This version of Warriors is one of the best video game "cinematics" ever made. It's up there with the Cyberpunk 2077 teaser and Star Wars the Old Republic promo cinematics.
This video is a very important lore for Lux, it's the first time ever she reveals openly that she can use magic, since she is a demacian and has always been hiding it. Is so good to see her releasing her powers and fighting side to side with Garen(her brother). Actually there are a lot of mages hiding from the mage seekers in the courts of Demacia, there is a civil war going on right now of people that hates mages and the ones that simpatize with them. And you were right Meesh! Lux did summon Galio with her powers ;)
So funny story, Lux and Jinx are actually friends and teammates in one of the game's alternate universes and have some fun interactions in cinematics like "You Really Got Me," so they have become a semi-popular ship of their own lol
You guys watched the Kin of the Stain Blade video and saw that Yasuo let the elder Souma die, and was then chased by his brother Yone as punishment for that, leading to other things following. The character Riven is a Noxian swordsman who participated in the invasion of Ionia, after which she was betrayed and lost faith in Noxus. She brought the sword to Souma to destroy, so she could cut off her connection to Noxus. However, an accident occurred, causing the elder Souma to die and Yasuo to be blamed (he was supposed to protect Souma, but instead found himself on the battlefield because of his aggressive nature). In the end, Riven was forgiven by Ionia and adopted by the old couple because their biological children died fighting against Noxus. However, after the war, the Noxian army came and captured Riven for her crime, which is why she was locked in the arena for fun. During the Noxus - Ionia war, Irelia was the one who cut off the arm of Swain, the leader of the invasion, from which she became the leader of the resistance. Meanwhile, Karma is the spiritual leader of the Ionians.
Additional information: Noxus was bogged down in war, so they asked Singed to create a chemical bomb to drop on Ionia. That not only killed the Ionian warriors, but also caused all of Riven's teammates to die. That's why she lost all faith in Noxus.

The 'PERFECTION' is about Jhin's part in the cinematic is how his four shots are actually tied into it - each shot is made to lead Camille into where Jhin wants her to go, from rappelling up into the air and over the chandelier where more of his traps are set, and finally during the bow it shows he still has his fourth and final shot, the finale to his show as it were. "On carnage I bloom, like a flower in the dawn", "I don't kill anyone, it is the performance that kills, they will dance!"-JHIN
I never played League but everything I heard and saw about Jhin is amazing. A perfectionist serial killer with an Obsession with the number 4 with a cool mask who always want to make his kills a show? Amazing concept and execution. I hope we see more animations with him.
If you care about the lore behind the cinematics i highly recommend some Necrit videos.. He does videos breaking down the cinematics to every little detail. He is the master when it comes to league lore. Love the reactions btw!
You mentioned magic is looked down upon in Demacia, so you wanted to know the story behind Lux being a mage. You're in luck! There's a whole series of comics that tell that story called "Lux" (and a follow-up game called Mageseeker that follows Sylas and picks up where the comic finishes). Demacia is one my favourite regions. Sylas was imprisoned in Demacia for being a mage. Lux (which is Garens sister) traded with Sylas, she gave him information on the outside world whilst he taught her how to use her powers. She was born with mage powers but hid it from everyone as its frowned upon. She and Garen also come from one of the most powerful and rich families in Demacia. Sylas later manipulated her and betrayed her(this is shown in the cinematic.) Unfortunately, he never realised how powerful of a mage Lux really is.
yeah, leagues stance on what side should be good is really weird on this one. Lux is obviously supposed to represent the peaceful side and Sylas the extremist side. The issue primarily is that they constantly display Sylas as the bad guy while Lux essentially does nothing to actually change Demacia. Keep in mind that Sylas isn’t fighting for some mage supremacy or to wipe out all non-magic users but to stop the oppression and genocide of magic users although he is a bit power hungry in the literal sense. Hell, his backstory is literally being arrested because of an accident while trying to protect a young mage from mage seekers who essentially weaponized him to hunt down other mages. The Mageseekers are really f***** up but they have yet to make a mage seeker champion to properly be an inner villain for Demacia so it’s still Sylas.
@@DefinitivelyNotCthulhu something that league does great is providing you with both sides of the story and why the characters believe that what they are doing is right. Arcane is a great show to present this, Zaun is supposed to be the “bad side” but they’re only fighting to have their individuality and to protect their people. Kayle’s and Morgana’s is also very great and showing this, Kayle is very strong in her ideologies, she believes justice should always be served, whereas Morgana believes people should have a second chance. Obviously there are bad and evil characters in the league lore but usually when it comes to 2 characters sharing a story it’s left for interpretation and letting you decide on which side you think is right.
These are my two very favorite League Cinematics, I'm so glad you guys enjoyed them as much as I do! Vi and Caitlyn's scenes are obviously the highlight as an Arcane fan but the rest of Warriors is also outstanding. Awaken has some of the prettiest fighting animated ever, and both videos have the fights timed precisely to the music for fun moments like the Riven headbutt and Vi punches. From Awaken my favorite storyline is Jhin and Camille, the lovely intricate set-up and final reveal of Jhin having his gun behind his back, fourth shot (ultimate ability) at the ready, it's such elegant storytelling with no dialogue.
As your local lore nerd know it all, i can confirm that you two know lore better than like 70% of league players at this point (even if you can't name EVERY single champion)😂

