yeah I think this guy Robert Edwards hit the nail on the head it's 2019 y'all I really hope that this spirit of the awakening has advanced us as a people to come out of these wicked churches/camps and islam
The most high doesn't wont me in organized church, the ministry I was in had a Spirit of control, intimidation and manipulation, plus the scriptures say come out of her, meaning come out of the Babylon system! The church!! Shalom!!
@james selden Because of who they get funded by. Also the pastor, bishop or whomever does not pay taxes. People, mostly Women will throw all their money too the church when they need it the most.
I was saying the same thing: the church does teach young women how to be wives and mothers and how to get resources. The church doesn’t help the men rebuild themselves. Disenfranchised men should be able to go to church and the men of the point them to jobs and resources for rebuilding their lives so they can become valid vessels of society.
my experience is that they created those resources because the women are present. when there are no consistent or stable men, then creating a "class" that they don't attend becomes problematic.
No it don’t teach women nothing but to be subservient to a blk man that has no power outside his home. Also blk don’t want to be told what to do by any body else.
@@johnjohn-tf4qf the point I'm making is when comes to going to Church people use every excuse in the book and yet these same excuses don't stop them from going other places or doing other thingss. Exactly how are you throwing away money if you attend Church?
sometimes its hard to get someone who have been brainwashed to realize that's whats going on... only advice I have is to turn to the Word ... churches today are conformed to the world to entice pew sitters to listen to things that tickle their ear instead of preaching the truth

@@kellijasper5912you are proving the point of not listening but putting your own thoughts to it. A job provides resources, many men in general see the church as taking resources while catering to and not holding women accountable. The church is where you come to see the tight dresses now, millionaire pastors wearing skinny jeans and the latest fashions. Women only listening to the one man that most men would never give their respect otherwise.
@@wtcbd01 I don’t know what Church you have attended but the onus has always been on the woman. She has to be meek and submissive no matter what. To a certain degree she is/was shamed into covering up her body as not to “make the brothers stumble.”
In the 60s we had black men who led in the church the Nation of Islam Black Panthers and so on. We also had those leaders killed or assassinated. Then came the 70s with the breakup of the black family where buy you begin to start seeing the homes led by women. Now 70% of the households is headed by females. Boys don't see men anymore. Black women are dominating the church the schools the workforce education and almost everything else. We have very few black male leaders anymore. If there's one place that can address this problem it would be the black church and that's not happening. The black church talks more about money and blessings. It needs to start talking about black male issues and bring black men back into leadership in the homes the church and everywhere else. This is why we have all kind of problems in the black community because of no male leadership. God Place men to lead.
Here is a reason and black pastors have KNOWN this for quite a long time too. QUOTE: "African-American churches tend to be *dominated by women* , with one central male figure, the pastor in the pulpit. As a result, many men do not feel affirmed in the church environment. They see the pastor as a threat and even a rival." -Rev. C. Eric Lincoln, 1924-2000
Agreed. Another issue is the current form of Christianity is not the same form originated in Ethiopia. There is no money in teaching about the original teachings. We've bought the European lie.
Very devastating what's happening to Black men. God never wanted so many single women raising children. This situation came about through the government. What would you suggest?
Single women chose to be single and have kids most of the time outside of an outlier and it's wrong to expect good men to take on that baggage and you're not bringing anything or being appreciative to the good men who do it
TB you disagree with what???? Your question ask what this brother is talking about church is not reality it is a scam that only fulfill the needs of the ones on top the bottom are the people who feed the needs of the pimp preachers, decons and first ladies. I think alot of us blackmen have seen our mothers and grandmothers taken advantage of by the black church hoping and waiiting for sky daddy jesus. Every new or large church building was/Is heavily funded by blackwomen's donations, both great and small. Our differences are also evident, when women get tired of being promiscuous they go to church and when black men get tired of it, we settle down. Plus lots of bad relationships make these woman want Jesus more than a companoon.
As a Blackman I don't go because the bible and other faiths have no truth or any real history in it. And there one thing no one has answered is where are the dates
Biblical history does exist; you might want to read about the Ethiopian Bible which I believe pre-dates the King James version. The Bible is history and a lot of African history.
Obviously there ARE Pastors and those in leadership who are called of God and are genuine and decent in what they do (not that they are perfect because nobody is). However, it is ever increasing that many of the men in the 5-Fold Ministry in these churches operate out of a spirit of control, ego psychology. Too many of these men who were going to church have grown weary of seeing their WIVES doing more for their Pastor and putting what the Pastor says BEFORE her husband. No man in his sound mind is going to put up with that; especially if he (too) is serious regarding his personal relationship with God. Too many great marriages turn into nasty divorces IN THE CHURCH for this very reason.
Glad I watched this, I had always felt the same way for years. I met a Christian of a different race at my job, and he introduced me to his church and I felt at home for the first time. The church is racially mixed, which is great, meeting Christians of different cultures.

