In a previous' story Xayah and Rakan have become corrupted by Zoe, and in an attempt to save both Xayah and the rest of the Star Guardians from Zoe's corruption, Rakan absorbs all of the corruptive powers into himself (while also banishing Zoe) and in return Xayah is purified.

So in the yearbook the girl with the big purple hair is not Senna but Rell (a metalbender). Rell and Quinn also got a skin that year eventhough they don't appear in the cinematics. At 28:30 under the rain from left to right is Quinn, Rell and Taliyah.
An interesting fact about the cinematic light and shadow - the song for it was written by the legendary composer Hiroyuki Sawano, who wrote a lot of music for the anime Attack on Titan.

For the Xayah/Rakan part, cmiiw, after the fight with Neeko, they're in pretty bad shape + using the corruped star guardian power that eats away their life (they both share the corruption half-half cuz couple) so Rakan chose to absorb all of the corruption into himself to save Xayah and kick her out of the crumbling dimension, leaving her alone and now corrupted-free (hence the song Everything Goes On; Rakan wants Xayah to move on from him because he's not the same guy she used to know anymore) Dunno if you've noticed yet, but the Star Guardian has multiple generation: Gen1: Ahri's team, which she's the only one left to survive Gen2: Lux's team Gen3: Kai'sa's team, the youngest + Xayah who's now corrupted-free There's also Akali who quit being a star guardian due to her condition
As a little foot note Neeko is canonically lesbian! She has many voicelines in the game where she compliments or flirts with other female characters. Neeko has had a previous relationship with Nidalee as well!
And Taliyah is transgender. It's never confirmed cause it's very risky for rito, they work in regions like UAE and rusia, but it's very obvious. And star guardian lore basically confirmed it.

Orianna might be that girl on the pendant that Singed was holding near the end of the finale of Arcane. While her lore is very similar, it might change with Arcane and have Singed as her father instead since he is obsessed with immortality. Makes sense with Orianna''s lore tied to him as well.
Absolutely, it's totally hinted both Orianna and Singed lore will adapt to it. So Orianna was Singed daughter with a terrible desease, reason why Singed would start working with shimmer trying to save her and of course Heimerdinger not able to relate or understand human feelings would despise this alteration leading to part ways with Singed and forcing him to work in the undercity where prolly Singed allied with Silco in a desperate need of funds to save her daughter while working in experimental other uses for shimmer such as of fighting upgrades. Afterall it's all stated in Arcane that shimmer can't be also used to heal (we saw it in Silco's eye and Vi's wounds) but of course can be used for worst things. What I'm eager to know is how does shimmer base it's obtained and tied to the void wich is actually the live lore in LoL game (void changing monsters and the rift itself) and how it will clash with humanity since void just... consumes everything. I unstertand all of Arcane-like series (however they will be named) will bring to us to understand the world of Runeterra and how they deal with the final clash vs the Void. Can't wait to see it develop, just hope I live enough to see it all!

the star guardian skins are one of the most beautiful skinlines with gorgeous effects in the game. Even though this is such a niche genre it is a big success for riot and that's why we got a very big event last summer for this with a big lore drop which makes Starguardians now the most explored lore aside from the canon lore. The fans asked many times for a full anime series but with Arcane this might be a bit much on top of that so instead we got the event last year.
Actually the most tragic story in my opinion is about Fiddlesticks. (That big smiley face in Akalis Cinnematic) I mean in the game he is the Demon of Fear (The 3. Powerful champion according to lore). In the Starguardian Lore he is (was) actually a girl named *Harp* . She stood with the first starguardians ( Zoe was a part of it) => Zoe is actually not evil at all. She saw what happened to Harp and found out that the only way to avoid the transformation is through corrupting the star guardians. You understand in Star Guardian Lore, the Guardians are Immortal (aslong as they manage to stay alive). But every Star has to dim. So if you live long enough, you get corrupted. So Harp turned into the Impersonation of Evil, imprisoned her (Geist) companion and preys on the star guardians and the universe. (sorry if there is missinformation but its been long since i was involved with the story)
There's also the star guardian Taliyah sessions trailer. I like Taliyah because she was originally designed to be a trans champion but obviously the world (and the big suits at Riot) wasn't ready for that yet. The Star Guardian event was the closest they got to being explicit about that aspect of her design.
To be fair, what is a trans character in this kind of world? Someone that identifies with the opposite sex and therefore.. dresses as the opposite sex? Because.. if that's the case, I guess that can make sense. But to me, IRL trans also means.. surgical procedures, drugs/hormones, etc.. which kinda seems unrealistic for the region. If they had made a trans Zaun character.. that'd make more sense, but Shurima? I don't know. Zeri would have been a decent character to have made something like that.

