- Hi All!
Welcome to a new video. Today we take a ride on a rather odd route, airline and aircraft.
Today we take small UK regional airline Eastern Airways onboard the rare Jetstream 41 on the only inter-mainland flight in Scotland, from Aberdeen to the very north of the Scottish mainland, Wick. Despite the short flight, it was a great experience, as this was my first time flying to/from both airports, my first time on Eastern Airways and aboard the Jetstream.
The flight was rather cheap as far as Eastern Airways tickets go, costing just over £50 including seat selection, perhaps because it’s a PSO from the Scottish Government, because of the geographical distance between the two places by road/rail.
I knew that despite only having a backpack, I’d have to valet tag it as you’ll see that the little Jetstream has no overhead lockers or much space onboard at all. However all the staff I interacted with both onboard and from SkyTanking handling at ABZ were very friendly and informative. This is truly a great little flight and definitely an experience I’d recommend you do.