So true. Even as a regular church attendee for the past 3 years, I've come to the conclusion that the general message preached in church is pay your tithes/offerings (although tithes are NOT BIBLICAL FOR NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIANS), get out your seat to hoop and holler, and upon completion of these things, God will bless you. I've also noticed a very dismissive attitude towards non-Church goers (and in particular YOUNG non-Church goers): as if salvation/God Himself ONLY reside in the church building, rather than seeking to explore why people are not coming. Thirdly, my pastor in particular will sometimes get up to "prophecy" over select members in the congregation. A message that has been relayed several times is that if what he prophecies does not come to pass, it's because that person's lack of faith obstructed their blessing. Huh? What is that? Prophecy insurance? What many religious people fail to realize is that many who are looking to worship the Father in spirit and in truth decide not to worship in a building because when they go, they find anything BUT the Spirit of Christ there.
@@camillec1541 It's certainly the groundwork for starting one. 💡That (among other reasons) was what drove me to since graciously depart from church as of July 2023. ✌🏾

@@oldschool5 I get where you’re coming from but I don’t believe you should get God from man. I think you should get God from God by having a direct relationship with him. What the slave masters did was insurmountable and hateful but they weren’t Gods representative. They perverted the word of God and I’m sure that was felt when they died and faced judgement. But no man can lead himself to salvation. We don’t live forever and we should really think about where we will spend eternity. Don’t let religion or man (people) shape a perception of God that isn’t true. I’m speaking from experience not what someone told me.
Arneal Williams Sound thinking, brother. It has also been my reflection for years and I am a woman. The Lord has placed so much on men, yet it is misunderstood and for this reason it is not taught. The world (families) is deprived of real men who are being assaulted on every side to give up their God given leadership to women whilst women are being virilised. What we have is confusion of gender and a war the church should be exempt of. Men will be attracted to churches when Truth is spoken loud enough for them to hear it. God bless your ministry, brother.
I remember when I used to go to church how the ladies had so many meetings of different kinds. Like ministries to do so many things. Even tea meeting of fellowship where they could talk and gossip. The men decided to get together for their own fellowship. I was shocked to see how there were fears and concerns about the men doing this by the Pastor and the ladies. Men were not trusted for fear of losing control because men are considered bad. They didn't have the guts to say it out right but that was the slant in the double talk when it was addressed that shit was proof enough for me. I had a church divorce. I don't want another man in charge of my wife. Preachers claim that we are to surrender ourselves to a Pastor. God is my father and I am not a Catholic. Penticostals churches are the worst!!!!!!?
I have a lot to say about this particular topic. First, I think a lot of black men don't go to church because the Black Church is so emasculated, also I feel like Black Men are constantly put down by a society that pushes women to be on the same level or in front of the man that we as men don't want to have to compete for authority as it pertains to the headship and the fellowship. You made a great point about the Muslim faith. And while I'm a believer and follower of the most High, I see that the Muslim faith teaches that men lead their homes and be the headship of their households. And while the church doesn't teach a lot of men how to be in authority, they sometimes don't feel like they have NO purpose. Also, black men don't put their money into anything that won't benefit them at the end of the day. Think about it. Most black churches cater to women by keeping them driven by their emotions and feelings. In order to speak to Black men, you have to be a strong Black man. I've just become awoke and some of what I've been told over the years have turned out to be lies and untruths. If you add the feminist movement and the gay agenda you really have a problem on your hand. And these are the things that most Black Churches and Black Pastors won't talk about. I can say so much more but this was a great Q & A..
I believe there are a lot of churches doctrines that cater to women. But the doctrine of Christ is neither feminine or masculine and we should not place his teachings in one category or the other. There may be an issue with getting men there when you said the church should be more family oriented but the people there are single parent families. So if the men were to be committed to their families instead of making children and not living up to their responsibilities then we can begin a dialogue about family unity. You made some very good points and I applaud you for this message.
An issue that needs to be addressed in the church, is the intrusive intervention of pastors in their congregation members personal relationships. This would not be an issue if it wasn't for the fact that a number of today's pastors are not following the Truth of the Bible. A lot of these modern pastors take advantage of their position in the church, many treats their churches akin to nightclubs/ discos. Finally, I believe they cause/ create more problems in people's personal relationships than help this is due to many women whom attend church are more willing to listen to their pastors more so than their husbands or partners.