The mage (Lux) part is even more chill giving if you know the lore; Basically she's a royal in a land where magic is forbidden, the big knight is her brother, Garen. She has to keep her magic hidden and secret; then she meets Sylas (the chains one) and more or less accidentally frees him as he wants to bring magic back to the land. This shows her overcoming fear to save her brother and the kingdom from the fate of war breaking out.
On a random note, I love that Irrellia's introduction close up shows that she has blue eyes and how that could play into Arcane's Caitlyn, as her father is Ionian, so Cassandra's blue eyes were passed on. Yes, I know it's a magical world, but I like that there's a genetic connection there too!
Hello, I come to deliver information, these movies, apart from starting the new seasons, also mean that they update the lore, these comics or novels are on the LOL page. Kaisa appears because the void is arising (taking into account that she comes from the void) and they tell us about her duel against the void and how she is not equal to other humans and she is afraid of people, but in this scene with Ezreal (the blonde man), she felt something she had never felt which is supposed to be a crush but it is not specified but they do show a relationship, because Ezreal thanks her and he has great charm and humor despite that he can die, they attract each other, but we are never told about a crush:) but there are signs hahaha
Finally u here! Lux and Sylas got her share in comments below, so ill cover a bit those who arent - Ezreal (blond guy with Kaisa), Urgot (the spider-like creature that Vi and Caitlyn fight) and Galio. Ezreal is an explorer that travels around the world and gather magical artifacts (sorta like Indiana Jones). Also he is in love with Lux. Urgot is former Noxus High Executioner (now this position is owned by Draven), who was betrayed and thrown into deep mines below Zaun to die, but he survived. The thing in his bell is a hook attached to a grinder - his ingame ultimate is hook u and then drag into his belly to grind. And finally Galio - he is insanely large colossus made from petricide (material that absorbs magic) and he was awakened by Lux. He is very cheerful thought. Also a bit of lore - in game (League of Legends) it plays as sort of competition - 2 teams of powerful mages (summoners) choose and summon their champion amongst the powerfull beings of this world (to compare there is normal people, like Caitlyn and Vi, and there is literall gods and death incarnate). Also for that reason their powers get nerfed and so their size (cause as u saw on the picture, Galio is BIG.)

