Your garden must be amazing, and I can feel the dedication you put into it! The care of plants in all conditions, from shade to cold season, is admirable. Nothing compares to the joy of reaping the fruits of your efforts!
Great video on your September 2024 Backyard Garden Tour in Zone 8b! The variety of plants you’ve cultivated is impressive, and I love how you’ve maximized space while keeping everything so well-organized. Your tips on seasonal transitions were super helpful, especially for preparing the garden for fall. The tour gave me so much inspiration for my own garden. Looking forward to more content like this!
Wow, I’m so appreciative and humbled by your response to the video! Thank you!! 🙏🏼 I’ll be filming another garden tour video very soon. Thanks so much for being here! Be so blessed today! 💚
Y'all I had ants on my container vegetable plants, I sprinkled Diatomaceous Earth on top of dry soil and pot cover and they left immediately. It's like one signaled the others and they just dissipated in minutes. I sprinkled it around my patio since no rain and NO ANTS.
@Thisblendedhomestead I was outback combing the yard looking for ants and nothing. The pots have even wet the DE on topsoil but still no ants. They climbed BBQ pits, chairs and tables climbing my plants but gone now in Texas, it's still 90•
Thank you so much for your sweet compliment! A lot of work went into building this garden. Haha I never thought I would love gardening this much! 💚 Thanks so much for watching!
New Subscriber here always interested in gardening video and pretty much anything outdoors , very interesting and informative , great garden for sure awesome job. Hope you have an awesome week ahead.
Welcome, Tuckerandi! Thank you so much for subscribing! I can’t tell you how many gardening videos I’ve watched.🤣 I’ve learned so much from other gardeners on this platform. Be blessed today! 💚
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Your homestead is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey😊
I’ve heard from so many experienced gardeners that this was such a challenging year for gardening. You are definitely not alone! There’s always hope, my friend! 💚
"Thank you for complimenting my garden! 🌼 I'm trying to turn it into a 'superstar garden.' 😄 I wonder if I should organize a fashion show for the plants? If your plants could walk, what outfits would they choose to shine on stage? 🌿✨"
Have grown celery in these, the roots will grow down into the next level. This only matters when you tryto get the roots out.I cut around them with a sharpknife to aid getting them out.
My first time on your channel and I subscribed. I’m also 8b and trying to track with others in similar zones so I can learn more about pacing. I just wanted to say I see a lot of gardeners overwintering their peppers. Since yours are already in containers, you should watch some videos, cut them back, and overwinter inside so you’re not starting over completely and you’ll get a faster, bigger crop next season.
Hello! Welcome to the channel and thank you so much for subscribing! 💚 Funny because I just watched a video on that very thing! I’ll definitely try it. Thank you for the suggestion!
Just finished watching the entire video. You should be so proud. This is a fabulous year 1 garden. You’ve done great while also maintaining a full time job and family… I’m impressed. Can’t wait to see how everything progresses. From 8b in SC. I heard you mention Tx. I was looking for that info in your channel description but did not find it. Consider writing a channel description including some things people have admired in comments. You’re doing wonderfully. In my earlier years I lived in both Dallas and Houston areas. Loved it. @@Thisblendedhomestead
I really appreciate your kind words! I’ve worked so hard on this garden and it’s so nice to start seeing some harvests. I am in Texas, and will definitely take your advice to spruce up my channel description. Be blessed today! 🤍
Hello, new subscriber here. You have a beautiful garden and the layout is superb!! Can you tell me the size of the container that you have your potatoes in and where you purchased? Thank you.
Welcome! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! I really appreciate it. I have them in 20 & 27 gallon containers that I purchased on Facebook marketplace. But, I have one group growing in a fabric container that I got from Amazon. 💚 a.co/d/8JIRjit

The orange hat tomatoes are nice and sweet. Wait until they get really orange for the sweetness. I grew it in my hydroponic grower inside.
Oh yay! I’m excited to try them. Thank you for your comment! 💚
Growing like this saves a lot of space, and there are clean vegetables at home to eat
Yes! 🙌🏼 Having clean, sustainable food is my motivation. 💚

I grow celery in my green stock. It gets so huge.
Okay, now I’m nervous! Haha Which tier did you plant it in?
❤❤❤❤❤

I keep telling myself I am growing enough
And isn’t that the struggle?! Especially when it comes to seeds! I just want to grow all the things! Haha
My dogs eat the rabbit poop I use in my garden!
I can so relate! I put feather meal in my garden and next I know, they’re over there licking it up. 🤦🏻♀️🤣
@@Thisblendedhomestead new to your channel. Pace yourself as a new gardener. It's easy to burn yourself out!
I really want to make hoops about the size you have! What length PVC pipes are you using?
It was very easy to install and I love them. I purchased the 1/2” 10 ft. long pipes from Lowes. 💚