Women tend to be more emotional than men. This is the reason why you see a lot of women in church as oppose to men. Black men can' t bow down to a male pastor. It does not feel right.
I appreciate your real talk brother on the topic...for me the problem I see in some Churches is that men, regular men in the church are not respected...the "only" man worthy to be respected is the male pastor....the wife'and the kids control the man....he follows the woman, she leads...that's like putting the horse before the cart, it wound work. So until the common / regular man is respected in the Church, you will see less men there.
Do you think if more pastors taught like minister brother Malcolm , talking about changing your mind and morals , and standing up for yourself , family and community , that it would make a difference . Enough to make men want to return to the church ?
since you mentioned sheep... Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Ezekiel:34:2 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. Ezekiel:34:3 the problem is the Sheppard dont know nothing therefore the sheep dont know nothing.. BUT, the sheep got what they asked for.. Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: Isaiah:30:1 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: Isaiah:30:8 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Isaiah:30:9 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Isaiah:30:10
Who told you that you're not supposed to learn. Jesus told us before he ascended back to Heaven to go out into all the world and make disciples and you can't make disciples without sound foundational Biblical teaching. NOTE: I DIDN'T SAY PREACHING, I SAID TEACHING!!!!!
I grew up in the church I loved church but I was also confused as to why my mama would fall out and shout and speak I. Tongues then come home cuss us out beat us or seeing church pastors show favoritism to me that made me want to develop my own relationship with God. I've slipped so many times but I'm working on getting my relationship back with God.but only time I seen people really walking like there talking was Bible based church. Not a Broadway show and a few vs read b4 the big show.
Brother, God Speed! These explanation is the "heart cry" of many brothers I encounter. Thanks for posting and sharing this awesome view. I will be sharing this video with the hope of helping many brothers, ie church officials, understand that the focus must change if you want to reach men and if you want to "re-establish" God's Holy order. Peace.
Very well said and very well thought out. I have defended the Black Church in many previous videos in the past on various topics and have done so as the need to provide context to the discussion. If I may weigh in here I will add a few points I have not read in the comments as well as may have been stated as well. The main point that strikes me with particular concern is that the current structure of the church experience is lacking in its relevance. While the organized church has many areas that have failed the community, this is indeed troubling. I say that because that inditement is valid. In pointing out this truth it means that the church has failed to be the body of Christ and Christ as the head. The focus has been misplaced if the results of its function are not reaching the brothers who need Christ most of all. If the church's presentation is lacking in the delivery of the ministry, message, and mission of our Lord and Savior because the methodology and emphasis are off focus then it means we have to address this reality. Now if there is just some "style tweaking" that needs to be done then a few adjustments can be made. But that is NOT what I am hearing and reading in the comments. There are many major concerns that are spoken here. However, it is incorrect to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak, in that salvation of the souls of humanity is only found in Christ and Christ alone. His blood is the only hope of eternal salvation there is. Whatever the church has done wrong can be fixed but that basis for redemption is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Please understand and accept that fact as truth. The message of Christ's love is consistent with His word regardless of the preacher's flaws and shortcomings. The sacrifice Christ paid for our sins is yet relevant even if the church has taken the entertainment stage too extreme and the financial emphasis is out of balance. God is yet coming back for His church regardless of the hypocrisy and feminization of the folks in the building. While I am NOT condoning any of the mess, I am stating that the needs of and for the human condition have not changed on these basic simplistic levels. Can we agree? I will leave it right there for your consideration. In closing, please let me leave this point. The church is made up of imperfect people who too need a savior. In the Bible, Christ selected flawed individuals to be His disciples for a reason. That is because He demonstrates His love towards us. And while we were yet sinners He redeemed us from our sins. He is the transformation and not the transformative needing individuals we see in the pulpits, TV, and stages and storefronts. Jesus Christ is still the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT. If that was not clearly communicated at church then don't reject the source because those on staff are not representing Him well. Because HE is still worth seeking HIM even if it means finding HIM is a task. Don't miss HIM, please. HE waits. HE searches hearts, minds, and souls. HIS love draws and HE is available based on your search for HIM and HIS LOVING power.#TRANSFORMATION.