First and foremost: someone in our modern world can still be trans where no surgical procedures or access to gender affirming care exists. Trans people are also still trans if they opt out of procedures or hormone therapy, as not every trans person's experience leads them that way. It's comparable to suggesting that someone isn't actually gay until they've had same-sex funtimes, it's a shame that judging by appearance is what most folks like to think about when talking about trans individuals. The trans experience is more than an individual's ability to pass and should be respected as such. I appreciate that your comment doesn't seem like it's coming from any ill will though - just know that it would make fine sense to have a trans champ from any region.

Oh my. I´m a bit late to the party but let´s explain the SG lore a bit. It is a bit complicated because it isn´t exactly "fixed" but time flows from one team to the other. In the universe there are 2 forces, light and dark. To defend a city against darkness from time to time some "star Guardians" descend from the sky. The first video ("burning bright") is Lux´s team falling down. But even if in the videos Lux´s team is the first one, in the lore is among the newest teams (that´s why Lux is treated like an inexperienced leader). In the lore the members of the first team are still a mistery, we just know that Fiddlesticks was among them. Fiddle "lost her light" and became part of the darkness (in the lore they say that all stars eventually lose their light so it is implied all star guardians have a very high risk of falling to darkness). Those fallen are called Star Nemesis. Zoe saw fiddle´s fall and became a mad, semi-dark star guardian, whose sole objective is to corrup others to avoid becoming completely corrupted. It is heavily implied that Morgana was another member of that team that became a Star Nemesis herself. Some time later, Zoe succeds corrupting 2 members of Ahri´s original team: Xayah and Rakan and making a third one (neeko) dissapear. That´s why we see Ahri with 3 Star Guardian emblems in her hands in her videos. We Don´t know how many Star guardian teams descended between the first one and Ahri´s original team. We know that Neeko, Syndra and Janna are supposed to be older star guardians from one or some of those teams. And we now that Ahri managed to form a 2nd team, as seen in "New Horizon", with Miss Fortune as her second. Just as Lux´s team is descending, Zoe attacks Neeko in "Light and Shadows". Ahri comes to the rescue and manages to save both Neeko and Xayah, but in the process Rakan absorbs all the darkness from within those 2 and becomes a Star Nemesis Himself. After those events, Ahri´s team decide to partner and help Lux´s team. In Another city, Kai´sa and her best friend Akali received the call to form a Star Guardian team. We see fiddlestick´s "shadow" fighting Akali in "shadow of doubt" and managing to make Akali switch sides, becoming a Star Nemesis. So as for now the lore stays like that: Lux´s team training with Ahri´s new team; Xayah´s trying to get Rakan back and Kaisa´s trying to save Akali. And the current star nemesis are: Morgana, Rakan and Akali. Yeah, way too much text for a skin line, i know
I wish Riot games had explained these stories and events much more for external and internal people. Within the game there were interactive graphic novels and more that explained a lot of the story. and the majority who discover this beautiful part are left wanting more without knowing that there is much more information. I hope you really enjoy all this discovery about all the stories this game has to tell! (I speak Spanish, sorry if something is translated wrong) Things like the Ruined King event and Senna had a lot of story and had potential for an entire Movie or series. Maybe one day we can see more about that.

Lux "giving" the star to Kaisa. And etc , the enemies and why Akali and Kaisa fight , why Xayah lose Rakan and is "dead" , etc etc. League of legends has A really deep lore inclusive in his multiverses
This lore is very extensive, the girl with the purple afro in the last video is called Rell, she was one of the least worked on skins to be honest, there are other versions of the skins that also have some lore, Example syndra is purple, because she pretends to be evil, but the blue version with glitter is the "real" version of her, ekko also has another version but he doesn't have lore I think, Ahri also has another version/color more white with pastel colors because she is dead just like Lux, Their team leader powers were given to Kaisa and Xayah, and the apprentices are Seraphine and Taliyah.

