.
    Pessoal, é melhor escrever-las num papel que no vosso computador ou portátil.

      Olá José! Concordo, o melhor é escrever estas listas à mão. Aqui nos E.U.A. usamos mais o "to call" do que "to phone", mas acho que os ingleses usam esse verbo também. Nós em português até temos três verbos que usamos: o telefonar, o ligar e o chamar (menos comum mas algumas pessoas usam). Bom domingo!

      @@learneuropeanportuguese Exactamente, eu vou fazer uma chamada. A minha cabeça pensa em duas ou três palavras enquanto digo uma. Não consigo controlar este conjunto de palavras que vem ao meu cérebro de maneira expontânea quando oiço uma. As vezes jogo com os prefixos e os sufixos das palavras para lembrar-me melhor de outras palavras. Uso a técnica da associação= mnemonics. É algo automático que faço sem dar-me conta. Isso também te acontece?

    No, Portuguese verbs depend on context. Singular, plural, me, they, she, he, us, past tense .... it's mental