I’m not a black man but my husband refuses to go to church. For me, It was more like a social club. It lasted way too long. I hated being chased to my car by weird guys who found out I was a single mom. My kids use to be laughing like crazy when we would be walking fast getting to the car to get out of church. It’s also a fashion show. I would wear jeans 👖, sneakers 👟 and a shirt 👚. Did I have nice clothes? Yes but God said comes as you are and I came how I felt those days. Those weird women would look at me with dirty looks. They always knew not to approach me because I always had a scowl on my face, which isn’t a scowl but me being in deep thought. I’m definitely NOT becoming Muslim. I like to wear what I want to wear. I have 3 daughters and I would have never ever allowed them to marry a grown man in their adolescent years. Plus I’m way to vocal to become Muslim. I’m glad we just stay home and spend quality time together on Sundays. We do go to church on Saturdays whenever I visit my dad or he visits me. We do it out of respect.
I DONT LIKE CHURCH BECAUSE ITS ONLY A SHOW TALKING ABOUT NOTHING BUT NOW I GOT A PASTOR THAT TEACH AND THAT PASTOR GINO JENNINGS LOOK HIM UP BECAUSE I CAN HEAR HIM ALL DAY BECAUSE HE IS SO REAL.........
I am a black man and I love the church Came to Christ because of black men who preached Jesus. No grandma taking me or dragging me to church every Sunday until I "got it" story here!
Many of you all are absolutely Right about the concept of Religion because being Religious is what the Righteous would Declare as being FAKE ! Any Godly Person does not want to be that type of Person: We all should want to be Christ Like as possible and having the same type of mind that Jesus had during his Time here on Earth !
Havent attended church in 20 years? What? No annointing? Prayers? Liberty that Christ bings? Peace from above? Joy that His Presence brings? Lifting of burdens ftom off thy shoulders? Conferences? Revivals? Restorations? Instruction in Righteousness? Its amazing peole would leave written information of TREASON against the reality of the KINGDOM OF GOD? A kingdom that Jesus Himself ushered in! Despite issues that infected and affected the during his day Saint Paul wrote "be reconciled to God" (2nd Corinrhians 5).
Intelligent black men realize that the Creator/God of trillions of galaxies and lifeforms don't communicate with words in a book, people do. The Creator/God communicates through creation. Christianity is psyco-anesthesia for peaceful acceptance of mistreatment.
Damn the gas lighting is real.... no grace, compassion, understanding, just that same ol church legalistic talk they always use to judge people instead of meeting and understanding where they are.... you know, like Jesus did lol..... but these church people LOVE to judge instead of taking the work, like the guy in the video, to understand people...... THERE IS NO LOVE LIKE CHRISTIAN JUDGEMENT 😂
The reason I stop going now 65yrs? It was all about money? The only one living large was the pastor, and his family? Next I was Spiritually seek God? So I start to read for myself? The rest is history! Church bricks and Mortar? Your Heart God do dwell if it's Open?
I am so glad I heard you out brotha,,,,,because I saw the title and the four letter words began to flow from my fingers, but you made so much sense and valid points that I had to re-address my thoughts about your topic, I'm still never going to go into a church ever again because the church will never change and there is no religion that knows anything about the "Most High" because for years things have only gotten worse so that tells me there is no "God" showing nobody his true ways especially these mega churches, but I commend you on your topic well spoken take care,,,,,,,,and yes I do believe there is a God/Creator/All Mighty!!!
This guy hit it on the head! The black churches cater to the needs of women, and do very little for the brothers. The pastor should be "fishing for men", but they are intimidating by strong men. There should be a brotherhood amongst the men in the church. Muslim men sit in a circle and debate (peacefully) the Quran, they are huge on teaching men and on brotherhood. Muslims are not intimidated my strong men. Muslim provides structure and demands discipline. Christian pastors have no structure, and interact more with the sisters. Some sisters respect their pastor more than their husband. I guess pastors feel it is their job to protect women or it feeds into the insecurity as men.