It's a bit funny when you said that Morgana looks really evil. Bcs in her rework lore, her ideals are more compassionate and forgiving than her 'angel-like' sister. You should see Xayah's "motion comic: crossed destinies". It tells her star guardian story and how she "lost" Rakan. It has 4 episodes, it's like a star guardian miniseries. You will love it! Kisses from Brazil!! I love you
This is my all time favourite STORY! I really hope they will bring it back or even create a series about it. Also there's like a whole book with the star guardian lore. There are a lot of chapters and ALL the characters are in it.
Light and Shadow is my favourite Riot video ever. They got the GOAT of anime music himself, Hiroyuki Sawano to compose the music in this video, and the animation is so good, goosebumps everytime
prior to the new SG event came a short story of Ahris and Lux's team fighting back an attack from Zoe of Valorant City. Xayah and Rakhan are also there, deflecting Zoe and fight for the good side once more. Rakhan ends up sacrificing himself to drive Zoe back and he went missing. that is why he is also missing during the SG video where Xayah is in grief after loosing him. it is a great read as well, if you are interested on the sailor moon vibes: I thought so as well but they don't have that much in common with SM other than "girls transforming into cute heroines". the real inspiration for "star guardian" is "madoka magica". a relativly old magical girl series, that goes realy dark places as the story goes on. it is only 1 season as well, so it's bingable. you can see many similarities here like the downsides of becoming a magical girl (SG shine bright but tend to burn out fast) and the shadowrealm from some of the videos, where Akali and Xayah/Rakhan/Neeko is fighting. also Lux SG skin looks like a copy of madoka herself. that's realy on the nose here
a new horizon was the theme SG skin drop. Inspired by Sailor moon. I'm like OF course! Light and shadow was the skin drop for star nemesis Xayah( Zay-yuh) Rakan (Rah-kahn) was the two SG left behind to die on a monster planet. So they ended up becoming star nemesis
it's fascinating how all this started from a single skins (star guardian lux), it sold so well that they decided to make a skinline out of it which also became a big success and led to making different seasons for the skinline
There's actually deep lore behind this skinline but most of it come from in game event so if you want to know more it's better to watch some lore video on yt I guess but to summary the event star guardian came from the first light to fight darkness, star guardian power fade overtime and a new one will born, having multiple star guardian group exist at the same time means it's a bad omen for cataclysmic event in this case is zoey as a dark guardian corrupting star guardian right and left.

Also, their in game flirting banter is ADORABLE and kinda horny. They are THE lovebirds(pun kinda intended) of League of Legends. 12:40 Zoe is.......delightful cancer. When I want to make my lane opponent rage quit, I play Zoe. One of my favs, she can get lucky and annihilate a squishy champion in one single attack. 😂

ok i dont know the whole story but i dont see anyone else posting it so this is what i remember. there was a event a few years ago and just before it in a comic rakan absorbed all the "taint" that was in xayah to save her and it "killed" him. they ended up believing in he was not dead just somewhere else and had to go save him. also at the same time akali also got tainted and thought instead of purging it she could control it and left. i dont remember who but they decided to go after her. thats just a short version of it and i hope atlease im close. i would say go read it cause it is a great story line. i should go back and read it to refreash.

If you wanna know Star Guardians lore then I hope you like reading cause it's like 5 stories, 5 comics (that for some reason aren't linked on SG page so you have to go to the Comics page to read it) and a biography for each of SG members. And there was also the visual novel in LoL client and the only way to read this now is watch someone's playthrough on YT but I'm not sure how much more new lore it gives since I was too lazy too read it on my own 😭
Ahhhhh, shiiiiiite!!!! One of my FAVORITE things in the League Universe!!! I am so very much excited to see ya'll's reaction to these. As a once Jinx main, the SG skinline was precious to me from day one,even more so now that ai watch anime. How very fukn cool, ladies.
I would LOVE to explain so many thiiiiiings hahahha but its so much, from skin lore, to individual champions and regions, so here's just one: The 3 stones/gems Ahri is holding all the time are from her previous team (Neeko, Xayah and Rakan) that supposedly died during a fight vs Zoe. Zoe was once a Star Guardian that became tired of the cycle of new generations of Star Guardians coming and old ones eventually fading into darkness, like a star. Ahri had to flee the fight to survive and now feels forever guilty for what happened to her friends, which is why she talks about changing destiny and decides to go after her dead team, which we discover is alive in the cinematic for the year after. Miss Fortune also survived with Ahri, but she doesn't have as much attention as the main poster girl, Ahri. There's so much more AAAAAAAhH and it's interesting how they all have different personalities, for example Janna in the first Star Guardian skin line, and Syndra are the purple ones, which are associated with more mysterious and wise Star Guardians, that hold many dark secrets from the Star Guardians history.

