It's not really that simple and it's also not 100% the fault of Zikel. Yes Zikel wanted to win against the Balaur and he wanted to avenge all the fallen humans and daevas that the Balaur had killed. And again yes, he was mad at the Seraphim Lords because their decision to go through with the peacetalks led to not only the destruction of the tower, but also to the loss of many humans, daevas and even the lifes of two of the Empyrean Lords. So I would say being a bit mad about all of this is justified. The Deltras incident started the Abyss Wars. The Deltras incident was mostly the fault of Zikel, but I also want to point out that while Zikel badmouthed Nezekan in the sense of "See how dumb Nezekan is? Where his decision with the peace talks have led us?" he did NOT attack. Deltras was the first person to attack Zikel, Zikel then retaliated with one attack that instantly killed Deltras. The reason why Deltras attacked is unclear, maybe he thought Zikel would kill them and not let them return home or maybe he just got angry because Zikel insulted his Lord Nezekan. The person that truly ruined all of it was the Empyrean Lord we cover next - Lord Israphel. He was the reason why the peace talks didn't work out, why the Empyrean Lords split up and all of it happened because of his own mysterious plan...

@@Azphelgg I do understand Zikel but if he didn’t say anything bad about nezekan, maybe he could’ve gained an ally against the balaur. Israphel is next? i thought people would save him for last.

I agree with you and I think most people feel the same way. Maybe Aion 2 will be an option for some of us, I'm hoping for the best. Also I decided to do an entire playthrough from Lv1 to Endgame and explain all the systems and experiences I have made during this time. It will take some time to finish because I want to compile all of it in one video, but I'm already working on it. It will certainly show the flaws and questionable decisions in Retail Aion. 😅

Could be the case, but that's the only option if you want a new story with the Aion franchise. So I'm still hoping for the best.

I will put it on my list. I'm a bit behind on classic myself at the moment because I focused on other stuff but that's no issue.

Sadly no, I do not play on private servers so my only options are Aion classic EU and Aion Retail. If you want to experience the PvE side of Aion again Aion Classic is fine, for PvP the pay 2 win might simply be too much to bother with. We should soon hear about the marketing campaign of Aion 2 which is set to release in 2025. So hopefully this will be a very good option for all of us.

That's very weird, so that means the topic "AION" is called genisis now? can they change that whenever they want? Let's hope this means news about AION 2 are coming, and maybe in a couple of years you'll have to remake these videos about the Empyrean lords if we get new info in the new game XD

@@Badjorraz Yea it's weird, it got changed back to Aion now after a few days so maybe it was just a TH-cam thing or a test before they make the change 😉 Even though I have my own doubts about Aion 2, I am looking forward to it and hope it succeeds. I will gladly remake these videos if in exchange we get a good Aion 2 game 😂👍

Well they said they completely redo it and make it not feel as weird as in the first game, but we will get more details soon!

Yea it feels like they put hurdles up for every single thing for no real reason and simply added more and more grind systems to keep the few players that remain in Retail Aion busy.

That might be true, but my hope remains that it will revive the Aion franchise with which I had so many good memories with in the past.

yeah they made that 4 elements transform system and then they deleted it completely from the game. and from there they just come up with a new minion/transform/stigma/enchantment/cube system every year and abandon previous ones.

A bit hard to explain, yes we as players don't see them in the first few patches but that doesn't mean that they disappeared. They are there but frankly said as a regular daeva that only begins his journey (since nobody knows our identity at this point), you are definitely not in a position to simply approach and talk to an Empyrean Lord. Same as a regular citizen also isn't able to simply approach a president or so in real life. That's why you have these "invitations" after you as a daeva achieved something, after they see that you are more than a regular daeva. There are multiple legions and agents under one Empyrean Lord and obviously if you belong to one of them it would be easier to contact them, like the "Daevas of Life" are following Lady Yustiel. BUT in later patches you see them in certain locations where you can always approach some of them and talk to them. I can leave you with one more thing, an interesting book about the very short path of becoming one of the agents of an Empyrean Lord, it's called "Ascending to Agent".😄

