I was worried that Aion 2 will be more PvP centered then the first one Glad to hear it's the opposite, i just like killing mobs and doing quests more than PvP stuff
PvP is what made the game challanging and fun. Problem is they are catoring to PvE players and will likely lose the remainder of the OG playerbase... I remember Aion retail at its peak. NC does not do PvE well. Tank and spank with a few mechanics. Just go play FFXIV if you want a great story and no PvP.
I somewhat agree, I loved the PvP from a long time ago, but these days it feels like Pay 2 win and zergs are just ruining and preventing the PvP fun we had back then. But maybe that's just me prefering Solo or small scale PvP and thinking competitive PvP in a game with Pay2win is a waste. Furthermore I think the "OG playerbase" for Aion in the west is so small that they can only make a step in the right direction. In the end it will be a new game on a new engine, so with the exception of some key parts like the lore, it will be something very different that is not directly aimed at the current playerbase of Aion and instead aims to get many new and returning players into the game with something the first aion game had always promised - better fights that include aerial moves. While I have my own concerns for the game, I still hope that it will be a success. 😄
I play aion only for open world PvP, and I don't like other games because they don't have such fun, if you want a pve game there are a lot of games better than aion
Well it depends, I for example don't think Aion PvP has developed in a good direction. With pay2win and most open world pvp being zergs, I think it has lost a lot of the charm and fun it had before. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy it, I'm happy for you if you enjoy yourself and keep going! I personally love the battlesystem in Aion, in this sense for me there is not necessarily a better PvE game than Aion. You can argue about how raids/dungeons and bosses are done better in other games and I would agree, but the battlesystem still feels superior in Aion in my opinion. And that is about to change with Aion 2 anyway, so we will see if it passes the battlesystem test, because if it doesn't then it doesn't even matter if they focus on PvE or on PvP.😅
Making Aion PvE driven will kill the game. There are already too many other MMO that do PvE way better. The mechanics are even designed around PvPvE. I think they need to stick to there roots and find balance
@@Kush2020 If you talk about Aion, then yes it should stay as it is now, no reason to pivot anymore. When it comes to Aion 2, it is practically a new game with a new direction, new battle systems, on a new engine, etc... Aion 2 for example will not have the usual class system that we do have in the first Aion game. With this many changes in it's structure it is not a situation where they have to stay the same, they can innovate and improve in many different directions. If it's good or bad depends on how they do it and who you ask. I simply hope for the best. 😄
I'm really excited and curious to see what and how Aion 2 will turn out. 😍 And also looking forward to seeing if it's beginner-friendly for a noob like me 😉 Hopefully they'll do better against bots and have more server capacity...🥲

Wasnt it Aphsaranta (Retail) that was the land of Apsu? And now they retconned it as Rafslan for Classic lol
Yes, Classic and retail follow the same path up to patch 2.5 or so, since then classic takes a different route than retail did.

I'm sure collecting and cooking/crafting will be in Aion 2 as well for you 😉