yay so happy you guys liked it! these are amazing, I still remember how happy I was to see Vi and Cait in a cinematic for the first time so many years ago (I do love their Arcane design much better tho). If you guys haven't looked into Morgana and Kayle story I suggest knowing that before watching still here, also knowing about Kindred's lore makes the cinematic 1000x better!
I'm not sure if you'd like to check Necrit's video (he's our League lore guru) but he has one that's friendly for people new to the lore that explains all the regions called "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done". He made the video because of League's game that's in-making but it's good at showing the world and its lore (for example where hextech gems are from). He's also got one about differences between Arcane and official lore - everything in Arcane is cannon now so Riot needs to fix it.
Sylas can absorb magic with his chain-gauntlets and use it himself, when he blocks Garen's hit you can see him absorbing some, the yellow light. The light sword he later uses is that magic, which Garen is using sort of without realizing it himself :-) Galio is a statue in Demacia that wakes up when a lot of magic is used, so Lux woke him up by casting that big beam of light in the sky.
Urgot was betrayed by Swain (leader of noxus) and sent to Zaun, where he was imprisoned. In the prison, he began augmenting himself into the monstrous figure he is now. Urgot believes only the strong should survive and seeks to impose his brutal vision of order on the world. Watch the latest cinematic that got aatrox. His lore is so deep and sad at the same time
The guy with the chains is not from Freljord. He's from Demacia and he's one of the most interesting characters lore wise, his story would be good for a series like Arcane. I recommend checking out his cinematics and storyboards: Sylas: The Unshackled | Champion Trailer - League of Legends Magic is Rising: Stand With Sylas | League of Legends These 2 show pretty good insight on what's happening in warriors
I think you guys would love Riven's lore - there are a lot of short stories for her, and I'm hoping we'll see more of her in the next animated series if we do wind up going to Noxus!
Awaken: Jhin and Camille: Piltover, Jhin is from Ionia originally but he’s a serial killer who sees the beauty in death- Camille is an enforcer (same as Caitlyn) but works for one of the main houses of Piltover specifically Girl with blades (Irelia) vs big dead dude (Sion) the Noxian (Sion is from Noxus) invasion of Ionia, Sion is technically an undead warlord, that has been resurrected and is leading the charge into Ionia (who killed him? Jarvan’s ancestor, Jarvan I’s crown is Sion’s jaw), Irelia is a blade dancer who has transformed the cultural heritage of Ionia into a battle tactic after the death of her family at the hands of the invaders, she’s one of the leaders of the resistance , the white thing that lands on her hand is rumoured to contain the spirit of the dead, symbolising what she’s fighting for (her dead family) Gladiator scene in Noxus: Draven (dude with strong jawline and spinning axes) vs Riven (girl with the broken sword) Riven was a solider of Noxus but chose to run away during the invasion of Noxus, accidentally killing Yasuo’s master in the process and leaving him to be perceived as a traitor for not protecting his master (basically her blade is cursed or some shit and yasuo’s master was trying to undo it but ended up backfiring it and killing him with his own wind magic and only him and Yasuo could use wind magic) Draven is the king of gladiators. Basically Riven has been captured by Noxus and sent to the gladiator to fight until she dies as punishment for abandoning her post, Draven wants to be the one to kill the traitor
You are right Demacia forbid magic, so lux as a daughter of one of the noble houses in Demacia born a mage is a problem, she have 5 issues comic that you can read, it's a really good story giving context about Demacian culture and it's politic regarding mages, in fact the story was so good that they made a game as a continuation of that story starring Sylas called the mageseeker.
Just a heads up there is a seperate game called Mageseeker which tells the story that leads up to the events in Warriors, particularly in regards to Lux and Sylas. Basically it tells the story of the mage rebellion in Demacia which is a recent event. Very good game but it is quite difficult.

I looked for a little and didn't notice anyone explain, sorry if someone already has, but the lady that is apart of Jhin's scene in AWAKENED is not Evelynn. The lady is named Camille and is actually from Piltover. I will say if you see a champion with a skin / a video from a skinline, then the video isn't apart of the actual lore nor are the skins from the skinlines. So things like KDA, or the other music groups, Star Guardian, PROJECT, etc all those aren't apart of the main actual lore, so they never show up in cinematics or videos that involve actual lore building or visualizations of what happened in the lore. Of course not knowing all the champions or what they look like its hard to tell when you first see them if that is what they actually look like lore wise, but just a heads up for if you do notice a champion but it has a skin then its more often than not not apart of the lore (Though there are some exceptions but they are far and few between and I really can only think of one video that has some lore events shown in it and then scenes that Riot has said isn't actual lore but hypothetical).
Something that should probably be clarified. A mage in game, and a mage in the world of runetara are different. In game a mage is just a character that relies almost entirely on abilities to do damage and does magic damage, but in the lore a mage is a magic user. So if you are looking at the lol character pages and see mage it might not actually mean that they are one of the mages referenced in arcane. for example kai'sa is not a mage in the lore, but she can build AP and uses a lot of spells so she could be counted as a mage in game. Hope that all makes sense!
I love them showing Lux go against Sylas. In the lore. Lux's people are anti magic, so you can imagine it would be a brave thing for her to show she has it. She sympathized with Sylas who was imprisoned for his, but he's bad. His magic is that he steals another's ult, so that glowing sword he was holding is like Garen's. And I guess it take magic to bring Galio to life.
Magic is looked down on in demacia, the war theyre having is demacians vs mages but lux is an undercover mage living in a high status demacian family. There is a comic you can read its quite short that explains the lore !!
In case you remember Annie, well what happened after that horrible tragedy was that she wandered through the forests of Noxus, until she was found by Vladimir who took her to an orphanage for children with magic, and don't worry, even if it doesn't seem like it, he is very kind and her orphanages are very good