I understand your frustration. Aion, as good as the game itself is, has been the victim of greedy companies for a long time. A change however isn't necessarily bad and as you say the game isn't working well with a broad audience, so change is necessary to make it successful. Aion 2 could be horrible but it could also be a good game that many of us will enjoy, I personally hope that the Aion franchise will succeed but none of us will be able to say anything about it yet. The marketing campaign starts early this year, so any moment now. Let's see about it and hope that it will be a good game.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for being around! It isn't adressed at all, because YOU are the player, YOU are the main character. If you choose to be an Elyos, the story will be that you are the deciding factor why the Elyos managed to achieve certain things and how you helped Kaisinel defeat Tiamat. If you choose to be an Asmodian it's almost the same thing just with the other Lord. It is a bold choice NC made with this, but in the end you can avoid it's conflicting story by using only general terms in recaps like "after we successfully defeated Tiamat" instead of mentioning who exactly killed Tiamat. And this is only necessary if you have the asmodian/elyos alliance or a combined campaign of Elyos and Asmodians, because if they are separated the Elyos Story can basically continue as "we Elyos were the ones that killed Tiamat" while Asmodians can continue saying that they were the ones that killed Tiamat. Usually I'm not a fan of it because the story should be set in stone as to who is the person that kills the final boss, but they made this decision for Retail Aion and for the classic version we simply do not know yet.

@@ProjectAyumiie There is Lore after 5.0? 😄 Talking generally about Aion Lore - it gets better the more you get into it. The game itself just does a bad job of explaining most stuff and therefore it's absolutely confusing for most players. I cannot count how many times I got asked why the player helped out tiamat's soldiers in the 4.x patch. 5.0 introduced the Archdaeva and the thought of it sounds good, but the way it was implemented was a bit silly and sloppy. A being that rivals or exceeds all Empyrean Lords yet nobody ever mentioned anything about it? Yea it was a sloppy attempt to create something cool, but if you look beyond how they introduced it, it actually is a good addition. I played 6.0 a lot which promised a new beginning, which didn't prove to be true with the Pay2win part... 😂

​@@Azphelgg I LOVE 5.0. What i ment was 6.0+ Lore, with Stella CORP etc. ._. Idk, it lost its magic... I miss the Asthetic of the old Lore. Of everything about Kharun etc. I dont like some Looks of the lords either. What i wanna talk about is the Book of Prophecy in Sanctum. It hints an alternative ending that was maybe plant in the back. The 5 Shedim and Empyrian Lords would have died in the end and then reveal the true "God" ? AION? Idk. You know what book i mean?

@@ProjectAyumiie In the end they themselves decided that the new lore was not what they wanted to go with and decided to basically retcon most of it and rewrite the story now with Aion Classic. Of course I know the famous book of prophecy, many theories are surrounding this book but nothin concrete is known. We even recently discussed it again whilst also talking about the mysterious prophet Kalil. He is only mentioned once in a casual talk to an NPC on the Elyos side, not even with a quest, just a random talk. And then he is also mentioned twice (I think) on the Asmodian side. This could mean that Kalil is probably only an unimportant character, but then there is a server existing called Kalil and servers are only named after Empyrean Lords or Brigade generals of entire regions or other very important characters. The NPC on the Elyos side talks about a book that Kalil apparently wrote that should uncover many secrets. But the book is nowhere to be found. However it turns out that the book is in the game files and simply was never put into the game. And it is written even more confusing than the book of prophecy we have in the game... 😂

Tab target is still quite popular because it doesn't require players to be constantly locked in and that does fit the MMORPG vibe, but I think it will go more into action combat.

Yea no pay2win is something that won't happen, too many people spending their livelihood in such games. Why make 10€ a month per player if you can make 500€ every month from certain people, it's a sad world but this is just how it is.

It is basically a second attempt at the story they tried to tell with retail Aion. It was never supposed to stay the way it was with 2.0 or so.

@@olkingsson It was classic up to 2.5 and now the story takes a different path.

That is something I can't answer, we only have this theobomos cinematic and the one from 5.0 where we actually see Fregion in a cinematic. Using the ingame models is also inaccurate because the Petralith shown in the theobomos cutscene and the petralith in Inggison are definitely not the same size (even though they should be) and also Fregion doesn't even have a ingame model yet. But powerwise when we look at the lore, fregion is the strongest being we know of in the aion universe. Maybe it's time for a powerranking video 🤔
