Thank you for this video Tom. A. IAm about to start the same lamp port on my 250 I will be ordering it from you, when it back in stock. I’ve already got most of my stuff for that engine from you. Love it.
My son is a machinist and he put your kit in my 250. We've added long tube headers and a homemade intake, along with a Ford 2 BBL. Stock cam and HEI. Pretty zippy but I wonder how much a cam would have added. I'm a real stickler about a smooth idle.
Make sure to upsize the intake valves to 1.84 and our RV/Marine HO cam would work wonders over the stock cam. Then you will not believe how much better it will run.
Glad to see you’re keeping busy Tom! Any updates on roller cams? I’d really like a mild grind, daily driver roller. I’ve had a lot of trouble with flat tappets crapping out in my V8’s and I’m terrified I’ll run into a similar problem.
I still don’t know what the stock angle is. But for maximum De-shrouding David Vizard’s Book states “ In practice, it turns out that about the optimum angle for the intake valve from the bore centerline is about 18 degrees. For the exhaust, where shrouding is less important, the optimum angle is approximately 10 degrees.”
Thanks for taking the time to video this process.
I remember you installing Lumps in heads 12 years ago.
I would go through a half a dozen heads before I would get it right. Sure glad to wait, to get one from you instead!

Hi! How much CFM of difference do you gain with the installation of the lumps? Compared to a standard one