But i very much recommend that you read the stories of some of those characters closely before watching, or after then watch again. Warriors is my favorite cinematic of all! 🥰If you want to learn a little bit more about these 2 cinematics lore (specially Warriors), you can check Dinka Kay video explaining it. She knows a lot of Runeterra's lore and it's entertaining the way she explains it, too. 😄

I might be missremembering slightly, but Riven was a Noxian general who got knocked out in an earlier battle in Ionia. She was nursed back to health by some locals, and as gratitude she put down her sword (which is shattered, but can't break entirely as its magical) and just took up the quiet life and helped out on her care-giver's farm. During the second invasion of Ionia, she was arrested by the Noxians trying to protect the farm and was sentenced to death in the Gladiator pit, but did not die. I can't remember if that earned her freedom or if she escaped, but she cut her ties with the Noxian military.
If you want to know more in depth lore I highly recommend watching Necrit videos. He's amazing in explaining lore and deepdiving into cinematics to take them apart. You don't have to react to it on here, even just watching for youself because his videos are really well made and just fun to watch and explore the lore of Riot cinematics
4:25 I hate the end card in TH-cam as well. Used to be able to turn them off directly in TH-cam settings but not anymore. I had to add an extension in order to block those cards. "Unhook - Remove TH-cam Recommended & Shorts" is the name of the extension. Can do a lot of different things but I mainly have it just to turn off the end cards.
Garen is Lux's older brother, not dad. And that champ with chains is Sylas and he is from Demacia like Garen or Lux. Demacia ban magic and all mages are prisoners. They must hiding their power... like Lux until now. Sylas is rly pissed from this. Lux and him has a short comics. Very beautiful. And yeah, Sylas was prisoner too, but he escape. Lux uses her power to bring Galio in the last sec, bcs she can't let Sylas kill her brother whatever it costs. Even if she go to the prison. But hey, she is member of Royal Guard, very high-ranking family. She's literally princess. How Morgana said "Demacia has learned only the bad things." | That's bcs magic was allowed in Demacia in past ages. Idk why they ban it. People are born with arcana (magic). Morgana is something like demigod btw. Riven is Noxian soldier, but they betrayed her in siege of Ionia and she want become one of them. Live in peace, but (idk how) they catch her and place into arena like we saw. His friend and.. i think master, if i remember right, was Yasuo. That one Yordle with electric power is Kenen, the member of order Kinkou like Akali. Kinkou is literally warriors of peace and they guard balance in Ionia between their world and the world of spirits, whitch has rly strong power in this region. You must respect the region and be peaceful to him. If you not, he hurt you and may make you worse things then death. Remember, he can't just hurt you physically, but also in spirit. There are many more possibilities of very, very long and cruel punishments that the region can do to you. And now I'm talking about the region, about nature, not about people. Ionia is alive. Karma is something like Mage Master in Ionia. Very peaceful, but strong woman ready to fight against dark powers and defend their homes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All that lore and comics are at official LoL web. Lore of whole regions too and global map of Runeterra too. I rly like their lore. Oh they are hitting the big ones now lol - Quick note - you were right about Demacia having issues with Mages. They are "the" Mage Hunters. The fact Lux used Magic is a big, big issue. But she felt she needed to, to save Garen (Her Brother).
I forgot the story of Sylas, it is very sad in summary, in Demasia they imprison magicians just for being magicians, and Sylas was one, but he managed to escape and murdered the king of Demasia and now leads the rebellion of magicians, that is why he went to Freijold to look for reinforcements