Not me doing a lore deep dive for the star guardians In short the overall lore of the Star Guardians is that The First Star chooses people to protect the cosmos and eventually, as all Stars do, they burn out, and what's left is a monster, we didn't see him here but Fiddlesticks has a Star Nemesis skin that pre-burn out was a character named Harp who was part of the original Star Guardian team alongside Zoe, Syndra, Akshan, and Gwen. Zoe became "evil" in an attempt to stop the First Star from turning any other Star Guardians into monsters, via corrupting them like she did to Xayah and Rakan. Ahri's original team consisted of herself, Miss Fortune, Xayah, Rakan, and Neeko. But when Zoe attacked Xayah and Rakan fell to the corruption (they're still mad at Ahri for leaving them to die), and Neeko went into hiding, so Ahri assumed Neeko died as well, hence why she keeps holding onto the 3 Star Guardian gems (all the same colors as Neeko, Xayah, and Rakan's). When she made her new team still with Miss Fortune, Ezreal, Syndra (incognito mode), and Soraka. Then would come Lux's team with Lulu, Jinx, Poppy, and Janna, the more inexperienced team in comparison to Ahri's, and at this point, Zoe is still at large trying to get to all of them. Shortly down the timeline we reach Soraka getting her prestige version of her SG skin, where the loretext would tell us she saved someone, but at the cost of another. This would later be revealed that Rakan had essentially taken all of the corruption from inside Xayah and given it to himself, damning him to be lost to the corruption or die. This is what Xayah's new team is about, with Senna, Orianna, and Seraphine. She chose these 3 to help her save Rakan. This would give us their Uncorrupted versions (out of game drama, pc players, myself included, were mad as hell that Riot gave us the uncorrupted Xayah and Rakan skins...only for mobile, for about a year, when we've been wanting them since the skins came out in 2019). As for the huge skin dumb for 2022 with Kai'sa and Akali...off screen it is presumed that the entirety of Lux's team and tbh anyone that isn't Ahri, Syndra, or Miss Fortune, all died as there is a statue of Lux in the town center that Kai'sa would go talk to in search of guidance. Morgana is meant to be an antagonist for the new gen Star Guardians, their new teacher in disguise. She alongside Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks are attacking Valoran City and the new group is wildly unprepared. Kai'sa team consists of herself, Akali, Taliyah, Ekko, and Sona. Later we are introduced to transfer students Quinn and Rell, both of which are not shown in the cinematics so really, were they EVER important to the story? No they were not. And Nilah is an experience older Star Guardian that helps Kai'sa learn to lead her squad. Yadda Yadda the squad wins hooray, everyone's happy and Kai'sa gets a cameo of Ahri and Miss Fortune telling her good job, so we know they aren't dead. But we never see Ezreal or Lux's team (minus Lulu and Jinx) at all in any of the 2022 content. As for Lulu, Jinx, and Soraka, they appear in Legends of Runeterra where they are saving Gwen from whatever captivity she was being held in, but as of now Gwen and Akshan do not have a main pc Star Guardian skin. At the very end of the 2022 event Nilah is in space when she confronts Syndra, where we learn that Syndra is actually working for The Dark Star, which is a whole other skin line about dark cosmic forces destroying planets and whatnot.

ive always loved the lore for the star guardian skins bc yes the aesthetic of the skins is VERY cutesy and sailor moon but like other magical girl animes, the lore is a very tragic story. if they ever did animes/shows based on some of the skinlines, i would beg for them to make a series of the star guardians. out of the all the skinlines, star guardians lore has ALWAYS been my top favorite.