I grew up in church ever since I was a child. What I have witnessed in the past 15 years has been a total failure of accountability, truthfulness and integrity in the pulpits. I’ve seen it all. All of the, “name it, claim it”, debt cancellation, money lines, “God said there’s 50 people in here that need to give $100, etc. then when only 20 people come down to give $100 and nobody else comes the pastor says “God said partner with someone on your row and bring the $100 together, etc. etc. its been nothing but a horse and pony show circus act. I’ve seen pastors stand in the pulpit and pull out a $100 bill to entice people to give $100 and then come back to the room where the money is being counted and demand to have the $100 back (Yes I witnessed this firsthand). A lot of the messages today are emotionally stimulated, lacks substance, depth and are carnal. I heard a pastor LITERALLY SAY AND I mean LITERALLY say if it comes down to whether you should pay your tithes or your light bill, you better pay your tithes smh. Straight foolishness. The biggest disappointment is the inability to attract Strong Male Figures in the Church because the pastor is threatened with men that are not “Jelly backs” and will challenge him on something if it doesn’t align with the word of God along with the lack of accountability and not listening to messages where they destroy men in the pulpit in front of a 80% congregation of single women. It’s all a business deal at the end of the day. Pastors are preaching messages to maintain their financial base by preaching a feel good, fairytale message. Feminism, prosperity and secular humanism has become a part of the main theme in a lot of sermons in the modern church world and the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is no longer the essence of the preached word. Sad Reality in todays church world and honestly I can’t deal with it anymore. I’m glad that I’m seasoned enough in the word to recognize these charlatans and avoid listening to their messages.
I agree with you sir, what we as men need to know the church cannot save you, only Jesus Christ can do that, most of our church's preach false doctrine,We have the responsibility to know Jesus for ourselves,to study the word for ourselves so we will not become victims to con men and women who are false teachers, the people are the church, the body of Christ, not the building.Know Jesus for yourself and the Holy Spirit will lead you to true teaching and believers that has been my experience, because most of what will have now is Satan has infiltrated the church institutions, because people are gullible intrusting their salvation to false teachers and false prophets,it's sad what these false teachers are doing but they are going to pay for what they are doing,A man reaps what he sows and God cannot be mocked
Because..The BLACK Man is...”GOD”..it’s naturally WITHIN and the Supernatural Spirit that RESIDES WITHIN can not be “taught”🙏🏾🙌🏾..TRUTH P.S.... Any Human form that has a REAL SOUL would “Behave&/Respond” out of Anger ,Pain& Confusion when being striped of their original identity,ryt(?)😏😉..but yet “they” the very ones who’s caused all the corruption will “Demonize” and label them as “they’ve “ created it ALLL...#Hate&Evil&Lies!!!
white dude here. Great points made by this guy, speaking from wisdom. Men (black or white) will increasingly have little to do with Church until it gives back authority. You cannot demand the responsibilities (to family, to society, to work) you demand from men without the concomitant authority to see it through. If you ask of me duty you must also grant authority, you cannot demand one and not provide the other, just as you cannot demand I build a house but provide no hammer.
Why.. because that's not the real PLACE of the MOST HIGH as simple as that and our people are waking up in the LORD does not dwell in the church in America he dwell within man.
Correct my friend. The issue of moral deficiency within the black church and culture must be addressed. Of course we first must admit there is a problem. God bless
The whole premise of the question is wrong. Many black men love church and some don't. For those that don't it is not that they don't like church, but rather it is that they don't like the churches they have encountered. However, there are good Bible believing churches to be found if you do your research and look. Beyond that. If any man or woman doesn't actually like church in general, the reason for that is found the Bible: 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Romans 8:7 (KJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. And it does not matter what anybody thinks of the church or has to say about the Church because of what Jesus said to Peter: Matthew 16:18 (KJV) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