If you guys are wondering about lux being a mage in demacia is because she is royalty they kept it a secret to the empire only her family including her brother garen knows she is a mage and for sylas the reason why he was fighting against other demacian is because he was imprisoned because he was a mage, he escaped when lux visited him from his cell and sylas took advantage and took her powers to free himself and the other mages of demacia and he started a revolution to take down demacia
The Awaken, Warriors, The Call, Still Here Cinematic are canon to Arcane Universe. Just like Riot Forge Games: Song of Nunu;.... Ps Frerjord parts from these cinematics are happening in present time as Riot Forge Song of Nunu.
For the scene with Lux and Garen (theyre siblings) against Sylas, Lux trusted Sylas (guy with chains) and he would teach her some magic and how to use her abilities I believe. In Demacia theyre bascially racist towards mages/those who use magic and emprisoned Sylas. Reason why Lux was not fighting back was because her powers are magic based but after seeing Garen about to die she decides to use them. If you watch the Still Here video (please) the same goes for the first fight with Kayle and Morgana against Aatrox. Theyre sisters but Morgana uses magic despite them being from Demacia. When Morgana uses her magic against Aatrox to save Kayle, Kayle gets back up and gives her a look of disapproval to Morgana for using it before attacking Aatrox.

This video is a very important lore for Lux, it's the first time ever she reveals openly that she can use magic, since she is a demacian and has always been hiding it. Is so good to see her releasing her powers and fighting side to side with Garen(her brother). Actually there are a lot of mages hiding from the mage seekers in the courts of Demacia, there is a civil war going on right now of people that hates mages and the ones that simpatize with them. And you were right Meesh! Lux did summon Galio with her powers ;)

So funny story, Lux and Jinx are actually friends and teammates in one of the game's alternate universes and have some fun interactions in cinematics like "You Really Got Me," so they have become a semi-popular ship of their own lol
You guys watched the Kin of the Stain Blade video and saw that Yasuo let the elder Souma die, and was then chased by his brother Yone as punishment for that, leading to other things following. The character Riven is a Noxian swordsman who participated in the invasion of Ionia, after which she was betrayed and lost faith in Noxus. She brought the sword to Souma to destroy, so she could cut off her connection to Noxus. However, an accident occurred, causing the elder Souma to die and Yasuo to be blamed (he was supposed to protect Souma, but instead found himself on the battlefield because of his aggressive nature). In the end, Riven was forgiven by Ionia and adopted by the old couple because their biological children died fighting against Noxus. However, after the war, the Noxian army came and captured Riven for her crime, which is why she was locked in the arena for fun.
During the Noxus - Ionia war, Irelia was the one who cut off the arm of Swain, the leader of the invasion, from which she became the leader of the resistance. Meanwhile, Karma is the spiritual leader of the Ionians.
Additional information: Noxus was bogged down in war, so they asked Singed to create a chemical bomb to drop on Ionia. That not only killed the Ionian warriors, but also caused all of Riven's teammates to die. That's why she lost all faith in Noxus.

The 'PERFECTION' is about Jhin's part in the cinematic is how his four shots are actually tied into it - each shot is made to lead Camille into where Jhin wants her to go, from rappelling up into the air and over the chandelier where more of his traps are set, and finally during the bow it shows he still has his fourth and final shot, the finale to his show as it were.

I never played League but everything I heard and saw about Jhin is amazing. A perfectionist serial killer with an Obsession with the number 4 with a cool mask who always want to make his kills a show? Amazing concept and execution. I hope we see more animations with him.

There's a whole series of comics that tell that story called "Lux" (and a follow-up game called Mageseeker that follows Sylas and picks up where the comic finishes). Demacia is one my favourite regions. Sylas was imprisoned in Demacia for being a mage. Lux (which is Garens sister) traded with Sylas, she gave him information on the outside world whilst he taught her how to use her powers. She was born with mage powers but hid it from everyone as its frowned upon. She and Garen also come from one of the most powerful and rich families in Demacia. Sylas later manipulated her and betrayed her(this is shown in the cinematic.) Unfortunately, he never realised how powerful of a mage Lux really is.
"Frowned upon" is a bit of an understatement of Demacia's attitude toward mages. The hatred is borderline genocidal, if not fully there.