Star Guardian Urgot still the best Star Guardian! much of the lore is not explained in the videos, for that you'd have to read all the lore they have on the site. but if you are interested in a deep dive into leagues lore, be it SG or just regular league/Runeterra, i can only recommend you our lore and savior(pun intended) Necrit. he has lore videos to almost all the skin universes and other background information.
Ah yes, Star guardians. So beatiful (i can still see beauty even if i am a man and not really a fan of magic girls), but yet sometimes so sad. I cried when i watched Everything Goes On first time and i still crying now (cause yeah, Rakan did die protecting Xayah. Also have to point out, in this universe Seraphine (with yellow hair, singer girl) is a empath - she can understand persons feelings just by touching them, so she felt all Xayah despair and saddness and tries to comfort her the best she can). There is some moments that never stop touching ur heart and soul, no matter what. Also some side-notes about new to u characters. Sona is indeed the mage that use music (u also see her briefly in Ryze Call of Power cinematic) and she also mute. She communicates with her art. Sadly now she is a bit overshadowed by Seraphine in-game, cause their skills is kinda simular but Seraphine does things better? thats why people called her Sona 2.0. when u choose her in-game, her creetings phrase is "Only u can hear me, Summoner! What masterpiece shall we play today?" As for Orianna, she was born in Zaun and had severe illness due to polluted air. Her father spend his life to bit by bit replace parts of her body to mechanical ones and give her new life, Hpwever that had a side effect - as not truly human, she cant fully understand their emotions and feelings. An interesting fact about the cinematic light and shadow - the song for it was written by the legendary composer Hiroyuki Sawano, who wrote a lot of music for the anime Attack on Titan.

cmiiw, after the fight with Neeko, they're in pretty bad shape + using the corruped star guardian power that eats away their life (they both share the corruption half-half cuz couple) so Rakan chose to absorb all of the corruption into himself to save Xayah and kick her out of the crumbling dimension, leaving her alone and now corrupted-free (hence the song Everything Goes On; Rakan wants Xayah to move on from him because he's not the same guy she used to know anymore)
Dunno if you've noticed yet, but the Star Guardian has multiple generation:
Gen1: Ahri's team, which she's the only one left to survive
Gen2: Lux's team
Gen3: Kai'sa's team, the youngest + Xayah who's now corrupted-free
There's also Akali who quit being a star guardian due to her condition

Orianna might be that girl on the pendant that Singed was holding near the end of the finale of Arcane. While her lore is very similar, it might change with Arcane and have Singed as her father instead since he is obsessed with immortality. Makes sense with Orianna''s lore tied to him as well.
Absolutely, it's totally hinted both Orianna and Singed lore will adapt to it. So Orianna was Singed daughter with a terrible desease, reason why Singed would start working with shimmer trying to save her and of course Heimerdinger not able to relate or understand human feelings would despise this alteration leading to part ways with Singed and forcing him to work in the undercity where prolly Singed allied with Silco in a desperate need of funds to save her daughter while working in experimental other uses for shimmer such as of fighting upgrades.
Afterall it's all stated in Arcane that shimmer can't be also used to heal (we saw it in Silco's eye and Vi's wounds) but of course can be used for worst things.
What I'm eager to know is how does shimmer base it's obtained and tied to the void wich is actually the live lore in LoL game (void changing monsters and the rift itself) and how it will clash with humanity since void just... consumes everything. I unstertand all of Arcane-like series (however they will be named) will bring to us to understand the world of Runeterra and how they deal with the final clash vs the Void.
Can't wait to see it develop, just hope I live enough to see it all!
Jinx x Lux is a couple loved by the community, the reason comes from this skinline, even though they have never met in lore.
It's so cringy. I got their ship in SG universe, their dynamic there is everything. But in canon lore they have nothing cute together. Lux would Final Sparked her for all she done for civilian people.

the star guardian skins are one of the most beautiful skinlines with gorgeous effects in the game. Even though this is such a niche genre it is a big success for riot and that's why we got a very big event last summer for this with a big lore drop which makes Starguardians now the most explored lore aside from the canon lore. The fans asked many times for a full anime series but with Arcane this might be a bit much on top of that so instead we got the event last year.

Actually the most tragic story in my opinion is about Fiddlesticks. (That big smiley face in Akalis Cinnematic)
I mean in the game he is the Demon of Fear (The 3. Powerful champion according to lore).
In the Starguardian Lore he is (was) actually a girl named *Harp* . She stood with the first starguardians ( Zoe was a part of it)
=> Zoe is actually not evil at all. She saw what happened to Harp and found out that the only way to avoid the transformation is through corrupting the star guardians.
You understand in Star Guardian Lore, the Guardians are Immortal (aslong as they manage to stay alive). But every Star has to dim. So if you live long enough, you get corrupted. So Harp turned into the Impersonation of Evil, imprisoned her (Geist) companion and preys on the star guardians and the universe.
(sorry if there is missinformation but its been long since i was involved with the story)
There's also the star guardian Taliyah sessions trailer. I like Taliyah because she was originally designed to be a trans champion but obviously the world (and the big suits at Riot) wasn't ready for that yet. The Star Guardian event was the closest they got to being explicit about that aspect of her design.