@@ministerstayfly9213 Church attendance and true Christianity are two different things. This is why people should stop blaming the church. Even good churches and good pastors cannot make people choose true Christianity and even God does not force himself upon anyone but he leaves the choice up to us. Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: It is not the church or Christianity that is holding black people down. It is sin that is holding black people down. You don't get a 70% out-of-wedlock birth rate by being a Christian. You don't get 1 in 4 black men incarcerated or on probation by being a Christian. And you certainly don't get almost 50% of black women having herpes and the highest HIV rate in the nation by being a Christian. You don't get multiple babies from multiple fathers and absentee fathers by living a Christian Life. Not to mention the crack epidemic, high rates of sexual abuse of both girls and boys, high illiteracy rates, high drop-out rates and lack of higher education. None of these things are Christian. All of these things are holding black people down. It is the absence of Christianity that's destroying the hood.Try to remember that all of the evil in this world is done by men whether in or out of a church. There is no race, culture, religion, economic status or way of life on this planet where you will not find evil men doing evil things. @@ministerstayfly9213 I agree. If Grandma was a Bible believing Christian then that's exactly what she would do. Correction, SOME black men don't like church. You have to find a church that suits you, now don't look for a perfect church, you may stay late every now and then. Also, there are problems in every church so don't let that stop you from worship and yes you can worship at home but be honest when was the last time you worshipped at home? The church is filled with imperfect people, keep your eyes on Christ not on the people. Growing and developing starts with you, how hungry are you for the Word?
Black Men need to stop the blame Game. READ GOD'S WORD for themselves and ask God for Understanding. Lamb or Lion has nothing to do with obedience to God. Sin is what keep men and women from GOD. Have a heart transplant with the WORD of God!
Acts 17:24-26 King James Version (KJV) 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
I got a lot in common with the brothers.Church does not do nothing for me either.I need something to stimulate my mind and something to learn from too.I enjoy listening to Farrakhan and malcolm X then listening to preachers.Preachers at the church never interested me.I'm a black woman and I can tell when preachers are about nothing.I never go to church.I only went to church growing up because my mother made me go.I didn't like it then.It always put me to sleep.I hated when my mother wake me up forcing me to listen to it.My mother and aunt would always push me to go to church during my adult life but they never succeeded because I refuse to go.I attend funerals to pay my respect and that's it.I'm not going to something that's not for me.
@@ministerstayfly9213 I read and did a lot of research over the years.I read so many books on Egyptology, African people and European Holidays: mental Genocide book 1, African people and European Holidays: mental Genocide book 2 and many other books.I purchase many askra kwasi' s videos about how the romans and greeks stole from african spirituality and fabricated it and adjusted to fit their backward ass culture.I also know that they started changing a lot of religious concept at the council of neciest somewhere after christ or ad.I forgot the exact year.Excuse my spelling I can't seem to remember how to spell it.Hope you can figure out what I' m trying to say.
I have the same experiences, with the same background, in the same environment, under the same conditions you did. The only difference is the location. I left the church because I watched it change over a span of 30 years. Church became a concert and I was part of the production team, as a musician. The only thing I learned in that span was, what I call, sales pitch Scripture. It was't until I became disabled, that I saw it for what it was....a show. 🤔