yeah, leagues stance on what side should be good is really weird on this one. Lux is obviously supposed to represent the peaceful side and Sylas the extremist side. The issue primarily is that they constantly display Sylas as the bad guy while Lux essentially does nothing to actually change Demacia. Keep in mind that Sylas isn’t fighting for some mage supremacy or to wipe out all non-magic users but to stop the oppression and genocide of magic users although he is a bit power hungry in the literal sense.
Hell, his backstory is literally being arrested because of an accident while trying to protect a young mage from mage seekers who essentially weaponized him to hunt down other mages.
The Mageseekers are really f***** up but they have yet to make a mage seeker champion to properly be an inner villain for Demacia so it’s still Sylas.
@@DefinitivelyNotCthulhu something that league does great is providing you with both sides of the story and why the characters believe that what they are doing is right. Arcane is a great show to present this, Zaun is supposed to be the “bad side” but they’re only fighting to have their individuality and to protect their people. Kayle’s and Morgana’s is also very great and showing this, Kayle is very strong in her ideologies, she believes justice should always be served, whereas Morgana believes people should have a second chance. Obviously there are bad and evil characters in the league lore but usually when it comes to 2 characters sharing a story it’s left for interpretation and letting you decide on which side you think is right.
These are my two very favorite League Cinematics, I'm so glad you guys enjoyed them as much as I do! Vi and Caitlyn's scenes are obviously the highlight as an Arcane fan but the rest of Warriors is also outstanding. Awaken has some of the prettiest fighting animated ever, and both videos have the fights timed precisely to the music for fun moments like the Riven headbutt and Vi punches. From Awaken my favorite storyline is Jhin and Camille, the lovely intricate set-up and final reveal of Jhin having his gun behind his back, fourth shot (ultimate ability) at the ready, it's such elegant storytelling with no dialogue.
As your local lore nerd know it all, i can confirm that you two know lore better than like 70% of league players at this point (even if you can't name EVERY single champion)😂

The mage (Lux) part is even more chill giving if you know the lore; Basically she's a royal in a land where magic is forbidden, the big knight is her brother, Garen. She has to keep her magic hidden and secret; then she meets Sylas (the chains one) and more or less accidentally frees him as he wants to bring magic back to the land. This shows her overcoming fear to save her brother and the kingdom from the fate of war breaking out.

The undead guy is part of the grey legion, an undead army of noxus. The legion was used as an experiment against Demacia with great results.
On a random note, I love that Irrellia's introduction close up shows that she has blue eyes and how that could play into Arcane's Caitlyn, as her father is Ionian, so Cassandra's blue eyes were passed on. Yes, I know it's a magical world, but I like that there's a genetic connection there too!
Hello, I come to deliver information, these movies, apart from starting the new seasons, also mean that they update the lore, these comics or novels are on the LOL page. Kaisa appears because the void is arising (taking into account that she comes from the void) and they tell us about her duel against the void and how she is not equal to other humans and she is afraid of people, but in this scene with Ezreal (the blonde man), she felt something she had never felt which is supposed to be a crush but it is not specified but they do show a relationship, because Ezreal thanks her and he has great charm and humor despite that he can die, they attract each other, but we are never told about a crush:) but there are signs hahaha
Finally u here! Lux and Sylas got her share in comments below, so ill cover a bit those who arent - Ezreal (blond guy with Kaisa), Urgot (the spider-like creature that Vi and Caitlyn fight) and Galio. Ezreal is an explorer that travels around the world and gather magical artifacts (sorta like Indiana Jones). Also he is in love with Lux. Urgot is former Noxus High Executioner (now this position is owned by Draven), who was betrayed and thrown into deep mines below Zaun to die, but he survived. The thing in his bell is a hook attached to a grinder - his ingame ultimate is hook u and then drag into his belly to grind. And finally Galio - he is insanely large colossus made from petricide (material that absorbs magic) and he was awakened by Lux. He is very cheerful thought.
Also a bit of lore - in game (League of Legends) it plays as sort of competition - 2 teams of powerful mages (summoners) choose and summon their champion amongst the powerfull beings of this world (to compare there is normal people, like Caitlyn and Vi, and there is literall gods and death incarnate). Also for that reason their powers get nerfed and so their size (cause as u saw on the picture, Galio is BIG.)