To be fair, what is a trans character in this kind of world? Someone that identifies with the opposite sex and therefore.. dresses as the opposite sex?
Because.. if that's the case, I guess that can make sense. But to me, IRL trans also means.. surgical procedures, drugs/hormones, etc.. which kinda seems unrealistic for the region.
If they had made a trans Zaun character.. that'd make more sense, but Shurima? I don't know. Zeri would have been a decent character to have made something like that.

First and foremost: someone in our modern world can still be trans where no surgical procedures or access to gender affirming care exists. Trans people are also still trans if they opt out of procedures or hormone therapy, as not every trans person's experience leads them that way. It's comparable to suggesting that someone isn't actually gay until they've had same-sex funtimes, it's a shame that judging by appearance is what most folks like to think about when talking about trans individuals. The trans experience is more than an individual's ability to pass and should be respected as such.

Trans people have always been around even before surgeries, drugs and hormones. They have been around since ancient times so it is very realistic for the region.
Oh my. I´m a bit late to the party but let´s explain the SG lore a bit. It is a bit complicated because it isn´t exactly "fixed" but time flows from one team to the other. In the universe there are 2 forces, light and dark. To defend a city against darkness from time to time some "star Guardians" descend from the sky. The first video ("burning bright") is Lux´s team falling down. But even if in the videos Lux´s team is the first one, in the lore is among the newest teams (that´s why Lux is treated like an inexperienced leader).
In the lore the members of the first team are still a mistery, we just know that Fiddlesticks was among them. Fiddle "lost her light" and became part of the darkness (in the lore they say that all stars eventually lose their light so it is implied all star guardians have a very high risk of falling to darkness). Those fallen are called Star Nemesis. Zoe saw fiddle´s fall and became a mad, semi-dark star guardian, whose sole objective is to corrup others to avoid becoming completely corrupted. It is heavily implied that Morgana was another member of that team that became a Star Nemesis herself.
Some time later, Zoe succeds corrupting 2 members of Ahri´s original team: Xayah and Rakan and making a third one (neeko) dissapear. That´s why we see Ahri with 3 Star Guardian emblems in her hands in her videos. We Don´t know how many Star guardian teams descended between the first one and Ahri´s original team. We know that Neeko, Syndra and Janna are supposed to be older star guardians from one or some of those teams. And we now that Ahri managed to form a 2nd team, as seen in "New Horizon", with Miss Fortune as her second.
Just as Lux´s team is descending, Zoe attacks Neeko in "Light and Shadows". Ahri comes to the rescue and manages to save both Neeko and Xayah, but in the process Rakan absorbs all the darkness from within those 2 and becomes a Star Nemesis Himself. After those events, Ahri´s team decide to partner and help Lux´s team.
In Another city, Kai´sa and her best friend Akali received the call to form a Star Guardian team. We see fiddlestick´s "shadow" fighting Akali in "shadow of doubt" and managing to make Akali switch sides, becoming a Star Nemesis.
So as for now the lore stays like that: Lux´s team training with Ahri´s new team; Xayah´s trying to get Rakan back and Kaisa´s trying to save Akali. And the current star nemesis are: Morgana, Rakan and Akali. Yeah, way too much text for a skin line, i know
I wish Riot games had explained these stories and events much more for external and internal people. Within the game there were interactive graphic novels and more that explained a lot of the story. and the majority who discover this beautiful part are left wanting more without knowing that there is much more information. I hope you really enjoy all this discovery about all the stories this game has to tell! (I speak Spanish, sorry if something is translated wrong) Things like the Ruined King event and Senna had a lot of story and had potential for an entire Movie or series. Maybe one day we can see more about that.

Lux "giving" the star to Kaisa. And etc , the enemies and why Akali and Kaisa fight , why Xayah lose Rakan and is "dead" , etc etc. League of legends has A really deep lore inclusive in his multiverses

This lore is very extensive, the girl with the purple afro in the last video is called Rell, she was one of the least worked on skins to be honest, there are other versions of the skins that also have some lore, Example syndra is purple, because she pretends to be evil, but the blue version with glitter is the "real" version of her, ekko also has another version but he doesn't have lore I think, Ahri also has another version/color more white with pastel colors because she is dead just like Lux, Their team leader powers were given to Kaisa and Xayah, and the apprentices are Seraphine and Taliyah.

