So when a sorc overwrites their sleep with another sleep, removing a buff or scroll causes basically a 1 input delay, where you can get off a skill (instant, not sure about casted, since I play mostly physical classes), a pot, etc. you can even reposition a few steps in a direction

There are better players with better examples of using that buff/scroll removal technique. Good rangers use it to apply silence between the sleeps