I'm not sure if you'd like to check Necrit's video (he's our League lore guru) but he has one that's friendly for people new to the lore that explains all the regions called "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done". He made the video because of League's game that's in-making but it's good at showing the world and its lore (for example where hextech gems are from). He's also got one about differences between Arcane and official lore - everything in Arcane is cannon now so Riot needs to fix it.

Sylas can absorb magic with his chain-gauntlets and use it himself, when he blocks Garen's hit you can see him absorbing some, the yellow light. The light sword he later uses is that magic, which Garen is using sort of without realizing it himself :-) Galio is a statue in Demacia that wakes up when a lot of magic is used, so Lux woke him up by casting that big beam of light in the sky.
Urgot was betrayed by Swain (leader of noxus) and sent to Zaun, where he was imprisoned. In the prison, he began augmenting himself into the monstrous figure he is now. Urgot believes only the strong should survive and seeks to impose his brutal vision of order on the world.
Watch the latest cinematic that got aatrox. His lore is so deep and sad at the same time
While Urgot originates from Noxus he is active in Zaun
The guy with the chains is not from Freljord. He's from Demacia and he's one of the most interesting characters lore wise, his story would be good for a series like Arcane. I recommend checking out his cinematics and storyboards:

Girl with blades (Irelia) vs big dead dude (Sion) the Noxian (Sion is from Noxus) invasion of Ionia, Sion is technically an undead warlord, that has been resurrected and is leading the charge into Ionia (who killed him? Jarvan’s ancestor, Jarvan I’s crown is Sion’s jaw), Irelia is a blade dancer who has transformed the cultural heritage of Ionia into a battle tactic after the death of her family at the hands of the invaders, she’s one of the leaders of the resistance , the white thing that lands on her hand is rumoured to contain the spirit of the dead, symbolising what she’s fighting for (her dead family)
Gladiator scene in Noxus: Draven (dude with strong jawline and spinning axes) vs Riven (girl with the broken sword) Riven was a solider of Noxus but chose to run away during the invasion of Noxus, accidentally killing Yasuo’s master in the process and leaving him to be perceived as a traitor for not protecting his master (basically her blade is cursed or some shit and yasuo’s master was trying to undo it but ended up backfiring it and killing him with his own wind magic and only him and Yasuo could use wind magic) Draven is the king of gladiators. Basically Riven has been captured by Noxus and sent to the gladiator to fight until she dies as punishment for abandoning her post, Draven wants to be the one to kill the traitor
You are right Demacia forbid magic, so lux as a daughter of one of the noble houses in Demacia born a mage is a problem, she have 5 issues comic that you can read, it's a really good story giving context about Demacian culture and it's politic regarding mages, in fact the story was so good that they made a game as a continuation of that story starring Sylas called the mageseeker.

Just a heads up there is a seperate game called Mageseeker which tells the story that leads up to the events in Warriors, particularly in regards to Lux and Sylas. Basically it tells the story of the mage rebellion in Demacia which is a recent event. Very good game but it is quite difficult.

I looked for a little and didn't notice anyone explain, sorry if someone already has, but the lady that is apart of Jhin's scene in AWAKENED is not Evelynn. The lady is named Camille and is actually from Piltover. I will say if you see a champion with a skin / a video from a skinline, then the video isn't apart of the actual lore nor are the skins from the skinlines. So things like KDA, or the other music groups, Star Guardian, PROJECT, etc all those aren't apart of the main actual lore, so they never show up in cinematics or videos that involve actual lore building or visualizations of what happened in the lore. Of course not knowing all the champions or what they look like its hard to tell when you first see them if that is what they actually look like lore wise, but just a heads up for if you do notice a champion but it has a skin then its more often than not not apart of the lore (Though there are some exceptions but they are far and few between and I really can only think of one video that has some lore events shown in it and then scenes that Riot has said isn't actual lore but hypothetical).
Something that should probably be clarified. A mage in game, and a mage in the world of runetara are different. In game a mage is just a character that relies almost entirely on abilities to do damage and does magic damage, but in the lore a mage is a magic user. So if you are looking at the lol character pages and see mage it might not actually mean that they are one of the mages referenced in arcane. for example kai'sa is not a mage in the lore, but she can build AP and uses a lot of spells so she could be counted as a mage in game.