Light and Shadow is my favourite Riot video ever. They got the GOAT of anime music himself, Hiroyuki Sawano to compose the music in this video, and the animation is so good, goosebumps everytime
prior to the new SG event came a short story of Ahris and Lux's team fighting back an attack from Zoe of Valorant City. Xayah and Rakhan are also there, deflecting Zoe and fight for the good side once more. Rakhan ends up sacrificing himself to drive Zoe back and he went missing. that is why he is also missing during the SG video where Xayah is in grief after loosing him. it is a great read as well, if you are interested
on the sailor moon vibes: I thought so as well but they don't have that much in common with SM other than "girls transforming into cute heroines". the real inspiration for "star guardian" is "madoka magica". a relativly old magical girl series, that goes realy dark places as the story goes on. it is only 1 season as well, so it's bingable. you can see many similarities here like the downsides of becoming a magical girl (SG shine bright but tend to burn out fast) and the shadowrealm from some of the videos, where Akali and Xayah/Rakhan/Neeko is fighting. also Lux SG skin looks like a copy of madoka herself. that's realy on the nose here

There's actually deep lore behind this skinline but most of it come from in game event so if you want to know more it's better to watch some lore video on yt I guess but to summary the event star guardian came from the first light to fight darkness, star guardian power fade overtime and a new one will born, having multiple star guardian group exist at the same time means it's a bad omen for cataclysmic event in this case is zoey as a dark guardian corrupting star guardian right and left.

ok i dont know the whole story but i dont see anyone else posting it so this is what i remember. there was a event a few years ago and just before it in a comic rakan absorbed all the "taint" that was in xayah to save her and it "killed" him. they ended up believing in he was not dead just somewhere else and had to go save him. also at the same time akali also got tainted and thought instead of purging it she could control it and left. i dont remember who but they decided to go after her. thats just a short version of it and i hope atlease im close. i would say go read it cause it is a great story line. i should go back and read it to refreash.

And there was also the visual novel in LoL client and the only way to read this now is watch someone's playthrough on YT but I'm not sure how much more new lore it gives since I was too lazy too read it on my own 😭

I would LOVE to explain so many thiiiiiings hahahha but its so much, from skin lore, to individual champions and regions, so here's just one:
The 3 stones/gems Ahri is holding all the time are from her previous team (Neeko, Xayah and Rakan) that supposedly died during a fight vs Zoe. Zoe was once a Star Guardian that became tired of the cycle of new generations of Star Guardians coming and old ones eventually fading into darkness, like a star. Ahri had to flee the fight to survive and now feels forever guilty for what happened to her friends, which is why she talks about changing destiny and decides to go after her dead team, which we discover is alive in the cinematic for the year after. Miss Fortune also survived with Ahri, but she doesn't have as much attention as the main poster girl, Ahri.
There's so much more AAAAAAAhH and it's interesting how they all have different personalities, for example Janna in the first Star Guardian skin line, and Syndra are the purple ones, which are associated with more mysterious and wise Star Guardians, that hold many dark secrets from the Star Guardians history.
Ooh I wish they had seen Star Guardian Fiddlesticks, his design is super fun. I love the Star Guardian skins and all the stuff they make around it. Now that there are so many characters there is a lot of lore that doesn't even make it into the main videos they put out lol