Everyone has been taught that we are the enemy our women and children too. We need to pull ourselves back together then engage society from our own strengths. None are going to help with this issue but us. Start by acknowledging one another still here on earth going through the same thing and respect each other as if we really do matter. Stop killing each other. Then maybe they will too. If others see us killing each other then they will not have a problem helping out and saying it’s ok to because we do it to ourselves.
Boys eventually grow into adulthood and realize church is full of lies and fairytales. On top of it, they want you to pay them to tell you lies. Men would much rather sleep in and choose their own brand of entertainment, such as eating a burger, drinking a beer and watching the game. AMEN!
Very simple..all churches want you to believe in their blind doctrines.. but to query..to understand.. to be analytic.. and to know what you believe in... i do not go to any church.. i love myself..i honour mysef..i educate myself..i do not believe in any system.. i trust myself and i live sincerly honestly and blissfully..i do not need hope nor do i see hope in any church...the pastors are not knowers but repeaters of sayings which most of them do not know and most probably do not live up to..christianity or islam both of them are blind belief systems.and blindly believing in a book ..who nobody really knows from whence these books came from and who wrote them....not systems of knowing.. trust and comprehension
You don't have to give up your Manly ways inside the Church under the Guidance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the Gospel will Help not only just Black Men but All Men to become Better Men ! Also back in the past many Church doors were Opened for Sunday School, Afternoon and Evening Services but nowadays there are too many Churches that don't even have evening services anymore not unless if there's some type of Special Program or Event has been scheduled ! But It would be a Blessing for the Church to Open their doors more often than usual, especially for the types of People that normally don't come to Church at the usual Schedule times ! It's all about Winning Souls for the Kingdom of Heaven , especially knowing that all them who's names that are not found written in the Book of Life shall be casted into the Lake of Fire ! I believe the Church should make an even greater effort to Reach out and attract more Souls that are living in darkness to the Light !
Indeed. I found that you still eventually feel alone and awkward with all the women and kids crying and talking and playing, and the other guy or two there are gay, effeminate.
This is probably going to sound a bit weird, but I think it has some validity on this topic. Generally, black men or men in general, don't like holding hands with other men. *Every* pastor I've ever "sat under" required men to hold hands in prayer meetings - and personally I hated that. Prayer is talking to God or spiritually going before God. So _"church"_ had me standing before God expressing my concerns while holding hands with some guy, and I hated that!! Please don't misunderstand, It's not that I don't like those guys, I just don't need to hold there hands. Again, you make some excellent points - thanks for posting.
Because I realize organized religion is just another wave of oppression. Love doesn't have to make you a beating post for other people personal ideology.
One man stated, that growing up in the south, Saturday night would be a lynching that would hang until sunday, therefore the men stayed home, because they feared cutting down the hang person...only little boys went to church with their mothers
Christianity was preached to black people in a manner to make us more docile. It wasn't the slave masters idea to make strong black men. God is where our strength lies, and it was never intended for you to be strong. I am a Muslim and I love strong black men. I can't respect anything else. In the NOI I was used to seeing strong black men. My father, my uncle's, my brother, and male cousins were all industrious. All the men in the Mosque were always busy, and serious. There wasn't 1 of them that you could get away with doing anything wrong in their presence. God made men and women, and we have an imbalanced world when only one side is allowed to be what God intended for them to be.