I love them showing Lux go against Sylas. In the lore. Lux's people are anti magic, so you can imagine it would be a brave thing for her to show she has it. She sympathized with Sylas who was imprisoned for his, but he's bad. His magic is that he steals another's ult, so that glowing sword he was holding is like Garen's. And I guess it take magic to bring Galio to life.
Magic is looked down on in demacia, the war theyre having is demacians vs mages but lux is an undercover mage living in a high status demacian family. There is a comic you can read its quite short that explains the lore !!

I might be missremembering slightly, but Riven was a Noxian general who got knocked out in an earlier battle in Ionia. She was nursed back to health by some locals, and as gratitude she put down her sword (which is shattered, but can't break entirely as its magical) and just took up the quiet life and helped out on her care-giver's farm. During the second invasion of Ionia, she was arrested by the Noxians trying to protect the farm and was sentenced to death in the Gladiator pit, but did not die. I can't remember if that earned her freedom or if she escaped, but she cut her ties with the Noxian military.

4:25 I hate the end card in TH-cam as well. Used to be able to turn them off directly in TH-cam settings but not anymore. I had to add an extension in order to block those cards.
"Unhook - Remove TH-cam Recommended & Shorts" is the name of the extension. Can do a lot of different things but I mainly have it just to turn off the end cards.
So annoying! Lol we try to keep our end card at the very end too so it doesn’t disrupt the content of the video 🙏🏼
Garen is Lux's older brother, not dad. And that champ with chains is Sylas and he is from Demacia like Garen or Lux.
Demacia ban magic and all mages are prisoners. They must hiding their power... like Lux until now. Sylas is rly pissed from this. Lux and him has a short comics. Very beautiful. And yeah, Sylas was prisoner too, but he escape. Lux uses her power to bring Galio in the last sec, bcs she can't let Sylas kill her brother whatever it costs. Even if she go to the prison. But hey, she is member of Royal Guard, very high-ranking family. She's literally princess.
How Morgana said "Demacia has learned only the bad things." | That's bcs magic was allowed in Demacia in past ages. Idk why they ban it. People are born with arcana (magic).
Morgana is something like demigod btw.
Riven is Noxian soldier, but they betrayed her in siege of Ionia and she want become one of them. Live in peace, but (idk how) they catch her and place into arena like we saw.
His friend and.. i think master, if i remember right, was Yasuo.
That one Yordle with electric power is Kenen, the member of order Kinkou like Akali. Kinkou is literally warriors of peace and they guard balance in Ionia between their world and the world of spirits, whitch has rly strong power in this region. You must respect the region and be peaceful to him. If you not, he hurt you and may make you worse things then death. Remember, he can't just hurt you physically, but also in spirit. There are many more possibilities of very, very long and cruel punishments that the region can do to you. And now I'm talking about the region, about nature, not about people. Ionia is alive.
Karma is something like Mage Master in Ionia. Very peaceful, but strong woman ready to fight against dark powers and defend their homes.

I forgot the story of Sylas, it is very sad in summary, in Demasia they imprison magicians just for being magicians, and Sylas was one, but he managed to escape and murdered the king of Demasia and now leads the rebellion of magicians, that is why he went to Freijold to look for reinforcements
It wasnt Evelyn its a champion named Camile and she is an enforcer (and was with other enforcers) after Jihn (the piano guy with the mask and cool pistol)

If you guys are wondering about lux being a mage in demacia is because she is royalty they kept it a secret to the empire only her family including her brother garen knows she is a mage and for sylas the reason why he was fighting against other demacian is because he was imprisoned because he was a mage, he escaped when lux visited him from his cell and sylas took advantage and took her powers to free himself and the other mages of demacia and he started a revolution to take down demacia

For the scene with Lux and Garen (theyre siblings) against Sylas, Lux trusted Sylas (guy with chains) and he would teach her some magic and how to use her abilities I believe. In Demacia theyre bascially racist towards mages/those who use magic and emprisoned Sylas. Reason why Lux was not fighting back was because her powers are magic based but after seeing Garen about to die she decides to use them.
If you watch the Still Here video (please) the same goes for the first fight with Kayle and Morgana against Aatrox. Theyre sisters but Morgana uses magic despite them being from Demacia. When Morgana uses her magic against Aatrox to save Kayle, Kayle gets back up and gives her a look of disapproval to Morgana for using it before attacking Aatrox.