Not me doing a lore deep dive for the star guardians
In short the overall lore of the Star Guardians is that The First Star chooses people to protect the cosmos and eventually, as all Stars do, they burn out, and what's left is a monster, we didn't see him here but Fiddlesticks has a Star Nemesis skin that pre-burn out was a character named Harp who was part of the original Star Guardian team alongside Zoe, Syndra, Akshan, and Gwen. Zoe became "evil" in an attempt to stop the First Star from turning any other Star Guardians into monsters, via corrupting them like she did to Xayah and Rakan.
Ahri's original team consisted of herself, Miss Fortune, Xayah, Rakan, and Neeko. But when Zoe attacked Xayah and Rakan fell to the corruption (they're still mad at Ahri for leaving them to die), and Neeko went into hiding, so Ahri assumed Neeko died as well, hence why she keeps holding onto the 3 Star Guardian gems (all the same colors as Neeko, Xayah, and Rakan's). When she made her new team still with Miss Fortune, Ezreal, Syndra (incognito mode), and Soraka.
Then would come Lux's team with Lulu, Jinx, Poppy, and Janna, the more inexperienced team in comparison to Ahri's, and at this point, Zoe is still at large trying to get to all of them.
Shortly down the timeline we reach Soraka getting her prestige version of her SG skin, where the loretext would tell us she saved someone, but at the cost of another. This would later be revealed that Rakan had essentially taken all of the corruption from inside Xayah and given it to himself, damning him to be lost to the corruption or die.
This is what Xayah's new team is about, with Senna, Orianna, and Seraphine. She chose these 3 to help her save Rakan. This would give us their Uncorrupted versions (out of game drama, pc players, myself included, were mad as hell that Riot gave us the uncorrupted Xayah and Rakan skins...only for mobile, for about a year, when we've been wanting them since the skins came out in 2019).
As for the huge skin dumb for 2022 with Kai'sa and Akali...off screen it is presumed that the entirety of Lux's team and tbh anyone that isn't Ahri, Syndra, or Miss Fortune, all died as there is a statue of Lux in the town center that Kai'sa would go talk to in search of guidance. Morgana is meant to be an antagonist for the new gen Star Guardians, their new teacher in disguise. She alongside Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks are attacking Valoran City and the new group is wildly unprepared.
Kai'sa team consists of herself, Akali, Taliyah, Ekko, and Sona. Later we are introduced to transfer students Quinn and Rell, both of which are not shown in the cinematics so really, were they EVER important to the story? No they were not. And Nilah is an experience older Star Guardian that helps Kai'sa learn to lead her squad.
Yadda Yadda the squad wins hooray, everyone's happy and Kai'sa gets a cameo of Ahri and Miss Fortune telling her good job, so we know they aren't dead. But we never see Ezreal or Lux's team (minus Lulu and Jinx) at all in any of the 2022 content.
As for Lulu, Jinx, and Soraka, they appear in Legends of Runeterra where they are saving Gwen from whatever captivity she was being held in, but as of now Gwen and Akshan do not have a main pc Star Guardian skin.
At the very end of the 2022 event Nilah is in space when she confronts Syndra, where we learn that Syndra is actually working for The Dark Star, which is a whole other skin line about dark cosmic forces destroying planets and whatnot.

ive always loved the lore for the star guardian skins bc yes the aesthetic of the skins is VERY cutesy and sailor moon but like other magical girl animes, the lore is a very tragic story. if they ever did animes/shows based on some of the skinlines, i would beg for them to make a series of the star guardians. out of the all the skinlines, star guardians lore has ALWAYS been my top favorite.
Another alternative universe/skin line they might like to watch would be Odyssey with Jinx

much of the lore is not explained in the videos, for that you'd have to read all the lore they have on the site. but if you are interested in a deep dive into leagues lore, be it SG or just regular league/Runeterra, i can only recommend you our lore and savior(pun intended) Necrit. he has lore videos to almost all the skin universes and other background information.
Ah yes, Star guardians. So beatiful (i can still see beauty even if i am a man and not really a fan of magic girls), but yet sometimes so sad. I cried when i watched Everything Goes On first time and i still crying now (cause yeah, Rakan did die protecting Xayah. Also have to point out, in this universe Seraphine (with yellow hair, singer girl) is a empath - she can understand persons feelings just by touching them, so she felt all Xayah despair and saddness and tries to comfort her the best she can). There is some moments that never stop touching ur heart and soul, no matter what.
Also some side-notes about new to u characters. Sona is indeed the mage that use music (u also see her briefly in Ryze Call of Power cinematic) and she also mute. She communicates with her art. Sadly now she is a bit overshadowed by Seraphine in-game, cause their skills is kinda simular but Seraphine does things better? thats why people called her Sona 2.0. when u choose her in-game, her creetings phrase is "Only u can hear me, Summoner! What masterpiece shall we play today?"
As for Orianna, she was born in Zaun and had severe illness due to polluted air. Her father spend his life to bit by bit replace parts of her body to mechanical ones and give her new life, Hpwever that had a side effect - as not truly human, she cant fully understand their emotions and feelings.

in light and shadow music video, the little evil pirple girl is the one of my pfp and my favorit character is call zoe, in the star guardian lore, she corrupted star guardian for make the good star guardian stop to fight, because the best friend of zoe, getting corrupted by scary and she transform into a monster, so zoe try to save all star guardian to stop being like this, she wont anymore die like her best friend, its for that : zoe is the best girl i love my cutie baby ;w;