Amen, God bless you woman of God for your encouragement.

YOU BROKE IT DOWN GOOD...AMEN FOR THE TRUTH BROTHER
A lot of this has to do with the attitude of the church. Quite a few Christians are so pious it's almost offensive
Do you think if more pastors taught like minister brother Malcolm , talking about changing your mind and morals , and standing up for yourself , family and community , that it would make a difference . Enough to make men want to return to the church ?

Ezekiel:34:3
the problem is the Sheppard dont know nothing therefore the sheep dont know nothing.. BUT, the sheep got what they asked for..
Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

Rule #1 the slave and the slave master can't serve the same god. 400yrs of slavery and this white man religion didn't save not one person of color. It made us dumb and docile 2 our slave master's.
I am a black man and I love the church
Came to Christ because of black men who preached Jesus. No grandma taking me or dragging me to church every Sunday until I "got it" story here!
AND.... want a cookie😂
MISS ME WITH RELIGION (MAKE-BELIEVE), PERIOD!
Agree lol agree
I AGREE TOO! lol
100% of all religion is BS
Many of you all are absolutely Right about the concept of Religion because being Religious is what the Righteous would Declare as being FAKE ! Any Godly Person does not want to be that type of Person: We all should want to be Christ Like as possible and having the same type of mind that Jesus had during his Time here on Earth !

No annointing?

Liberty that Christ bings?

I am so glad I heard you out brotha,,,,,because I saw the title and the four letter words began to flow from my fingers, but you made so much sense and valid points that I had to re-address my thoughts about your topic, I'm still never going to go into a church ever again because the church will never change and there is no religion that knows anything about the "Most High" because for years things have only gotten worse so that tells me there is no "God" showing nobody his true ways especially these mega churches, but I commend you on your topic well spoken take care,,,,,,,,and yes I do believe there is a God/Creator/All Mighty!!!
This Is Total TRUTH!!!!!!
Powerful Wisdom.
We don't "run into the legal system", "the legal system run into us".......nuff said.
I hope you are reading these comments. Chrustianity is no longer necessary for us.
I rather go to meditation session or Buddhist session than go to church.
Very solid points and well said💯🙏🏽
Because..The BLACK Man is...”GOD”..it’s naturally WITHIN and the Supernatural Spirit that RESIDES WITHIN can not be “taught”🙏🏾🙌🏾..TRUTH

100% on point. I left because of those points.
white dude here.
God bless
The Awakening is here brothers and sisters the wakening is here

Pasors say this "Money is the root to all evil but give it to me" so they can buy expensive cars and clothes etc, etc.
The whole premise of the question is wrong. Many black men love church and some don't. For those that don't it is not that they don't like church, but rather it is that they don't like the churches they have encountered. However, there are good Bible believing churches to be found if you do your research and look. Beyond that. If any man or woman doesn't actually like church in general, the reason for that is found the Bible:
1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Romans 8:7 (KJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
And it does not matter what anybody thinks of the church or has to say about the Church because of what Jesus said to Peter:
Matthew 16:18 (KJV) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
With all these beautiful churches in the Hood, you would think that the killings and crime would be down by now .🤔
@@ministerstayfly9213
Church attendance and true Christianity are two different things. This is why people should stop blaming the church. Even good churches and good pastors cannot make people choose true Christianity and even God does not force himself upon anyone but he leaves the choice up to us.
Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
It is not the church or Christianity that is holding black people down.
Thousands of years of science, discovery and technology has never been able to fix this.
@@MusicAndTheScience At the end of the day church is a big Business. Instead of grandma giving up her life savings to church she could've been sending a few of her grandkids to trade school. At least we could see a outcome with her income.

I agree. If Grandma was a Bible believing Christian then that's exactly what she would do.
Proverbs 13:22 (KJV) A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
1 Timothy 5:8 (KJV) But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

AMEN!
I agree with you totally brutha!
I'm just not a believer in Jesus.
Also, there is sports on Sunday.
Because GAME recognize GAME!!!!!!!
Another good one Brother.
Because we're not idiots
